I'm always down for a community spot that feels like home, and after the other two places we had already stopped at, I was thinking, "Alright... this one better be special." Spoiler alert: it was. We walked in, ordered our drinks, and with the weather being way too good to waste indoors, we posted up outside on the patio like two people who clearly had nowhere better to be. And that's when this place really started to show its character. Let me tell you... this place was exactly what I hoped it would be. Locals rolling in, saying hi to each other, swapping stories, laughing like they've all known each other since cassette tapes and landlines were still a thing. Hearing people talk about folks who've been coming here for 20+ years honestly felt like I had accidentally wandered into a 90's sitcom--but in the best possible way. Just good people, good laughs, and that rare kind of atmosphere you can't manufacture. It had that "everybody knows somebody" energy... and somehow even as a first-timer, it still felt welcoming instead of cliquey. Now let's talk drinks. We ordered tequila doubles and I'm already mentally preparing for younger-me behavior... and my friend hits me with, "We don't shoot tequila, we sip on it." Excuse me? Sip it? I looked at her like she had just introduced tequila to me for the first time in my life. I was like, "Whaaaaat?" because somebody really should've told younger me that years ago. Would've saved me a few poor life decisions and at least two questionable mornings. But honestly? She was right. Sipping tequila on that patio, soaking up the weather, listening to the local stories and laughter around us... it just fit. That's the kind of moment this place gives you. It slows you down in the best way. The vibe here is relaxed, unpretentious, and full of personality. No fake polish, no trying too hard--just a true local gem doing exactly what it's supposed to do. In all, Penngrove Pub isn't just a place to grab a drink. It's a front-row seat to community. It's storytelling with tequila. It's the kind of spot that reminds you local places still matter. It felt much more intuitive, and the clues were written clearly, which made the experience more enjoyable. The only issue we experienced was in the second room, during the part where you use the dowsing rods to find the letters on the wall which are needed to open the safe. We weren't able to get any readings from the dowsing rods, we weren't sure if the magnets were not strong enough or if something else was affecting it. We ended up calling the host for help, and she was very nice and helpful. She gave us a hint about using a specific word on the metal board, and we immediately understood which five-letter word she meant. That hint worked perfectly for us. Other than that one part, we had a great experience and enjoyed the escape room!

Forestville Club is a special place to connect with locals and people from all over west county. It's family owned and ran. They just recently added Don Julio Reposado to their tequila selection, which makes it top tier for me. Nevertheless they are stocked with lots of choices and beers on tap. I absolutely love love love the bartenders here. It's clean, lots of parking and they frequently have live music. Next event is on 1/17! They even have pool tournaments here, which is pretty cool. Over the last decade we have made friends with some pretty special people who we continue who bump into. Love it here!

The worst music venue in Northern California…read more First the ticketing system went down when I tried to buy tickets. Would let you luck seats but not proces billing. Had to file a support ticket. An hour later the system came back online - though lost my place in line. Nice one. Still managed to get some nice seats on the lawn. Parking Ingress is terrible. One lane into the lot. Zero traffic management =massive traffic delays. Event ingress is similarly poor. Untrained staff, disorganized entry. Massive delays as they enact security theater on thousands. I'm due there were people on line who would miss the entire first act while trying to get in. Food/drink lines similarly screwed up. Card readers not working, slow service, very slow throughput. No excuse for this level of service. After wet make it to our table at the front of the lawn we discover the band is in there at far end of the building - at least 150ft away!.Cannot even see the stage. This odd at concert - you are music going to watching it in projection. Nobody inside either. Just put the simmer stage at the back of the billing and make it an outdoor theater- not this idiotic double venue. Ungodly loud. Hitting over 120db on spl! Gen sorry for folks without hearing protection- this will cause hearing damage. Nice sound system, but irresponsibly loud. First class venue with third-world event management. It'sa real shame, this place could be incredible if someone who knew how to manage events took over. Take a clue and study how the Greek Amphitheaters in Berkeley does things.
