Us having a drink first ...

The atmosphere and ambiance was upbeat and casual.. we arrived right in the middle of dinner rush and only had to wait about 15 min. The services was great and the waitress was really friendly. I ordered the prime rib and the husband ordered the rib eye. Both very favorable! Prices were very reasonable !! We will be back again !!!! Love this place!

Motto should be "everything frozen, nothing fresh" Got a fried chicken sandwhich that reminded me of my third grade hot school lunch.

Half of the full order of the hot beef sandwich

This place was recommended by local we met and honestly it's one of the better places we ate at while in Deadwood. Not only was the food good but the service was outstanding!!!! We had a prime rib dip and a open faced hot beef sandwich with beef gravy. Both were loaded with tender shredded beef and were very tasty. We also had the chicken strips with a baked potato and you know for a baked potato it was quite delicious. It was rubbed down lightly with oil and salt on the outside making it extra tasty. The kids shrimp baskets were a little bit of a let down provided that you only got 3 shrimp for $8.

Fun place for a burger and beer…read more Food in Deadwood is not for gourmands, so save yourself the time and money and go to Mustang Sally's for a straightforward meal. They even have a full bar! This is a sports bar, and they have the cool option to have a half portion of an appetizer instead of fries for a $3 upcharge. My husband was delighted to be able to have fried mushrooms as his side. The kids and husband had milkshakes, and they were made quickly, and everyone loved them. They have a bunch of local beers. I enjoyed my Rapid City made beer and enjoyed a sip of my husband's Spearfish beer. I had a burger, which was perfect. The fries were good. I also had some of my daughter's hot wings. They were meaty and spicy. I loved them, although I wish they had come with celery sticks. Not a big deal, though. The restaurant is decorated with old slot machines, which were fun for the kids to look at while we waited for our food.

I've eaten at this restaurant every time we've visited the area, so this experience was incredibly…read moredisappointing. After a long day of traveling, we called to place a takeout order about 30 minutes before closing. The employee who took our order, a woman in a green shirt, listened while my sister and I ordered, then let out a loud, frustrated sigh and said, "Ugh... is that it then?" Her tone made it very clear that our order was an inconvenience. When I arrived to pick up and pay, I stood at the counter much longer than I should have, and it became obvious I was being ignored. The woman in the green shirt who had taken our order made eye contact with me multiple times but continued to act as if I wasn't standing there. There were three employees behind the counter, yet none of them acknowledged me. The only person who finally came over to help was a kind woman who had been sweeping on the other side of the restaurant. She stopped what she was doing because no one else would. I have 13 years of waitressing experience, so I completely understand how frustrating last-minute orders before closing can be. However, that's never an excuse to treat paying customers with disrespect. We called before closing, were polite throughout the interaction, and simply expected basic customer service. If taking an order 30 minutes before closing and acknowledging a customer at the counter is too much to ask, then maybe customer service isn't the right fit. Being busy is understandable. Being rude and pretending customers don't exist isn't. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Oh so it is a restaurant, where you are supposed to be able to order food correct?!…read more So, whoever may be attempting to order, place an order, be prepared for rude, I mean very rude service, at least from the bar. The other waitress and waiters had smiles and polite, seemed to be anyway. I wanted to let someone know about the first time interaction I've ever had with your restaurant. It's hailing out, so I called to see about placing an order, I have no problem on waiting. I called and was greeted with, No, I'm not doing a to go order, as he's hanging up on me. You could hear, to dam busy for a to go order. So, I walked over, only to see whole lot of empty chairs. I sat down at the bar, he didn't know who I was, no possible way he knew who I was. But was thrown a menu. Within a two minutes of sitting down, he was able to take my order. But, I began to place the order of a full rack please?! (Heard so much about them ribs.) I was immediately greeted with "yeah what sides." Sorry, didn't realize there was sides that came with it in my head. I asked "oh sorry, where are the sides". Where he then tells me " maybe read here." Wow, was my response where he grabbed my menu, beyond shocked at this point. I stood up and began to walk away. I got up and I asked him, are you the one that answered the phone?! He said "yup, and please don't come back." As two other guests are sitting there had their dinner interrupted by this unfortunate incident, let me know and stated, "yeah he's a dick". This is how yall do business?! I wouldn't like to think so. I'm not here for a vacation but, for work. However, a numerous amount of people are. He made it very clear on how any one attempting to order food is treated at your facility. I understand, people have bad days but, that was truly uncalled for. The disrespect for attempting to order food at a restaurant. Wasn't asking for anything for free, definitely paying. I know this may fall on deaf ears but, I did ask for a manager below. The lady, a supervisor only for the bottom part, very kind, heard the whole thing and asked me to please write this out on a piece of paper. Thank you ma'am, hopefully this will reach someone.
