    The "Dead" whiskey line

Fun place to stop in while walking deadwood. They offer $5 tasting from their full line of whiskeys named after famous Deadwood residents and moonshines. Or you might be able to get a single sample for free. The "dead" series of whiskeys are each a different flavor and labeled with a famous resident. You can buy the full set or grab just a bottle as they make a great souvenir. I only wish that our preferred deadwood celeb, potato creek Johnny, was in a different flavor of whiskey. They offer a wide range of moonshines as well. In terms of whiskey options in town, this one is maybe a bit more touristy but way funner and more customer service oriented than the one across the road.

Coming from California, we will be coming back! The staff was welcoming and did an excellent job by accommodating a large group of us. We walked in with high expectations and were still blown away with unique cocktails such as; Root-beer float moonshine that was creamy and sweet with a barrel flavor. That cocktail was a bridge to opening up my new interest toward moonshine. From a wide variety of watermelon, strawberry, peach there's a flavor for you!

Also known as Deadwood Pizza Factory- one of the better pizzas in the Black Hills ..adjacent to the distillery. The outer crust is reminiscent of Lucali in Brooklyn, generally regarded as one of the best pizzerias in New York. The dough is made fresh and rolled out then baked in a wood-fired oven, causing the outer edge to puff and separate. The pizza was very good, the center was a bit wet but overall it was a unique and delicious product. An excellent value at $29 for an 18 inch. 8/10

They have a large selection of moonshines and flavored whiskeys to try. The flavors were fun! I enjoyed and bought the Cinnamon Whiskey which tasted a lot like a red hot candy. The Peanut Butter Whiskey was delicious as well. The staff was very friendly. It was pretty busy when I went and the staff did a great job of giving out samples in an orderly fashion and making sure to explain what each whiskey and moonshine were and what was used to make it.

5.00 for tasting. Totally worth it.

2 words...Moonshine tasting!! Worth the time to give them a try. The tasting tender was really nice. So many flavors to choose from. We enjoied the apple pie the most. After the first few they do tend to taste the same but a lot of fun to try them all. Located in the back of the store side you will find the tasting counter. Stop in and give them a try.

The Free Moonshine tasting got us through the doors of Deadwood Distillery in South Dakota. Shop was looking good with all the bottles of merchandise and other merchandise. There was a lot of Moonshine merchandise available. Personally, I did not do the moonshine tasting. Which I regret now. Our friends enjoyed the both the Peanut Butter Whiskey and the Apple flavor Whiskey. They also bought a couple of bottles for home. Prices seemed reasonable. I'd recommend stopping at Deadwood Distillery if you find yourself in Deadwood, South Dakota. Nice experience.

This is a bar with some food and moonshine. We were there in the afternoon so the place was dead. I didn't go in next door so I can't help you with that. They have some good pizza and my wife and kid liked the moonshine. At least I think my son liked it because when I asked him he just smiled and nodded. We enjoyed the quirky and funny bartender / waitress, but hated the flies. She added some local flavor, but close the door or hand out fly swatters. Stop by if your looking for slice of pizza and an adult beverage.

Had a wonderful experience at this distillery. If you go in ask for Tracy. She was a wonderful hostess. I learned about whisky & moonshine. I never tried either. You get a free taste of either one. Then you can try four more for $5. I tried the honey whisky 1st. The. I had four moonshine (apple pie, blackberry, watermelon, & butterscotch). All tasted great. But I like the apple pie & blackberry the most. The shop was cute and very well organized. I will visit here again. I think this is a wonderful experience if you're new in town.

Very bad picture lol pep pizza and peach moonshine in the jar :)

Not a lot of choices in this part of the country, so when we saw Pizza Lab that's where we went. We walked in, went up to the counter, and started to place an order, then changed our mind and decided to just stay and eat it there. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday night, but the staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. We had eaten about half our pizza before we realized that we didn't get what we had ordered (we had ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza, and only got pepperoni.) we decided to just let it go and finished our meal. It really hit the spot, and I'm sure if we were staying in the area. We would probably visit again.

The…read moreplace is open seating and has a bunch of video games and pinball to play while you wait for your food. You order at the counter and they bring it out on thin cardboard pizza trays with paper plates. Easy clean up to say the least. The pizza was outstanding! We got the Meatza and traditional pepperoni pizzas and they were delicious! Thin, but not too thin. You could almost fold them if you wanted but they didn't break apart too much if you did. The sauce had a really nice flavor and there wasn't too much cheese with just the right amount of toppings. If you drink alcohol, they have nice selection of beers and liquor drinks; but no taps, all beer is on the bottle. Also for kids, they offer fountain drinks. And of course water if you don't want any of the aforementioned. If you like pizza and are anywhere near the area, check this place out, I promise you it's worth the trip!

Upon entering the place wasn't very busy for 2 pm and we were sat down immediately. Our waitress was excellent. We were advised to try the Trash Can Nachos which were recommended by some locals and even though they were an appetizer my wife ordered them as a meal. They were excellent. I ordered the Wall- Eye Fish and Chips which I also thought was very good. Our waitress came by the table on several occasions to refill our drinks. Another very average meal in an understaffed restaurant. We arrived, and there was no one to greet us at the hostess station. I had to go to the back to the restaurant to alert them that there was now a queue of people waiting to be seated (others arrived after us). Our waitress was very nice. I think she was the only person for the whole restaurant. Thankfully we weren't in a rush, but service was slow. We ordered a couple beers and sodas for the kids. One of the beers was not available, so I switched up my order. The beers were locally made and pretty unremarkable. We started with the game sausage sampler. They were fine but not great. Then my kids had their kids meals, and I had the game burger, and my husband had a regular cheeseburger. I thought the game burger was fine, although I couldn't really tell that it was made of any meat other than beef. So not gamy, but not really remarkable either? This is a sports bar in a casino. Strangely enough, two of the screens were showing a pickleball game. I guess that's a sport, but really?
