Rosalie is amazing- as an educator, baker, and nurturer. I highly recommend her company, products, and classes! Wonderfully delicious!

Love this place-I found her on instagram and from the moment I saw her cake pop creations I knew I had to try them! I love supporting local businesses when I can and love what Rosalie does. Her business is in the market on Connecticut street in Buffalo so when you are there you are also able to check out other local businesses which is awesome. Her shop is in the basement and was easy to find. I went last weekend because she was selling her mini cassata cupcakes which are cannoli cupcakes. Cannoli anything is my most favorite dessert of all time so I knew this would be a perfect day to go. I ordered a half dozen mini cupcakes for $10. I feel this is a fair price. I was able to order these ahead of time which made it really easy for pick up. I then had to try her cake pops. I went during the spring/Easter season so I bought a buttered lamb, little chick and a Peep inspired bunny. The bunny was a funetti cake and the other two were vanilla-so moist and tasty! I then bought a red velvet, Guinness chocolate and vanilla mint for various members of my family. We aren't good at sharing small desserts so I wasn't able to try those but I got great reviews from them! The cake pops are $2.50 each but I know if you get them in bulk they would be cheaper. She also does cake pop classes at this location which I haven't done but think would be super fun to do! I will definitely be back for more.

    Cookie decorating station

I came here today for my first cookie decorating class, and it was so much fun! Everything was set up and ready to go at individual stations, and we were walked through an hour long class to make two different types of decorated cookies. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because several of the rectangular cookies (for probably 3 separate people) broke while decorating. That being said, the staff did a fabulous job of stepping in and helping to fix the broken cookies. All in all, a fun experience that I would love to do again!

    Omg, cute bunnies! #cookielove

Their cake pop designs are mind boggling, but they're not just cake pops! Check 'em out!

Rosalie told me two days before my affair she could not make these. This left me hanging. Very unreliable!

I ordered a sweet potato brownie that was like nothing I've ever eaten before. In a good way! It was firm, lots of sweet potato flavor, a little coconut, cinnamon and allspice and was covered with a thinned marshmallow fluff that had been touched like creme Brule... The lady offered us samples of her brownies, while her baby was cooing in her husbands lap. Each sample was in an individual little sealed cup and we both decided to try them. To be honest I was just expecting an average brownie. Not many brownies are bad. But this wasn't an ordinary brownie. Oh no the minute it hit my taste buds I was completely taken off guard. You know when your mouth starts talking without you" wow this is delicious!" No really delicious!! It's crusty on the outside as if you got the corner but all over!! Then it's rich, chocolaty creamy on the inside. So every bite is crunchy and smooth chewy. She also had cake pops but they weren't just a ball on a stick. They look like an ice cream bar but they are vanilla cake dipped in chocolate coating. The menu includes a variety of items but you can also order Treat Boxes which includes six treats of the Chefs choice. But custom boxes are available as well as custom cakes which were running on the computer on the counter. The cake designs were beautiful. But they aren't just a bakery, a percentage each sale goes back to taking care of the surrounding communities in Buffalo. Their motto: Thank you for helping us to bake the world better!

They had six flavors: sangria - fruity, wine; honey whiskey - topped with a Biscoff; piña colada - not pictured because I skipped that one; mojito - lime and rum; black forest - chocolate cupcake with boozy cherry; peanut butter whiskey - also a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Presentation and toppings were all really lovely and looked delicious. Super creative concept all around. Most of the cupcakes were yellow or white cake, the rum, whiskey, and wine were noticeable but not strong. So you knew they were there, but not overwhelmed. Some people might actually want them to be stronger! The flavors in general were subtle but clear. The frostings were all pretty light and pleasant, which is nice. I know there's a lot of people who really like dense buttercream and cream cheese frostings and for whom cupcakes are a frosting delivery vehicle. These are not those. Plenty of rich and delicious frosting for the cupcake but not too much. The cupcakes are not following the super sized trend; they're a nice cupcake sized cupcake. This makes it easy to rationalize eating two at a time because, um, you wanted to compare flavors. Yep, that's totally why. I liked all the flavors I tried, but was surprised that my favorite was the chocolate peanut butter and my second favorite was the mojito. Only comments would be there's some variability as to the moistness or dryness of the cake part, and the filled ones could use more filling. The people at the pop-up (I forgot to ask if they were the bakers/ owners) are really nice and happy to answer any questions or customize an order. As you can tell by my substituting an extra black forest for the piña colada. They'll be back at the Broadway Market for Dyngus Day!

Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.
