Been dying to stop here for a breakfast sandwich and was glad to finally make it with my friends who were visiting from England. We all enjoyed this start to the day. The staff were beyond friendly and truly valued our visit. I could probably have stayed and chatted with them for hours. My friend and I enjoyed every morsel of our brioche sausage breakfast sandwiches. The buttery roll was heavenly. His wife said that her avocado toast was perfectly satisfying and their son devoured his croissant. We also couldn't say "no" to their freshly baked cookies. They have a few indoor and outdoor patio seats if you want to eat in. They have a small breakfast and lunch menu as well as a gorgeous assortment of pastries. I ordered the strawberry avocado salad with chicken, no cheese and an iced coffee. It was fresh and delicious with tons of toppings. The ladies here were the nicest people I think I've ever met. Do not get the stuffed pepper soup that is made with sausage and banana peppers instead of ground beef and green peppers. (not noted on the menu board). It did not have a good taste and it was greasy. Very disappointing. read more

As a sweet treat girlie, I'm always on the lookout for new-to-me bakeries to try. And Ginger Snap has come highly recommended for a long time! I stopped by on a Saturday morning to get some baked goods for my family. It was closer to noon, so I was worried they'd be running low, but their cases were still packed! There was a bit of a line but the staff got through everyone's orders in no time. I tried some of a chocolate chip cookie, which was chewy and delicious. But the real star of the show for me was the carrot cake cupcake. The cake was moist and flavorful, and the cream cheese frosting was to die for. Not too sweet, and it complemented the cake so well. They have so many varieties of cupcakes, cookies, and specialty pastries that I know I have to come back. They've also got coffee, tea, and breakfast sandwiches that looked tasty as well. Cute place but nothing great. 1/2 sandwich and soup were so small! the sandwich was 2 bites and the soup which wasn't even hot was 2 spoonfuls. So, if you're on a diet go here. Macaroon cookie part was crumbly and the filling was oily and slippery. Coffees were very milky and didn't have much flavor. Breakfast sandwich wasn't anything special either. Went in to order a custom cake. Owner was friendly and said she was "excited to create" my vision of "99% soccer themed and 1% ballerina". I specifically said I want it to look like a soccer cake with maybe one tiny ballerina or something ballet on one little part. Paid $60 for the 6" cake, left a tip...walked out of there spending $83 and full of excitement and trust that Sara would do an amazing job. Picked up the cake. This is what I got. A very flat, plain white cake with one soccer ball and one ballet slipper. I was amazed at the lack of creativity. Then I learned that Sara the owner, that was "excited to create" wasn't even the one that created the cake. It was done by another employee the day before I was to pick up. I did reach out and Sara was quick to reply. After a couple email exchanges she summed it up to "vision for the cake was not properly communicated " and "the cake encompasses the theme". She then offered me a 20% discount for my next overpriced, under decorated cake. Perhaps this was just a bad day for decorating. Her gallery shows amazing cakes...unfortunately, the cake I received was anything but amazing. Clearly, she would rather blame the customer for poor communication instead of back her products with any kind of satisfaction reimbursement. I will not be returning. Two star rating for simply for pleasantries while ordering, having order ready on time for pick up and for communication. Zero stars for creativity and customer satisfaction. read more

Sammies as well. The products are not cheap however I expect to pay for perfection. I left with a baguette, lemon curd tart ( I made such an ass of my self ordering this- you can figure it out) , triple chocolate cupcake as well as a slice of "Hawaiian Cake". Everything was wonderful! The cake slice surprised me. More of a banana/nut/spice cake. Really good! I am currently roasting a nice, big, local head of garlic to enjoy with my crisp baguette. Okay. Look- I know there are a lot of bakeries but Ginger Snap Patisserie simply outshines all of the others. I have been twice and both times I have not been disappointed. Both times I've gotten their bacon egg and cheese on a brioche roll and everything is cooked to perfection. The eggs are fluffy, the cheese is gooey, and the bacon is crispy. No soggy or undercooked bacon here! I've sampled some of the baked goods and they are outstanding. I've had the coffee cake (pictured) and the oatmeal cherry walnut cookie and the key lime tart. If there was one last dessert on this planet I would not be able to choose between the latter two. Anyway, I want to keep this place a secret but it probably won't, so get in your car, drive to Orchard park, yes.. use that gas... and treat yourself! Can a girl just get a good cafe in Buffalo that isn't a chain restaurant? Yes, here! My husband and I were doing a little last minute shopping for the holidays when we wanted to stop somewhere for a coffee and soup, sandwich and a little treat. We came across the Patisserie as we were searching Yelp for Cafes in the area and decided to pop in. Such a cute and quaint place! There is a small parking lot in the back but a very short walk from the main strip so when the weather is nice we look forward to walking up sometime. The pastry case was BEAUTIFUL. It was full of cute macarons, cupcakes, specialty pastries, and tons of HUGE cookies- I mean they were literally the size of my face and only THREE DOLLARS, such a steal. Not only were these items beautiful but they were also so, so, so delicious. Nothing is worse than pastries and desserts that look pretty but are subpar on taste, and that was not the case here! We had a lemon crinkle cookie but have been thinking about their gingersnap cookie all week! We also ordered the tomato bisque, breakfast sandwich, coffee and a decaf vanilla latte with almond milk. All were incredible. I am a tomato soup snob and honestly it was the best tomato soup I have ordered in a restaurant, ever. My husband engulfed his breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed his coffee. The latte was so good, I wish we lived closer but probably better that we don't or I would get one every day. The staff was extremely friendly! They were also very knowledgeable about the desserts and by the taste of our food and drinks well experienced and trained in their skill. I was especially excited to try this place out after reading about the owner and her background on their website. Something that stuck out from there was that she believes she was put on this Earth to make people happy and she knows to do that with food and I hope she knows that she is doing just that. Everything about this place radiates happy, from the food, to the ambiance, to the service. This is the cutest little bakery! I met a friend here for lunch about a month ago. It has a French motif and feels very intimate and cozy. I tried the soup of the day, tomato bisque, and the turkey apple panini on cranberry walnut sourdough and a London fog tea. Quite possibly the best cookies in the whole city. Closed on mondays and tuesdays which stinks but the cookies make up for it. Baked daily this is an amazing find. Parking is in the rear and is plentiful. Quick pick ups are on the street. read more
