It is more of a takeout situation than dine in as there are only 4 seats along the window looking into the cat habitat. They offer a variety of coffee, tea & boba drinks as well as baked goods and some merch. I ordered an unsweet Dan cong hot tea latte and egg tarts and my friend got a brown sugar boba tea and biscoff cake. I like that you can customize the sweetness of any beverage from no sweetness to very sweet since everyone likes a different cup of tea so to speak. The baked goods case was very limited when we visited (around 2pm on a Saturday), but we both liked our picks. The egg tarts came in a pack of 4 packaged in a sturdy wooden box (so sturdy I'm reusing it now to hold spice jars) for $10. The tarts were a slightly sweet custard like egg filling in a crispy, flaky phyllo type shell. Very yummy! My tea was also really good; a nice balance between the tea & milk. My friend's cake was light, airy and spongy. So delicious! She was kind enough to let me taste it and I loved it even though I'm not a huge cake person. She also thought it was fantastic. She enjoyed her bubble tea as well. It came in a thick plastic cup with a snap on cover for the straw hole, so it too could easily be reused. I would definitely visit again to try other drinks and hopefully hit the baked goods case when it's full! The service was friendly and efficient.

That saves it from being a 1 star. Desserts do look good though (didn't try), but disappointed by the tea. Unfortunately, I won't be making my return.

BOOZY CUPCAKES. Sounded interesting to me! Pop-up at the Broadway Market, box of 6 for $28. Iirc,…read morethey are $5/ each. They had six flavors: sangria - fruity, wine; honey whiskey - topped with a Biscoff; piña colada - not pictured because I skipped that one; mojito - lime and rum; black forest - chocolate cupcake with boozy cherry; peanut butter whiskey - also a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Presentation and toppings were all really lovely and looked delicious. Super creative concept all around. Most of the cupcakes were yellow or white cake, the rum, whiskey, and wine were noticeable but not strong. So you knew they were there, but not overwhelmed. Some people might actually want them to be stronger! The flavors in general were subtle but clear. The frostings were all pretty light and pleasant, which is nice. I know there's a lot of people who really like dense buttercream and cream cheese frostings and for whom cupcakes are a frosting delivery vehicle. These are not those. Plenty of rich and delicious frosting for the cupcake but not too much. The cupcakes are not following the super sized trend; they're a nice cupcake sized cupcake. This makes it easy to rationalize eating two at a time because, um, you wanted to compare flavors. Yep, that's totally why. I liked all the flavors I tried, but was surprised that my favorite was the chocolate peanut butter and my second favorite was the mojito. Only comments would be there's some variability as to the moistness or dryness of the cake part, and the filled ones could use more filling. The people at the pop-up (I forgot to ask if they were the bakers/ owners) are really nice and happy to answer any questions or customize an order. As you can tell by my substituting an extra black forest for the piña colada. They'll be back at the Broadway Market for Dyngus Day!

When asked about ownership of the Google page, I was told, "We've asked them 100 times to take that down & they won't." Doing what I do for my FT job, I know how these things work & that's not it. As for our tasting, we ordered a slice of cassata, a tiramisu tower, a pecan bar & a peanut butter bar. The almond flavor of the cassata cake layers was AMAZING, but that's where the pleasure stopped. For the rest of our experience. The cassata frosting was not whipped cream & instead quite hard and unpalatable (like Crisco was used). The tiramisu tower didn't have any coffee flavor in it. The Pecan bar was loaded with pecans, but the filling was unflavored goop. The peanut butter bar was like eating sand. There were no restrooms that appeared to be available for hand washing. All in all, with a cup of coffee, I'm glad it was only $24. On to the next bakery to find a suitable cassata cake for my mom's Big Birthday next year.

The location makes sense as the residents of Williamsville are generally well-educated and worldly enough to appreciate authentic Yemeni cuisine; the same cannot be said for most of Buffalo suburbs, unfortunately, so I'm grateful the Buffalo metro now has one. Ordered the Qamaria latte, traditionally-spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. The spice notes were potent, but not at all overpowering and the beverage remained balanced. Had a chicken malawach as well; flaky and savory, and also well-spiced. It was a bit greasy which was the only regrettable thing about the experience, but not extremely and it didn't compromise the flavor or texture. The dining room itself was clean and elegantly decorated with Arabian and Gulf motifs, and the staff were friendly and helpful when my mother had questions about the menu. (I give any practicing Muslim props for working in food service while fasting during Ramadan.) All and all, grateful they're part of the community; I just hope they don't overexpand and sacrifice quality for quantity like many others.
