Please do not go to this office. Shelby their billing receptionist is completely rude and condescending. She quoted my husband 4 different amounts for his crown which if you do not know how to properly estimate an amount when you place it in the billing software to our insurance... you are not doing your job right. They priced gouged us trying to get us to pay $500...then she suddenly said $4something then finally $398.00. Tell me if that doesn't sound fishy. RUDE RUDE and DISGUSTING IS THEIR MOTO! I do not recommend this place. Most terrible dental experience. I paid in full for an item I never received. I went in for a partial, paid on my first visit. They took a digital scan and sent it off to a lab to make my partial. I went to pick it up when it was ready, and what was ordered and what I paid for, was not there. What was there was there wrong type of partial. The lady that took the scan was very apologetic and didn't understand how that happened, and stated she will get this fixed ASAP and have the lab remake it and that I can keep the mistake one as a back up as they don't want it back and that one should have never been made. After it got remade, I got a call soon after telling me the lab must have sent the partial to a different dentist office and they'll have them remake it again because it couldn't be found. So, I wait again. The correct partial comes in and I go back into Buffalo to get it. It doesn't fit. It was forced into my mouth and had to be pried out. The girl took a drill and drilled it down to the point it looked absolutely horrible leaving a gap and still didn't fit. I refused that one and asked them to take another scan or maybe the lab got it wrong, again. The Dr, the one in the picture when you look this place up told me they only use the best of the best lab and how could a lab in Nicole's Hills not get it right. I reminded him of what's already happened with the lab and he told me to leave and he was not going to work me and he was not going to keep making new partials for me. WHAT? Like it was my fault the first one that came was the completely wrong partial and the next time the lab lost it by sending it to the wrong office and it could not be found? How is any of that my fault? So, I ask for a refund as I paid for what I'm not getting now. Plus he collected on my insurance. I paid him $400 out of pocket. He told the girl upfront that the only way he'd refund me was if I gave him the first mess up back. I was told it was mine and I could use it as a back up and I was I was using it until the one I paid for came it. Welp, it's been a year now and I've not received a refund. This is pretty shady business practice. If I could give zero stars, I would. I recently had to cancel my daughter's 30-minute cleaning with the dental hygienist and was charged a $100 cancellation fee. This was her first missed appointment, and while I understand a cancellation fee, $100 for 30 minutes with the hygienist feels excessive. I still brought my son in for his scheduled 30-minute cleaning. We were about 5 minutes late, and I appreciated that they still saw him. His cleaning was routine, nothing beyond a normal biannual visit, and cost $120. So in the end, I paid $220 total -- $100 for the missed cleaning and $120 for the completed one. Considering both appointments were for the same type of cleaning, the near-identical charges for a cancellation versus an actual cleaning doesn't make sense. The hygienist did a good job, but given the cancellation policy and fee structure, we won't be scheduling another follow-up. We've been coming here since we moved to Mustang in 2023, every 6 months, so it's not like we're a long time loyal family, but that was the plan. read more

My son was visiting from California and lost a crown. Once he saw the dentist he was told his only option was an implant for thousands of dollars. Went to another dentist and got the tooth fixed and crown replaced. I don't advise anyone use this office unless you are ready to be scammed! I have had so many issues since my initial visit with Dr. Barnes last year. I can't stress enough how badly you should stay away from letting this man do anything to you. His staff is very kind, and his assistant is amazing and seemed to be the only one who would listen to my issues. I have never written a poor review. I just wish I had this information before becoming a patient of his. On my initial visit with him, he recommended that we fill about 6 cavities. I knew I had some watch areas from a previous dentist (that was now sadly out of network) so that didn't seem like a red flag to me. I had to return to his office a week later due to such intense pain and sensitivity in my teeth. I couldn't even drink a glass of water without shooting pain. He brushed me off saying it would take about 6 months to go away, and to wait it out. I made another appointment a few months later due to a filling coming loose while I was flossing. During the visit to fix that filling, ANOTHER filling completely came out while the assistant was flossing my teeth. They fixed three fillings during that visit that had either chipped or had fallen out (all that he had placed that same year) for free. He only talked to his assistant during that visit and seemed annoyed that he had to be fixing his own work. That brings me to today. As I was flossing my teeth before heading to bed, ANOTHER filling completely fell out of my mouth. You would think I eat gravel or something to cause all of these fillings to pop out. I can't stress enough how I wish I had never been a patient at this office. I had the pleasure of attending a new office to get regular cleanings done, and they were appalled at the job he had done. They said I need to get EVERY SINGLE FILLING fixed. If you value your oral health, head in a different direction. I gave them chances to fix what he had broken and it only ruined it further. The location is so cool, dr. Barnes has art everywhere and really has a fun and happy vibe. I was treated timely and was taken back to start my appointment 20 minutes early which I was grateful for. The technician was very gentle with my sensitive teeth. Dr. Barnes was very nice. I didn't need any major teeth services but I did schedule a follow up appointment for Invisalign and 6 month cleaning. read more

I am a former patient of this dentist's office and I strongly advise against it. I had scheduled a full cleaning and scaling appointment but did not receive the complete cleaning in one day. The office staff informed me that my insurance did not cover the full cleaning in one session and overcharged me. However, when I called my insurance company, they confirmed that they do cover a full cleaning and scaling in one session. Later, I received a dental statement via mail which stated that I owed the dentist $63. However, on the day of my appointment, they charged me $127.40 per day. It seems like they overcharged me and ripped me off. The quality is not great. read more

Buffalo Creek Dental has the best hygienist and dentist! They really care about you and your comfort just like family would. The hygienist gets to deal with my nervousness of being in the chair and she always puts me to ease. Dr. Barnes is so thoughtful to use the floss that works best with my teeth and is so gentle when working with my teeth. I've been twice now. Very friendly staff! They're building is adjacent to the hospital so it's easy to find and right off hwy 152. They have a nice waiting room with refreshments. The equipment appears updated. I was surprised they didn't have to use the lead shield when they did x-rays. They said digital x-rays are totally different. Cool. They have flat screen TVs on the ceiling so at least you can be entertained while they work on you. A good experience so far and I'm going back in next month. read more

I have no issue with DR. Barnes; however, the staff member over billing is sub-par at best. We will NOT go back. They billed us/insurance for a procedure that was NOT performed. I contacted said responsible person telephonically as well as a letter with no resolution. I doubt that Dr. Barnes is aware of this erroneous billing as in speaking with him during our visit, he seemed to be honest and forthright; whereas a staff member, made an error and refuse to provide an explanation nor correct. read more

He sounds like a great dentist from his reviews so I called his office for an appointment and his receptionist told me he didn't accept my Global Health Insurance. I got on my computer and searched Global website and he does accept Global Health. I felt like she was guessing just to give me a quick answer instead of looking it up.
