The matcha tasted pretty watered down and lacked the rich, earthy flavor that good matcha usually has. It felt more like lightly colored milk than a proper matcha drink. I also had high expectations for the blueberry flavor, but unfortunately it tasted a bit like cough syrup rather than a natural blueberry flavor. It kind of overpowered the drink in a a way that didn't feel very balanced. The signs for the matcha flavors were also a bit sticky and dirty (as shown in the picture), which gave me the ick a little -- a quick wipe down would make the experience feel a lot cleaner for people trying the matcha flight. The coconut matcha and lavender matcha were actually very good flavor-wise, but the matcha itself still wasn't very strong. I think the drinks could really improve if the matcha base was more bold and if some of the flavor options tasted a bit more natural. The café itself is cute and the vibe is nice, which is why I'm giving three stars. I would definitely come back again, and my review could easily change if the matcha becomes stronger in the future. Matcha can be amazing when it's done right, so I hope they refine the recipe a bit.

If I lived nearby it'd be my regular stop, especially before commuting. In long I had an hour to kill and definitely a caffeine shortage happening. This is easy to find right off the very busy avenue that is 19th. The guy ahead of me might've been buying for the whole fire station or something--he had the union sticker on his truck and his order took a while. But the barista here was actually quick. My Americano was ready in maybe a minute and a half at the most, all filled with friendly chitchat. The poor thing was next to that huge open window on a 32-degree day, trying to survive in a sweatshirt. Credit to her, 'cause she was cheerful and funny the whole time. There's everything to like about this place for sure. Looks like they make some much-fancier drinks, too, but I'm always Mr Basic in the cup (even though I do seek out fancy beans sometimes).

Paul's warm smile and friendly greeting set the tone for a great experience. I am always so happy when I see him behind the counter. Ashley is another team member who makes my coffee run even better. Always friendly and willing to help me fine tune a drink so it's not too this or too that, she is always patient and kind. This location has a stellar staff, but unfortunately I don't know all of their names. Anyone who helps you will be fabulous. Ashley, thanks for making my Mother's Day special.

There is one kiosk for self ordering and you can also order with an employee at the register. I order the Biscoff Matcha Latte with whipped cream and it was outrageously good. There was a perfect amount of Biscoff so it didn't overwhelm the matcha. I am usually afraid to try new drinks but I am glad I tried this. Considering how many drinks they had to make the wait wasn't bad and the staff was very friendly and smiled and said hello to everyone. I am looking forward to coming back for another drink. Both the taro and ube nuttiness were shining and the coldness was soothing. Honestly such a refreshing and addicting drink, I snagged another one for the trip home. Highly recommend.
