I usually love it here! Today my masseuse seemed not confident in what she was doing. It was as if she was nervous to use touch. She was a nice girl but seemed extremely new. I was not even asked what time of pressure I wanted or greeted when I walked in. When I left the office girl said "It will be $110" not anything close to how was your massage? Today I had a massage in this lovely space with Katrina, the owner. After spending way too much time gardening, my back and shoulders were killing me. Katrina went right to work relieving the tension in my shoulders. She adjusted the pressure to my comfort level, which was heavenly. She also worked on my sore lower back, and it no longer hurts. She did an amazing job and I feel so good now. From the minute you walk in the door, you immediately feel calm and relaxed. I recently booked a 60-minute deep-tissue massage with Ann. The reason for my visit was that I was having excruciating sciatica pain in one leg that hadn't improved even after some physical therapy work. When I hobbled from the waiting room into the massage room, Ann guessed right away that I was having sciatic issues. Ann made sure that I was positioned comfortably on the table and she did a wonderful job making sure I was at ease. She spend a majority of the session on the leg that was bothering me, combining 'cupping' with heat and massage. She even showed me some stretches and foam rolling techniques to help with my pain. When I left the session, I walked out of the room upright - no hobbling! I will most definitely back to Buffalo Holistic Center, to see Ann. She was wonderful. read more

I booked 2 hours of deep tissue with Maggie and the experience was EXCEPTIONAL!! I explained my focus areas and she did a perfect job of working out the knots and trigger points but also making the experience relaxing. I've had a couple other treatments here and have always been pleased. I will definitely be returning on a more regular basis. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the rooms are spotless and it is easy to sink into a chill vibe and enjoy yourself. I get massages for migraine maintenance and because I have a desk job, and I feel a million times better after my massage. Nice and clean facility in the heart of Kenmore. Deb at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, and my massage therapist, Katie, was also great! Very friendly and did a good job. It was new to me for a massage therapy clinic to utilize red light therapy for warmth and muscle relaxation instead of heating pads/towels/stones - but it's a nice touch! Red light itself is not new to me as I use it at the gym: it promotes cellular regeneration in deep tissues, collagen production, and lymphatic drainage as some benefits. Lots of positive research and journals on it. So this is a great setting to utilize it in! There's evidently a new relaxation lounge upstairs which I will have to check out upon the next visit! :) read more

What a great experience! When you walk in you are immediately made to feel tranquil--from taking off your shoes to the relaxing background music--it's easy to get in the mood to relax. My therapist, Katie, was great! Normally I like a more firm massage, but her work was really focused and made me feel like I got a lot out of the treatment. Receptionists are knowledgeable and helpful if you had any questions about the services they answer. The facility is clean and serene. The infra red sauna is my favorite, though. 45 mins of intense sweating and mood lighting, you get the room for an hour, and there is a private shower in the same space. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and moisturizer are provided, as well as towels, robes and wash cloths. The sauna can also accommodate 2 people if you want. Pro tip: you can wait in their lounge upstairs and there are beverages such as tea, coffee and seltzer provided for guests. Also, they provide free purified reverse osmosis water which is a low key bonus. They keep adding more services to choose from and I just love it here, it's excellent. read more

I just love this place! I have been twice and both times treated myself to a deep tissue massage followed by an infrared sauna session. The first time I had Keri and the second time I had Kunji. Both were amazing and really listened to my troubled areas and where I was feeling tension. The worked through my tight muscles to leave me feeling relaxed and some relief. They both asked if the pressure was okay many times and I felt the massage was very personalized to my needs. I like to close my eyes and use a massage as quiet time and I appreciated that they were not trying to talk my ear off! The rooms are clean, the tables and blankets are heated if you desire. There is a lounge area upstairs with water, coffee, tea etc and a cozy fireplace to sit by before or after your massage. I enjoy the infrared sauna. They book the room in hour increments so that you have time to use the shower and freshen up after. So happy this place opened and I will be recommending to all my friends! read more

I found this place via Groupon after deciding I needed to try something a little different after going to another place for almost 10 years...Buffalo Holistic Center offers a variety of other holistic services but, I came for a massage. Upon walking in I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist and by others that were in the room..The business is decorated beautifully and inviting. The masseuse I was paired with, David, did a combination of stretching, deep tissue, pressure pointing, pretzel twisting and whatever the heck else etc, etc...however, what he did brought me tremendous relief of my sciatica nerve pain by the end of my hour session. David was also very careful (masterful) of making sure that sheet he used to cover me as he stretched me covered my personal areas...I was not uncomfortable at any point during my experience. David was knowledgeable and confident in his craft..The room he worked out of was beautiful and calming. The music he played was a combination of some sort of zen-yoga-country and meditation combo all in one . They know their stuff. The woman who took care of me asked a few questions, Took a look at my posture and knew exactly what to do. It was a deep tissue so I'm sore but I know my shoulder and neck pain will be better. I felt it go away 5 minutes in. Pain was there for months so I was used to it then to have it disappear...holy cow. Her name was Kungi. But I hear they are all good. It's a little bit expensive but I'd rather pay an extra 20 and get results. Some places ( like the chains) its like you are on an assembly line and you leave not feeling better and sometimes you actually feel worse. I think I'd go back. read more

The microdermabrasion facial is amazing with Debbie...I've had deep tissue massages with a number of therapists and always incredible...they often will combine the deep tissue with cupping and heated blankets and towels. I bought a Groupon for a 90 minute custom massage and redeemed it this afternoon. My massage was with Keri, and let me just say, it was LIFE changing. She asked me questions about my pained areas, put some calming music on, pulled some hot stones out of some type of warmer and got right to work. She targeted tight and strained muscle areas I didn't even know existed. They used the hot stones and the same type of warm lighting you see in a sauna to loosen muscles. It was the best massage i've ever had, hands down. Before I left, I made my next appointment! Hours later, I can say my neck and shoulders haven't felt this good in years. We were in town for a small vacation, and wanted to get a massage, I came across Buffalo Holistic Center, and saw that they offered couples massage, I called and scheduled an appointment, which they gladly helped me out with. On the day of the massage we were greeted by the LMT's Amanda and Candice. This was my first massage so I didn't know what to expect. Amanda went over what we would go through and definitely made me comfortable enough to want another one. My fiancé had Candice and she stated that "she definitely addressed her problems areas" They were both very knowledgeable and welcoming. We both definitely felt relieved after we were done. Today was my first visit with Katrina. First let me say Katrina has a beautiful soul, everything about her was welcoming and comforting she has away of reading people and making them feel welcome. I have along medical history and she was very welcoming to understanding it, and wanting to know more about not only my medical but also myself. The table was heated and felt amazing while on it, focused on my neck and upper back where all the pain was. She did not try to sell me on anything I did not need, she explained what I needed and how it would work my mind, body and soul. Words can never explain what she did for me on my first visit because she is truly amazing at what she does. I have had a lot of massages in my past and I never left feeling as complete like I did here. I will be visiting Katrina again in 4 weeks and I am looking forward to it.
