I spoke with a receptionist at 11:30 am & had to be there by 1:00pm . I got there a little early . They have a nice big parking lot, so that was a plus. Inside is very spacious. They have two doors, one to go into the ophthalmology department, and one to go into the eye care store, where you buy your glasses. They have really cool lighting inside, and the whole office plus store just looks really nice. There were three receptionist working, which was very handy because someone else was there before me being taken care of already, so I got to get taken care of right away as well. I got called into the back in just a few minutes, took an eye test told the nurse or technician the problems that I was having with my eye, and thankfully, it's nothing she hasn't heard before. That was a big relief. Then I had to go see the ophthalmologist. It was a short wait. He was very nice, very talkative, explained everything I needed to know. Give me an eye exam, a real exam with the lights in the eyes and the machine and all that stuff. And was able to diagnose what was wrong with my eye. He told me what was going to happen eventually, what was happening now, and what I would have to do in the near future. Explain things very well and in easy terms, that anybody can understand, thank God. Lol. Everybody was so nice there. I had to deal with two receptionists, one nurse/technician and the ophthalmologist, and they were all so friendly and so nice. The whole place inside is very clean and decorated nicely. They seem to have a large variety of glasses, way more than a place that I go to now has. I have to go back in a month, and I do not regret having to go back because it was a good experience. I would definitely refer anybody I know to come here for your Eye Care needs.

They don't have automatic doors or a handicap button which makes getting a wheelchair in and out of two sets of double doors, extremely difficult, and no one has ever offered to help but will just sit and watch us struggle. Dr. Gulati says all the right stuff like hello and have a nice day but his delivery and flat and unbothered. The place inside is clean and quiet. Hoping I can leave a better review at his annual visit next year.

Decent selection of glasses to choose from and the staff helping with your glasses were also kind and patient. I got an email a week after my appointment that said they were ready and I was able to walk in, have them fitted, and leave within 5-10 minutes. The only downside to my experience was the wait to start the eye exam. I think I was in the waiting room for about 20 mins before i was brought back. It was busy at 12:30 on a Thursday. Maybe it was just a fluke thing during spring break?

I was told that Lasik would not be a good choice as my one eye was already too bad and the surgery might only work for a month or year before I saw changes. I appreciate the honesty of Dr. Atwal and everyone in the office as I did not want to be throwing away money. The thorough testing and care I received was very welcomed and I can't thank them enough. I now know my eye issue and the best options I have going forward. I highly recommend going to Atwal as the time they took on my eyes and the information given has comforted me going forward in any choices I make.

He clearly explained prior to the surgery what the risks and rewards were and personally took the time to go over the various procedures I could obtain, the costs and the benefits. He is a great surgeon, very capable and meticulous. Recently his office staff has undergone significant change as some longtime staff have retired. The new staff is learning the ropes but I am sure with more experience they will provide quality patient support and service

After, refusing service and contacting the insurance company, it was confirmed that his office was defrauding his patients. Shortly, after the insurance company contacted him and his office, they contacted my mom for fear of being reported to several agencies in an attempt see her. Lastly, I once Dr. Twist was a stand up guy; however since he has changed his front office staff who are rude, nasty and completely unprofessional. I now see him for what he is- money first, patient care last. One more thing of note, he now charges his patients $40.00 to write a prescription for medication and glasses. I checked with over 20 other optometrists in WNY and none of them charged their patients to write prescriptions.

I made an appointment with Schoene as my regular doctor was away. As soon as I walked in the room the doctor was already confused and frustrated with me, literally as I sat down. She refused to listen to the patient (me), and would not let me explain why I was there. She kept misdiagnosing me with newly acquired halo effect, which I've had for 18 years. She checked my eyesight so rapidly- changing lenses on me with no time to even adjust or read- then would get frustrated that I would ask to see through the various lenses again. She talked as if she was superior and very intellectual in her mind. She talked down to me in a snide tone- "I'm TRYING to help you!"- I was not arguing or raising my voice, but she seemed to insist on confrontation. She actually interrogated me like I was a convict at one point when I told her one lens looked better to me- "You JUST SAID the other was better!" She was switching lenses so fast I got confused on which was which. The worst was obviously how she talked to me- the patient- but she insulted the staff and doctor in front of me also, which was highly unprofessional. She talked down about my Doctor- telling her helper in the room "See if she (my doctor) even bothered to do this test...". She said it very condescending, and was trying to cause distrust in my doctor. I have been going there many years, so I trust my doctor and realize this lady is very unprofessional. She also talked down about my doctors staff in front of me, complaining that the tech was basically incompetent because she dilated my eyes. She claimed she couldn't do a test due to it- and wanted me to make an appointment off site for the test- by the way, my doctor has the machine at her facility, and did the test yesterday- the dilated eyes make no difference for this specific test. The worst thing is I am a human being with sharply declining eyesight- I go to this doctor for help, and I had to PAY to get insulted, frustrated, get no help, and be fearful that my eyesight would worsen before a real professional doctor came back. She gave me no written information on my diagnosis, I left very confused. My doctor came back this week, and I saw her- so I am now being taken care of by a competent doctor.
