Had an appointment with overhead doors, and they came on time, but this is my problem. The guy was at my place for no more than five minutes and my bill was $173.50 if I paid on a card. The description on the sheet says sold me a universal remote for $40 service car was $119.54 and tax was $13.96 and the bill came to $173 andAnd $73.50 he did not inspect or test anything. He was only there for five minutes. When I called back there to explain that I think I need some money back. . The girl answered the phone. She listened to what I had to say and she said oh I am so sorry about that and then she flipped it and said oh I'm not sorry. I don't know why I said that, so you have a good day and she hung up on me. I not recommend doors that's at 4455 Millport Highway in East Amherst, New York to nobody. read more

I needed a replacement door, and was very pleased with the combination of quality, price, and customer service I received in getting this purchase completed in less than three weeks. Shortly after the new door was installed, the new door refused to operate, and I contacted them on Saturday morning leaving a message that I needed service. The temperatures had dropped significantly in the few days since the new door had been installed, and perhaps this may account for the problem? As of Sunday afternoon, with no reply from them, I got up on a ladder and adjusted the operator myself to compensate for the additional force needed to operate this new door, and things began to work properly. I don't especially like to climb ladders (since I am nearly 80 years old) but I wanted to see if the operator could be adjusted to work properly. In fact, a simple adjustment to increase the force of the operator solved the problem. My conclusion is that this company did an excellent job of selling and installing the new door, but it would certainly not be my first choice going forward for service. It was very surprising to discover that they have literally no service access on Saturdays and Sundays, since they are closed. Therefore, I would recommend them on sales, but be very hesitant to suggest them as a service organization. read more

Buffalo Overhead Door gave us an estimate on a new garage door with opener in early November. We had to wait five weeks for installation as the door needed to be ordered from the factory. Once it was delivered, two men came and installed it the day they said they would. The work also included a couple of 2x4s installed around the opening to the garage in our 100+ year-old house. This was included in the price. They also provided two remote openers, plus one opener permanently attached to the outside wall next to the garage, & another attached to the wall inside the garage, making a total of four openers. Buffalo Overhead Door did a terrific job & I would give them my highest recommendation! read more

I don't know what to say other than I am shocked at how quickly they responded and how reasonably they resolved the issue. I have had a few screwy months. Everything that could go wrong, did. Including my garage door refusing to open more than a foot. Happened Sunday night. My daughter and I perused the situation. It looked bad. The spring had sprung. I called my go to - KAZ CONSTRUCTION. They do not do garage doors. Referred me to Buffalo Overhead. I called Monday, mid day. A tech was out here on Tuesday at 10am. I do not know what magic this tech did on my door. It is FIXED. It works. I paid far less than I thought I would need to. So happy! It's the simple things in life. read more

I contacted them first thing in the morning to fix whatever the problem was with my garage. They said they would try to get to me that day but they would have to let me know because they were booked solid. It was not an emergency but was an urgency because I have a ton of container perennials that would just die from the cold. They called and said first thing the next day and I said ok. Then, luckily, one of the technicians called me and said I am 30 minutes away, can you be there that quickly. Of course I could and they fixed everything for me. Fair pricing. Great service. I used another company for a repair about 5 years ago. Discount and not a good experience. When I need to replace the door or have a repair done, I absolutely will contact Buffalo Overhead Door. It was a refreshing change to deal with this company. My garage door was not opening and, from speaking with the office, to getting the repair done it was an easy process. The repair was efficiently done. The people who came out were pleasant and respectful. There were 2 visits from them in one day, since the first person repaired the problem but noticed another and called the owner, who came out later the same day. The 2nd problem was fixed and they could have been more professional. In the past few months I have been ignored by one company and replied to with nasty insults from another in trying to deal with my dysfunctional garage door. I had a problem with the garage door opener that was installed less than 5 years ago by Buffalo Overhead Door. I called the service number requesting that they call me or send out a service person. After 4 days no one called back so I called Adams Door which came out the next day. They concluded that the drive motor was not working and it was not worth repairing and surprised that it only lasted 4 years. With the motor less than 5 years old I believed it was under some sort of warranty. I called again with not response from Buffalo Overhead Door. Adams Door Company installed a new door the day after I called them and they did a excellent job. Never did get a call from Buffalo Overhead Door after 5 days. So if you want good service I would avoid Buffalo Overhead Door and recommend Adams. read more

Overall good service although took about a week for diagnose and order new door installed. Jonathan is professional only takes about 20-30 minutes to get new one equipped, he also offered couple of tips how to maintain the unit and introduce the new feature for the unit (wifi control, keypad, etc.). I was quite satisfied for the service, but timing for the project could be shorter. read more

Hired Buffalo Overhead Door to install a new front and back garage door. Our appointment was at 9:00, Luke and Paul were exactly on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable and explained all of the information about our warranty and rebate thoroughly. It's a shame that the quality of their work is so good, that we likely won't need to hire them again for quite some time. Wow!!!! Phenomenal service and quick too! Our motor was completely shot on our garage door opener so after reading reviews we decided to go with Buffalo Overhead Door. Last Wednesday they sent out a guy named Scott to give us an estimate which was very reasonable. Today a guy named Dave came out to install the new opener and also put in a keypad lock on the outside...Dave was done in about an hour and the cost was exactly what Scott said... My garage door motor kept running after door was closed. Technician came out and determined I had a bad drive gear and malfunctioning limit switch. Too costly to repair so a new opener would cost $401.00. He did replace one roller and along with the house call, I was charged $101.29. I said I would research and get back to him. Two minutes on YouTube and determined the problem was not a malfunctioning limit switch. All the switch needed was to be adjusted an eight of an inch. Now the door works perfectly. My bad not researching before calling Overhead, but shouldn't the tech at least tried to adjust the limit switch before settling on trying to sell me a new unit. Not much satisfaction from the receptionist, who didn't know what a limit switch was. I didn't either, but I font work there. read more

Wish I could give them more stars! I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. I first used them 2 years ago when we moved into our house and noticed the garage door was pulling when opening and closing and the arm was actually ripping away from the door. I had originally had Hamburg Garage door out and they wanted to replace my entire door as they deemed the issue to be unfixable. Had Buffalo Overhead door come by after and the problem was fixed for less than $100 within 30 mins! I just love the honesty! We heard a slam yesterday and went out to find the lifting cables lose and thought that was the issue. Called them first thing this morning and they came out this afternoon and noticed that the spring was the actual issue. Jeff was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing, I was in awe watching him work! He had the spring replaced within 20 mins and we're able to park our cars indoors again before the coming snow storm! What a great company!!! read more

These guys were great. They installed a door for me a few years ago and I appreciated their honesty and fair pricing so I called them back about my garage door. When I called them they came out right away to look at it and determined the problem. Unfortunately the motor was broke and I needed a new door opener. They were out a week later and installed the new opener on time and were done before I knew it. The installer was pleasant and professional. He showed me and my wife how to work the new door and set up our phones so that they could open and close the door. I would recommend them to anyone look not only for a garage door opener but also for a door as well. read more

I don't know who gave this place five stars. Must be family members. Day of installation they literally ripped part of the frame off the door. Guy asked for a check before leaving without fixing the issue. Of course I refuse to pay and he calls the supervisor who says he will come take a look. Then the jerk drive through my wet lawn instead of using the driveway like a normal human being a leaves a nice rut in my lawn since it's November. Supervisor comes out the next day and does a nice crappy job fixing the wood they ripped off the frame. I go away for work and I get a phone call saying they came pounding on my door scaring the hell out of my wife who is on crutches right now to get the check for me. Thanks for the rut in my lawn guys and your garbage caulking job. Should be embarrassed as a company that you think any of that is acceptable. This review won't be the last time you hear from me as I have pictures of all your garbage work. read more
