We stayed in key largo and wanted to check this place out. It was really good. Didn't have a lot of great reviews but the ones that there were, were spot on! Food was delicious. Portions were large, and left full and happy with our choice! The only downfall was the flies swarming, but we ate outside, so it's to be expected, also the waitress was very nice but it felt a bit rushed and like she just wasn't experienced with waiting tables. Didn't have that customer service hospitality you expect in a tourist-y destination. She was still very sweet and nice, and would recommend this place! The bacon wrapped filet was perfectly flavored and I enjoyed every bite of it! The mashed potatoes could be a bit warmer but overall a great experience. They were out of several things but that could very well be because of the closed main road into and out of Key Largo for the past several days. read more

Amazing time at Buffaloes as always!! The staff is nice and helpful and friendly with the menu. Everyone was eating outside cause it's far enough from the road and had a cool breeze at night. We had three pounds of meats, beef, pork and chicken cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The croquettes were a nice way to start. The sign says they are open at 6am so I was wondering what they had for breakfast, but they open at 8am and showed us the menu. read more

The owner, Erik, helped us with our "grazing menu" and his suggestions (amount and food items) were on point! I have to say I went here with high expectations as it has an over all rating of 4.8 stars however the steak was not good at all. The rice and beans and fries were good! The sauces were good! However, the meat tasted gross - you had to put one of the sauces to be able to eat it. Without the sauce it was not edible. Super disappointed. This was hands down the BEST food we had anywhere from Miami to Key West over an 8 day vacation. The place looks modest from the outside, but the quality of the food is top notch. Everything is made fresh, and the meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly. My personal favorite was the picanha with rice and beans for sides. Seriously, the quality of meat was something you just don't find anywhere. The food took a solid 20-30 minutes to come out, but it makes sense since they are clearly making things fresh on the spot. I highly recommend this to anyone who is sick of eating overcooked bland mahi mahi and listening to Jimmy Buffett tunes, or to anyone who just wants a killer meal! read more

Finally stopped by to try this new location that's been open for a few months. We ate outside and the server was very nice. We shared a bowl of their seafood bisque that was delicious with great flavor. My husband ordered the Picana and I ordered the ribs. Our sides were their avocado salad and black beans. Everything has great flavor. I enjoyed my husbands a bit more the picana was perfectly cooked. I welcome them to the Keys and will definitely return. I wish I would have taken pics. read more

First & Last Time! Service is very slow or better yet non existent. The food was average if that, but the 1 star is due to the inconsiderate behavior from the chef. I asked if they could heat my babies food and was told no to all the options I of heating I gave. I was forced to order black beans for my little one, told the waitress it was for him as he was very hungry and it's took 35 minutes to warm up black beans! When I mentioned to the chef that I was unhappy he could not accommodate us and my request of heating his food as all other restaurants here in Key Largo will at least give you some hot water and that my food was over cooked but got tired of waiting he smirked and could care less! Chef and staff are more interested in chatting with each other than serving the paying customer. read more
