Every so often I get a sign that it;s time to visit usually in the form of tooth pain. Occurs once in about 10 to 20 years. Most recent sign. Filling fell out from 27 years ago. I know this for a fact because I was "with child" when I had my last filling. Hubby and daughter have been using this practice and they seem comfortable with it. I felt it necessary to address the issue at hand so here went, faulty tooth in tow. Before I get to the good part about coming here let me tell you what I can't do. BiteWing x-rays and apparently novacaine. They were cool with the x rays and just did panorama. The novacaine was to be used for numbing the tooth pre-filling. After four injections in various parts of my yap whereas my ear and forehead are numb, my lovely lady dentist tried and unsuccessfully could not do what she set out to. She prevailed and got me part of the way to normalcy with a temporary filling. She did indeed concede and suggested an oral surgeon for the remainder part of my procedure. I cannot tell you how long we, dentist, oral /dental hygenist and I, sat and waited for various injections to take effect. They did to a limited effect however not to what she had hoped to achieve. I have a referral to a group that will "knock me out" with an IV versus a crowbar, which is what I was kinda hoping for today. My tooth is a pain in the a$$. It's being difficult and to show it some non respect I am going to have it yanked! This is a very reasonable place and the tech's/DDS's are all kind and understanding. Seriously, all three aforementioned sat collectively discussing non related matters hoping that the various injections would work. The novocaine will never work for me however the kindness and understanding that I was shown today will last a lifetime.

Lucky for me Dr Rappold always takes her time and respects my fears and questions. The education and experience that she holds furthers my content while sitting in her chair. The hygienist and assistant are kind, and take peoples specific needs into consideration while they are feeling vulnerable. I highly recommend this practice and am very impressed with staff and equipment.

My complaint is not with the dentist but with the ill informed and unprofessional office staff and "office manager". I understand that these girls aren't exactly seasoned at their profession however it doesn't take much to be thorough, polite and professional.

The doctor was nice but I walked out in pain which was expected. The pain I still have over a month later was not expected. I've had my teeth worked on before and have never been in this much pain post-operation. My gums surrounding one particular tooth are still swollen and red. I still cannot brush/flush without my gums bleeding. The tooth feels jagged and my filling is too tall. I still am eating with my front teeth because it's too painful otherwise unless I take 600 mg of ibuprofen beforehand. Also, this particular tooth has become a food trap with a large gap at the back of my tooth which catches everything. I never leave reviews but hoping this will come as a warning for anybody coming here for anything other than a teeth cleaning. Friendly staff and doctor. The actual work done is the problem. It's hard enough finding/trusting dentists and it was disappointing to have a poor experience after years of not having dental insurance available to me.

Right from the start everyone was very friendly. All employees were smiling. I was just in for an evaluation because I was considering change to Embury for my dental care. They took X-rays and Dr. Embury went over every one of my challenging teeth and told me what to expect. One tooth has "gone through fillingville and is headed to crown town." He spent a lot of time with me and really got to know me. It was really just an evaluation so they did not do much to my teeth. But all the equipment seemed up to date, they played my favorite music and made me feel comfortable. This was the best dentist appointment I've ever had. Now I am due for a cleaning and have no dentist. They did me a favor though because the service was awful.

A few months later I recieve a bill for like $500, After I called them they said the bill the insurance wrong that it will be taken care off. Months later still recieving a bill for the same amount, I called and the secretary said they took care of it and that I will be recieving checks from the insurance company and to bring them over. I recieved the checks fro a total of $80, the one lady said they dont take that kind of checks but the manager said she was going to take care of it. One year later I have $100 on collection and dropped my credit score. Ive called many time and they say the manager will call you back. Keep in mind my wife had the same cleaning done and she never paid anything with same insurance as me. Sacmmers

Dr. Alan Siu then came in and said that I needed a deep cleaning along with some dental fillings which he recommended that I have treated. I told him that I was almost 70 years old with both cancer and diabetes and that I only wished to have conservative dental treatment unless I was in discomfort. He then insisted that I have the treatment and stated perhaps I did not understand. I told him I was an educated man who understood perfectly well but denied such treatment. He then tried to cajole me saying then they might not be the right dentist for me. I agreed and left, never to return. In my view, Dr. Siu was arrogant and pompous and I would not recommend him.

Everyone was so friendly from the minute I stepped into the office to the moment I left. My treatment plan was thoroughly explained and I was given a pre-treatment estimate for my out-of-pocket cost before any operative work started. I had a few fillings done by Dr. Meyer and everything was going okay. I left feeling good about how efficiently he worked. However, I began to have pain over the next few weeks and had to come back a few times to ultimately resolve the issue. Every time I called back, I was greeted by the friendly staff and I was seen within the next few days. Dr. Meyer seemed genuinely concerned and worked with me to find the cause of my pain. I am so thankful I found such a caring office that was willing to work around my schedule to make sure I was comfortable.
