They took X-rays and Dr. Embury went over every one of my challenging teeth and told me what to expect. One tooth has "gone through fillingville and is headed to crown town." He spent a lot of time with me and really got to know me. It was really just an evaluation so they did not do much to my teeth. I told him that I was almost 70 years old with both cancer and diabetes and that I only wished to have conservative dental treatment unless I was in discomfort. He then insisted that I have the treatment and stated perhaps I did not understand. I told him I was an educated man who understood perfectly well but denied such treatment. He then tried to cajole me saying then they might not be the right dentist for me. I agreed and left, never to return. In my view, Dr. Siu was arrogant and pompous and I would not recommend him.

I called a few days later and was in for an appointment right away. So far, I have seen the same dental hygienist and dentist every appointment. They are both very nice and very honest and have even remembered details about me that i have shared with them, which makes going to the dentist more enjoyable. This location in particular has evening hours on Wednesday, which is important to me, because I do not have to take off of work to get to the dentist. They also have some weekend hours. The facility is newer and is very clean. All the tools they use are cleaned and then put into sealed packages and they open them up right in front of you so you know the tools they are using are hygienic. They also have appointment reminders set up, so you can have reminders sent to your e-mail or text messaged to you. I love this because it is easy to forget about when you are scheduling 6-months in advance for the general cleaning. If you are looking to get a new dentist or you haven't been to the dentist in a while and you want to get back to getting your teeth cleaned regularly, give this place a call and start taking care of your teeth!
