I cannot understand how a chain restaurant can be so ill-prepared for annual promotions like Veterans Day, but this BWW has managed to not have the requisite staff for today. My family and I waited 15 minutes at lunch time, not to be seated but to just have a host or hostess acknowledge we were there. In those 15 minutes, we did not see a single worker. We stopped by because we got an email for the BOGO (dine in, had to redeem special on their app) traditional wings on Tuesday. We sat at the high tops by the bar with Trinity stopping by to get our drink orders. She recommended the everything pretzel knots. They were good, (good flavor) but we were disappointed with the dipping cheese (lacked flavor). One of the best chain restaurants we've been to in a while! The restaurant was spotless--even the host was wiping down menus when we arrived, which was great to see. Our server, Brittany, was fantastic--super attentive and friendly. Our toddler's meal came out quickly, and our drinks arrived just as fast. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. My experience leads me to the unfortunate conclusion that staff here is racist. On 11 Nov 2025, at about 11:30 AM, my Asian wife and I waited for 1.5 hours (in the bar area) to be served while watching other customers come, be served , and go. I eventually went to the bar to place food order. I was told "I have other customers to serve first." I couldn't believe she was choosing to serve others who came after us while continuing to ignore us. Needless to say, we left. We will NOT return. We could not obtain service. I don't know why. The only thing I could think of is that they didn't like my more beautiful wife because she didn't look enough like them and did not act as ugly as they did. We've been to bdubs from central VA to OH and they have all sucked, mostly because of slow service.. even when the restaurant is empty. This is by far the best location we've been to. We were seated quick and greated promptly by our waitress, Ashly, she was a great waitress as well. Drinks, apps, and food all came out quickly and we were out in about an hour. For a Buffalo Wild Wings this is one of the best I've been to. The wings are decent but admittedly we all think Hooters are better. The ambiance tends to be much more family friendly then other locations we have tried. The service at this one has always been good. Everyone is pleasant, polite and helpful. We waited almost 10 minutes to be seated, the restaurant was empty, maybe 2 tables inside and 2 outside, looked like at least 3 people working FOH. After being seated, we asked the first person if he could put on a specific game on the TV ( 2/3 of the reason we were there) he said yes. 20 minutes later no change to tv, waitress finally comes out, we tell her what we want and order waters and two drinks ( 1 beer 1 mixed drink) as well as our food ( one appetizer and one burger), we asked her if she could put the game on, to which she said yes. 10 minutes later the waters arrived, we asked about the game, and she said she would ask the manager. 30-40 minutes passed, no drinks no game, no food. Second time in as many months this has happened to us, so we got up, told the waitress to cancel our order, and we went up the road to AJ gators who were just as busy with same amount of staff, but got better food / service and beers quickly. My husband and I were at an event at Hickory Middle School and decided to stop in for their half price wings. Now, I've only been to this location a couple times and i don't recall having a good experience either time. Unfortunately, I can't say this time was any different. We figured the order would take a while so we ordered the Queso dip as an app after the waitress said it would come right out. After waiting about 15 minutes we were ready to tell her to cancel the dip, but then it came out...of course. At one point my husband accidentally knocked over his water while trying to keep it away from our son, but the waitress never replaced the water or even refilled the cup. I decided to try this location been to greenbriers and thought was a good place for some boneless wings. I don't have high expectations because I feel this is fast food with a lot of TV'S lol. The waiter was not present during our meal meaning physically he was there but I don't know if he was new or not because he never came for anything. And when I asked for stuff it took very long for a simple item. And you know I would have been ok with it if there were actually people here but no there was only 1 other table with 4 people at it...that's it. Then there was the meal that was horrible I could not even eat it. I got half street Tacos which was amazing and loved the sauce on it and Half Cesar Salad which was so gross I could not eat it. The hubs recently received a gift card for BWW, otherwise we'd not normally go here. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We opted for the bar area to partake in sports and (thankfully) craft beer. We weren't sure what the beer offerings would be given BWW being a chain, but were pleased there were a few options. Our food came out fast and it was good - nothing amazing (again, it's chain food), but perfectly satisfactory. Our service was the standout here though. We were warmly greeted by a number of employees when we arrived and we had a few very friendly chats with a number of the staff, the bar staff in particular. Second time we have eaten here and second time we have gotten ill. First time my daughter came home and threw up. Today we ordered 50 boneless wings take out. One of the ten piece was the wrong sauce Nashville heat but was supposed to be jerk. The Nashville heat wasn't spicy at all just taste like butter and paprika. Guessing that's what gave us intestinal upset because the kids had plan boneless and didn't get ill. Both me and my husband had to run to the bathroom before we finished eating. I really, really wanted some wings. Yep, for the past three days it has been on my mind. Wings! Wings! Wings! And beer. Ranch dressing to dip the wings in. Some carrots and celery. And wings, from a little chicken. Did I mention the wings? I did? Okay. Well, there is only one place to go if you're craving hot and messy wings. Buffalo Wild Wings. This place has lots of tables. My sis and I wanted a booth and got it quickly. There were lots of televisions, many, many of them, though I didn't come there to watch sports. And lots of youngsters, with smiles and interesting hair styles and all of them wearing the number 82 on a pretend football jersey. Eighty-two. Really? I wondered why. It seems so clone-like and unoriginal, but there is a reason for this sameness. I asked my phone to tell me the answer (thank you Google), and I discovered that it relates to a particular year (when I was still in high school). 1982. That's when Jim and Scott, two friends from Buffalo, New York, now living in Columbus, Ohio, had entrepreneurship on their mind and opened a brand new eatery featuring chicken wings, just like they used to eat in NY. TVs joined in quickly, cuz people like tv. They were set to music videos. Yep. Remember the 80s and MTV? Well, one day someone asked if they'd put it on an Ohio State foot-ball game, and wahlah, the sports bar was born. Did you know that there are BWW chains in every U.S. state? Yep! That would be cool to eat at one in every state (except maybe Alaska in the winter, brrr, or East Texas during the summer, too many bugs). Me? I ate at my first BWW in Ontario. No, not in Canada, eh. In Southern California, dude. Anyways, back to the fowl food. I am a chicken when it comes to eating chicken. I like tasty and savory, but not hot and spicy. So, I ordered a medium tub of wings (on the bone), with Honey Barbecue sauce on half and Teriyaki on the other half. Ohhhhhh, it was so delicious. And some Mozzarella Sticks with red tomato sauce of some kind. And a Blue Moon in a tall glass. Wowsers! The buzz hit me quickly and I was all "blah, blah blah" until the food saturated the beer in my belly. "Yeahhhhhhh!" A single person screamed, and I looked up to see the Texas Longhorns score a touchdown. Boo! I laughed and kept eating. Five minutes later a chorus of screams erupt-ed, and I looked up to see West Virginia celebrating a touch-down of their own. That was cool! I'm not a fan of either university (go UCLA), but it was hilarious how people reacted. This eatery was the place to be if you wanted to watch a big game. Friends had done that, and rivals, and all seemed to be enjoying themselves on a Saturday evening. Look, if you're ever in the area and wanting to hang out with friends over beer and wings, come. The servers are friendly and check up on you frequently. The cooks know exactly how to prepare your wings. And there are dozens and dozens of televisions to watch whatever sporting event you want. Had an iffy experience with our waitress Hailey. She had the worst attitude throughout the duration of our dinner and spoke nothing but one word sentences in each interaction. No smile and would roll her eyes as she walked away. Most definitely not built for the service industry. Would seem so miserable when at our table but then would be laughing with her coworkers immediately after. Not sure if she had been there all day or had something else going on but no excuse. Also, needs to be retrained on health code procedures. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful!! Very attentive & sweet. Food was delicious, there was a little mix up with my order but no big deal. Waitress fixed it with no problem at all. I think her name was Karen. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the hostess. She was talking to a girl-friend that didn't even work there, our ENTIRE dinner meanwhile there were 3 dirty tables while two other tables were filled with dirty dishes from tables she had "bussed." My husband ordered this via phone and asked for celery with blue cheese dressing. When he came to the cashier, he specifically asked them if they included the celery, to which the young woman responded yes. When we got home, 10 minutes later in Moyock, we found out there were no celery. My husband called and talked with a manager. Came here with my son. Walked in and a cook walked out, looked at us then walked to the back. Server came out looked at us, then walked back in the kitchen. Some server walked out again and looked at us again, and again walked back in the kitchen. No one has said anything or greeted us. Same server walks out again, looks at us again and walks to the bar to tell the host to seat us. The Henny Hustle was fruitless twist on Hennessy which was enjoyable for a singular drink but it's sweetness was overwhelming soon after. THE SPIKED FOOTBALL WAS ABSOLUTELY VILE, the coconut milk used in it tasted spoiled and fermented, killing the vibes and eradicating any hint of rum.
