Park Lane Tavern was just as good the second time as the first. My friend invited me for a very late lunch, since I don't normally have lunch. She and her husband go at least once a week, and almost always on half price Fish & Chips day, Guess what? It was Fish & Chips day, Since it has been a very bad week I ordered a Mimosa. Everyone in our party ordered Fish and Chips. I had cabbage substituted for the fries. The Fish was huge, fresh & tasty. My plan was to take half the fish home. It would be dinner with a Spinach Salad and fruit. That worked well. The Cabbage was wonderful. I can't wait to return and try the Corned Beef & Cabbage. Service was excellent. The Pub style atmosphere is inviting. The menu is quite varied with a number of European dishes. I've now had German and British. Next time my choice will be Irish. I'm so happy to have discovered Park Lane Tavern. It's an excellent spot.

I wanted to come here for Father's Day to treat my dad, so I called ahead to see if they did reservations. They don't. So, we came here around 6:45 or so, and waited a bit to get a table. Not too long, though. Once we were seated, we looked over the menu, and it was hard finding one thing to get, it all sounded great! Our waitress was wonderful and gave us some of her recommendations, one of which was the artichoke dip. It was pretty good, in my opinion just needed a little salt. It was really packed with artichoke and spinach though, which was great! They give you just the right amount of pita bread to dip it into as well. After that, we decided to order our entrees, my dad opted for their bourbon chicken, and I got their salmon. Unfortunately, they were out of the chicken, so he instead got their steak, which wasn't that much of a difference. We are going to come back for him to try their chicken soon though! Our food came out not long after, and to my surprise the beurre blanc was a bit watery in consistency. Other than that, that was my only complaint. My dad's sauce on his dish was one of the most amazing sauce's I've ever had. I could probably eat it alone by the spoonful. His steak was cooked nicely, he asked for medium-rare. My salmon was cooked good as well. It was a very well balanced plate. Flavor wise, my vegetables needed a little more salt, but other than that it was perfect. The mashed potatoes were lovely though. As for dessert, my dad and I shared their brownie. It was very rich, and a bit dense. The ice cream really helped. Our drinks for the night were great as well. I had ordered a lavender martini I believe, and it was very floral and refreshing. I later got one of their limited time penalty shoot out shots, I forget which card it was, but it had the green tea in it, and it was amazing. It sounded like an odd but intriguing combo with Jameson (I believe, I can't remember), but it was like a green apple jolly rancher or something. I would definitely order that again. It is limited time, only during the World Cup, along with other drinks and specials, so I would try it while you can! Overall, it was a great dinner, and we will definitely be back.

Service was a mixed bag: I was seated for about 7 minutes before anyone came by to my table even to acknowledge that someone would come by. But once when the waitress came, she was nice and friendly. It felt like they don't know what to do with solo diners. The place needs some updating, yes while it's a tavern could use better lighting and updated trendy decor. There was a time when a waitress adjusted the blinds by standing on table to roll it up, couldn't it be done before the restaurant opened? My food was good, I got the steak salad. Dressing was orange cranberry. One more thing - the bartender was sneezing like crazy into her hands and not a single time did I see her wash her hands before she picked up the glasses to serve drinks at the bar - thank goodness I wasn't getting anything from the bar!

I visited Park Lane a few months ago and really enjoyed it, so I decided to come back and I'm glad I did! I saw their Fluffy Seagull Espresso Martini featured on social media as a Thursday martini special. It was made with Peanut Butter Whiskey, Kahlua, Espresso and Fluff and looked amazing, so I called on a Friday to see if they could still make it for us. I was told they could, so we headed over to try it out. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we were told they ran out of Fluff, which was a bummer! We had them make the espresso martini anyway, and it was still pretty tasty. We started off with the Firecracker Shrimp and Florentine Mushrooms and both appetizers were absolutely delicious. The shrimp were fried to perfection, definitely a 10/10! For my entrée, I went with the Maker's Mark Bourbon Chicken and it was just as great. I ate the entire plate with no regrets lol! Our server was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better and the vibe is always nice and lowkey, which I enjoy. I'll definitely be back and next time, I'll make sure to visit on a Thursday to try one of their specialty martinis when they're fully stocked lol.

Fish n chips in Va Beach! I've had authentic fish n chips and this IS that. Delicious! And in order to bring you the type of review you deserve, or course I had to get a burger too! Also top tier, the burger was juicy and delicious - and a nice size burger by the way not one of the puny ones that are getting more and more popular these days. Tasty, seasoned fries with both made this a great meal. The service was very good, all of our orders were on point even with a large party. Parking is ample and seating is as well so big group or a couple you can be accommodated. Definitely will be back!

I regularly eat at Park Lane. The food is good, especially the fish and chips, and the price is reasonable. For Dry January, I had a Berry Nojoti, which was very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Came back for some shepherds pie. Turns out Thursday is a $6 martini night and I was not disappointed. Food is great, service is friendly. I love the decor, esp the table for large parties that has a royal throne like chair. I would say the meat in the pie could be a little less strongly flavored with rosemary and/or thyme but that's arbitrary. Still very delicious.

I really enjoyed my visit with the hubby. We were gonna catch a quick movie at the Cinema Cafe nextdoor and really wanted a filling meal first. We were not disappointed. The place was full and wonderfully boisterous! I love that kind of environment. Also very nice servers!

We stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed the goat cheese dip, and Jagerschnitzel - both were absolutely delicious. Before leaving, we treated ourselves to a quick drink, and the Pineapple Upside Down Martini along with the S'mores Tini are definitely must tries. Will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu. Alexis was very sweet and made sure we were taken care of.

    Crab Benedict

Came for brunch and it was delightful, quick service and great food. The spicy bloody Mary was perfect, and really affordable at only $5. The steak Benedict was tender and cooked to my liking. Each Benedict comes with cheesy creamy hash browns. The crab Benedict was great, big pieces of crab and the Benedict sauce was a balanced touch. Inside is very cozy and pub-like. Lots of cool stuff on the walls.

Ask the Community - Park Lane Tavern

    Do they do reservations?

Yes, you can set up a reservation by calling the location directly. This applies to regular and large party groups.

    What is the price range?

Depending on what you want, I'd expect the cost to be between $11 and $30 per person. Though there are some items that would be on the higher end, that range is in the norm with what I have experienced here.

    Do they have a brunch?

They have a "make your own Bloody Mary bar" that coincides with brunch.

    Are there Vegetarian food options?

Yes, absolutely. While the breadth of your options might depend on how strict your vegetarianism is (i.e. dairy, eggs), there will be options for you, even if you have to ask for alterations to existing menu items. They're very nice!

    Do they have brunch specials?

Yes. On Sunday, they have a brunch menu. Lots of benedicts and breakfast items. Plus a build your own Bloody Mary bar and mimosa specials.

Is this a good place to watch Sunday football?

They have a good selection of beer, and some pretty good appetizers. Your tv selection is mostly limited to around the bar area, there aren't any on the patio or closer to the back of the restaurant. Depending on what seat you get I would say it's a…

Are there any happy hour specials--food/ Drinks?

Not yet. From what I understand, they will begin happy hour in about a month.

Is smoking allowed on the patio?

    Yes

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes we love well behaved dogs. 😁

The next day Charice (spelling wrong I know). All three ladies had superb customer service skills. All were attentive and friendly. Charice was the best if I had to choose. :) She went a little more over the top!! Our hotel stay was already 100% and now our dining experience was 150%... I'm loving it!! We didn't try any thing other than breakfast, but we already have plans to return again. Booth seating, table seating and seating lounge style in front of personal TV's are available.
