I have to say... I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I realize that it's a chain, but for my first visit to a buffalo wild wings, I didn't really know what to expect. Lots of big screen TV's with a nice selection of channels and sports. A huge selection of beers on tap.. including woodchuck cider!.... A friendly barkeep...and Wings that are VERY good. I should say first that, while the restaurant as a whole did NOT impress me, the manager, LaVell (sp?) did everything in his power to make it up to my friend and me. Details to follow. We ordered takeaway in the form of 1 order of honey bbq wings and 2 orders of "naked tenders" (grilled chicken strips), one with the Thai curry sauce and the other with garlic/Parmesan sauce, one with fries and the other with a side salad. The Thai curry sauce is quite possibly the saltiest substance I've ever encountered. It was way saltier than the cheapest Glasgow chip-shop curry sauces, which is to say, almost nothing BUT salt. The garlic sauce was okay, but still saltier than I'd prefer. The honey bbq wings were mediocre - not bad, but not good enough to order again. The main problems were: My friend's naked tenders were flat-out raw. They'd been barely seared on the grill, but were just raw chicken. The manager replaced them, gave my friend gift certificates in the amount of the cost of her meal ($10), and threw in a dessert for the trouble of having to drive back out there. My french fries were cold and stale. These were also replaced without question and I was given a free dessert as well. The manager also asked us to bring back the raw chicken so he could call a meeting and show it to the staff as an example of what NOT to do. All in all, this would've been a 3 or 4 star rating, but the food just was not that good, even when it was hot and cooked right. Everything was really salty. Stopped in here to watch some college football on Saturday... Our waiter was great, kind of a cheesy, annoying guy...but still, attentive, so that's the important part when drinks are involved... I had the grilled chicken wrap with honey barbecue sauce...it hit the spot at the time, but wasn't earth-shattering or amazing... My husband had some wings, they were gone quickly, so I assume they were enjoyable... I'll try to keep this one short at to the point. There were about 7 or 8 of us that ventured here yesterday. What I ordered: Fried pickles appetizer Sour cream and chive potato wedges Honey bbq chicken wings and Caribbean jerk wings. The fried pickles were over fried...meaning they were venturing on the burnt side, hard and just not good. The potato wedges were delicious! The honey bbq wings were....blah. DEFINITELY nothing to write home about. The jerk wings were ok. They had a nice, small kick to them but I have definitely had better. Service was friendly and as fast as they could be (like I mentioned earlier we had a large party so that could have contributed to the wait time). The establishment wasn't overly busy but it wasn't completely empty. When I'm in the mood for wings I don't think about B-dubs. However my husband and his friends/co-workers go crazy over this place which is why I came. Not my first time here but I though I should go ahead and review it. I enjoy coming here with friends for wings. I've tried few other items on the menu but if I come here it's for a few drinks and traditional wings. It's definitely big so plenty of seating. I used to come weekly for 50 cent wings on Tuesday. I'm pretty simple I just grab some wings maybe an appetizer. I usually go for combination of mango habanero, Parmesan garlic or asian zing. I was kind of disappointed when they took away my favorite appetizer (southwest dippers - they were soooo good) but I'll survive :( lol. There can sometimes be a long wait especially during a sporting events but it is one of the places you can watch like the UFC fights for free. So I just recommend get there early or be prepared to stand and wait for the bar area to clear. When it's packed the waiters may be running around a bit more and we tend to get the newbies but I never judge experience based on someone new & fresh out of training. We have been BWW fans for years and love to come as a family. Have noted decline in recent years across the board in quality. Tonight was particularly poor on the service side. Server was unpleasant, got the order wrong, never brought silverware etc. other server nearby helped out. Management, when you're busy we get it, you're busy. But PLEASE do not be afraid to let a customer know when they are wrong. I was here with friends and we waited over an hour for a table, just as the hostess was about to sit us down, a family just sat at our table and the manager did not want to tell them to get up. Therefore, we got VERY upset, then they tried to bring out these white picnic tables for us to sit at in the middle of the dining area....uh, I THINK NOT! Yes, I spoke my mind, I don't care what ethnicity you are! Respect and common courtesy is what you should have, so when people want to start arguing and throwing their race card out I have an issue with it. This was a horrible waiting experience, but when we finally sat down and the manager gave us a couple freebies and one of their best waitress's, we calmed down and finally got to experience better customer service. There was only was reason we came here today: There was a fundraiser going on for an organization I work with. The beer selection is vanilla, and the wings aren't even good. Luckily, came during happy hour which you can do with the tables and in the bar area and got a few of the shareables for pretty cheap, but they ran out of Blue Moon and had nothing else similar on tap, so I went with a lemonade. Even that didn't satisfy. Got half garlic spicy wings and half honey barbecue. Got a side salad and was told there was balsamic vinaigrette, and Italian dressing came to the table. He said that was what he was referring to when he said balsamic. Everything was just mediocre... go somewhere else for good wings. read more

It's actually about a 3.5-star venue, but I've had more favorable visits than bad ones. Every once in a while the chicken wings come out a little too dry, or they skimp on the veggies. One time we almost walked back to the kitchen to cook it ourselves because the place was almost empty and no employees were visible. That aside, this is the perfect place to come for the big game if it's not a local big game. As Baylor fans, we had the place to ourselves once or twice, and nowhere around here can you enjoy Baylor on all the big screens. I'm not sure how the place can stay open at times, but every now and then it is packed. It's just not as social as the Greenbrier locale. In general, I'm a constant fan of their Desert Heat and Thai Curry wings for flavor. Every now and then I'll kick it higher, but I'm not a fan of their "heat for heat's sake" approach; I'd rather have the push-n-pull of lots of spices rather than just one flavor on acid. read more

Had a good lunch here at BWW on the patio this afternoon while we waited for the thunder storm to come in and do it's thing. Service here is much better than the location in downtown Norfolk. Our orders came out on time (apps first) and were correct and the staff was more than personable. The food was delicious. What more can you ask for? read more

This place is hit or miss. I used to go every Tuesday night with about 3 other guys. I was kinda treated poorly by the females waitresses, which is kind of funny to me. They bent over backwards (not literally, well maybe) for the guys, and hardly knew I was there- but oh yeah I was the one paying and leaving the tip. Ha! Some of them maybe should have gotten a job at another wing place across the street... Anyway, when I go during the day the service is much better. The food is fine, just like any other BWW. The last time I went I tried the Blazin. It was hot, but not as hot as I expected. That was fun times. We will definitely be returning, getting take-out, etc. read more

It seems like right in the past 3 or 4 months the service has been in a downhill spiral and they are always out of something like on one visit they not only where out of fried pickles ( why would you be out of pickles ? ) and I can understand being out of the limited time wing sauce but they are still advertising it ! UPDATE: 9/11/2016 The service here has done a complete 180. The new management must have really cleaned house and started fresh. The staff is much friendlier and the service is much quicker. Kudos to the new manager(s) for making the experience much more enjoyable! The past 3 times we have come here it has not been busy (today we were here at 2 pm) but the service has been slow and the food has been subpar. I ordered a salad with chicken. The meat on my salad was equivalent to 3 boneless wings. I've been to three other Buffalo Wild Wings in the Hampton roads area and I've had the same salad at each one and I had equivalent to at least 3-4 chicken tenders at others. I believe a new manager has taken over so hopefully things change. We will give this location one more try but that's it. read more

I really don't understand how this place is still in business. They were out of 3 of the 4 beers I tried to order, were only offering certain food on the menu, no paper towels in the bathroom all evening. I ordered some chips and queso ( because I know their wings are terrible). There was enough queso in the small paper cup for maybe a dozen chips. Wound up with a plate of chips. Food here is typically on point. I mean hey it's a wing joint and they have wings in a variety of flavors. Service is horrible. Doesn't matter if you go during the week or on the weekend. I have mentioned it to management on more than one occasion. Doesn't get fixed. The service is absent minded and slow. They will forget that someone say you at a table. Forget to give you utensils and even keep you waiting to pay your bill. I have caught servers just talking while we have sat there waiting for service. I will not go back to this location, especially on a football Sunday. Two major issues, One my boyfriend did they challenge, and they conveniently could not find a camera to take his picture. Someone supposedly took it with their cell phone, but it was the most unprepared group for a challenge taker I have ever seen. No stop watch, no camera, nothing. The second major issue. We arrived on a football sunday specifically to see the Chargers. We were wearing Chargers gear, and we tell the waitress to seat us where we can see the Chargers. That particular day, the Chargers were playing the Colts, so later, a couple of colts fans were sat near us to see that TV. One play into the game, they randomly change the channel to another game. Mind you, this other game was on at least 4-5 other tvs. This was the only tv with the colts chargers game. We were mad. We had gotten there an hour before the game to secure our spot, and someone else comes in last minute and gets the channel changed. We argued and out game was put on a tiny screen we had to strain to watch. Meanwhile, this group of 4, got to watch their game on 4 tvs from every angle. Their food service is slow, you have to chase a waitress to get a drink refill, and the whole football and challenge problems makes me never ever want to go back., I go other places that are way more organized for Sunday football now. read more

I am working late and thought it would be nice to order some wings for the team at work, I placed an order on line and paid on the application via my credit card that they already had on file. no problem all set, I sent my lot attendant to go pick them up. well let me tell you, even though I paid online they required the pick up person to have my credit card with them. Well we are 15 minutes away one way trip. they would not even take my card over the phone. I've never written a Yelp review, but felt this particular BWW warranted me taking time to forewarn others. This is hands down the worst BWW I have encountered. The customer service is terrible. I've given this specific location three opportunities to get it right and they have yet to do so. I've ordered carry out on two occasions and dined inside once. On all three occasions, they displayed that they weren't organized and/or timely. I didn't get my order until after 30 minutes after the pick up time. The latest experience was the final straw. Three of my friends and I sat in the bar area and it took about 20 minutes for out order to be taken AFTER specifically telling our waitress that we were ready to order. I understand that it can get busy, but no updates were given to help us understand what was going on. I would not waste your time going to this location. read more

The place is obviously quite large from the outside and really loud on the inside. When you walk in the wide open setting gives you an idea of how great of a place it can be for watching sports. Of course it's to noisy for anything else but that's why it's a sports bar! Drinks: The place has a pretty good size bar (bar) in the place, which was also full and filled with loud cheer. Thankfully it was separated from the main floor keeping the happy hour crowd happy and the dad (me) happy since I was there with my family to watch some games, which included my 15y/o daughter, lol. Still I don't think I would bring her there at night but since it was a weekend afternoon it was fine. Appearance: The carpet was a bit dirty with remnants of wings and things but then again it was a really crowded a sports bar so I guess that's to be expected. That being said the male bathroom was pretty dang clean despite the large amount of activity it was receiving from amount of beer that was flowing through the fans. TV's: No shortage here and if you don't want to watch one of the many large screens play the trivia games on one of dedicated screens. Great resolution, size and options of games to see from any seat (5 Stars). Service: Well not everything went well. Slow would be appropriate. Slow to be seated, slow to bring us our drinks and even slower for our food to arrive. At least it came with a smile (2 Stars, only because the wait...sorry nice waiter). Food: I ordered the Nacho Burger with extra jalapeno's but they were so tasteless and mild I couldn't tell they were there at all. Even so the burger and the side order of coleslaw was pretty good (3 Stars). My wife and daughter shared a flatbread, salad (yes salads at a sports bar?), and 6 wings but only ate 4, leaving me 2. Our son ordered nothing but wings of various sauces. The flatbread was much better than I expected (3 Stars), the salad was fair to good (2 Stars) and the wings were pretty good (3-4 Stars) Desert: We skipped it, sorry nothing to add here. Overall: BWW is a great place for a large group of sports fans to sit and watch a game or a few to head into the bar and have a great time. My friends and I came here during a huge snowstorm and it was still pretty busy! The servers all worked together to help out because they sent people home early. We still got out food pretty quickly and everyone was still really nice despite the stress of working short-staffed. As for the food, I've never had a problem with their wings. "KELSI" deserves a 10 on the customer rating scale of 1-5, but the reason why I gave this place a 4 on customer service is while you are there waiting for a table to open up, the people up front could care less to even look you in the eye, and all they say is "over a 45 minute wait for a table, do you want to stay?" w/out any type of care in the world for you as a customer. Every time I order here I wait 1 hour for it to cook and 45 min at the restaurant because they are still not done. If it weren't for the bogo wings I would never come here. Now they are out of traditional wings. Not to mention when you call them you wait on the phone for 10 min and no one answers.
