Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's begin!!!.. This visit was pretty good! The hostess was kind and showed us to our table. The restaurant was kind of empty but yet relaxing as if you were eating at home..The food was good. My wife and I both ordered a burger on the lunch menu which came with a choice of a salad or soup!. We were both satisfied,I also added two orders of steamed broccoli which is always delicious!. But the thing that stole the show was our waitress!!!.. She was outstanding with her service and her personality, not to mention her honesty and sense of humor! I'm sorry because I forgot her name but she was top tier and on her waitress game!!.. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant!.

Decided to have lunch here the other day since the last time I went I was happy with my meal. This time I had a chicken sandwich and fries. Everything came out pretty quickly, hot, and tasty. Nice spacious restaurant with a casual and relaxing feel. My waitress was so friendly, attentive, and engaging. I really felt seen :0) In the area? Check Them Out!

    Our appetizers..

To be fair I'm reviewing this location based on my recent experiences at the Virginia Beach location. The service was attentive, didn't rush us and friendly. Moreover, the food was great! The only thing I didn't like was that the recommended gratuity was after tax, who tips our exorbitantly high sales tax locally?

Okay.. I haven't been back in years, so was pretty excited to see if steaks are cooked and prepared exactly how I remembered them to be! First I want to mention the server was so attentive and very pleasant. And also free bread and butter. Most restaurants don't even offer this! So no complaints with that! ! The bread was perfectly tasty and warm with butter. Moving on I ordered the steak combo "Ribeye Med-Rare with side of Fire Grilled Corn with up charge for Ceasar Salad" Ooh my...the Ribeye was perfect to my liking very tender and juicy. The grilled corn with parmesan crust was good, but it didn't excite my pallet. I should have just ordered it plain with melted butter. As for the Ceasar Salad it was pretty good. All in all ...I was pretty happy with my order it was all pretty yummy! And they do know how to cook the steaks! Will definitely come back when I get the chance.

Flo medium well but super tough! Not up to par
    Cindy S.

Today the food nor the service was all that great I had the 9oz Flo that was very tough and not the quality or standard I usually get at Longhorn...I'm a regular at this point. My husband's Flo was tender like a filet mignon is suppose to be and a sure 9oz. Not once did myself or my sister get a refill on our drinks. Although the manager was told about the steaks not being to par he or she never came around to the table to ensure guest satisfaction was achieved...it wasn't. I will say my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal but it was a party of 5 people. Glad the birthday guys meal was par. For it to be New Year's Day it wasn't super busy. The bathrooms were clean, but this visit was definitely not one of my best hence the 3 stars d ar below a 5 and only giving 3 since the bday boy who requested Longhorns enjoyed his meal.

It is a bit of wait, so we chose to sit at the bar. Bartender was kind and great service. The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered and tender.

Maybe more of a 3.5 star vs 3, but definitely not a 4. The wait was long, but we were able to wait in the car so that was nice. Once we were seated we were able to order & food came out in a timely manner for how packed they were! We each got a double margarita & we split the shrimp app. It was pretty salty and flavorless, definitely wouldn't get again. The bread that comes to the table is also very plain, other steakhouses have better options. I upgraded my salad to the strawberry pecan and it was so worth it! For our entrees we both ordered the 7oz sirloin & upgraded to deluxe side. The sides were great & the steaks were cooked really well. However, the next day I looked at my receipt and saw we were charged for the 9oz steaks. I'm assuming they just upgraded that because we got upgraded sides & a salad? I didn't pay that close attention at the restaurant because after the long wait to be sat, we were just ready to come home! We had a gift card, it was nice to try, but I don't think we will come back.

Salmon, rice, brussels sprouts and mac & cheese

Really was looking forward to eating here since it's been a while but that was a mistake. Me and my girl entered the restaurant, they didn't have silverware so there offered us plastic utensils. Then we had to continue to ask for silverware, then finally received some the bread was cold. We both ordered salmon with Brussel sprouts I ordered a salad and she had mac and cheese. My salad came out with no dressing. Every time I asked for something I received an attitude. The water I ordered looked like lemon that's how dirty it was. The food was good but the waitress didn't bother to check on us but one time, she hurried us to pay and get out of there. The manager checked on other tables but not ours. They wonder why their rating is low and you would think they would fix things but maybe they don't care enough.

The ambience at this Longhorn far exceeded my expectations. It is upscale /casual with tasteful Western decor, comfortable seating and high ceilings. The menu is impressive with a nice variety of streaks, chops, and seafood at mid-range reasonable cost. Service was friendly and attentive. The mango margarita was delicious and served in a shaker cup with an iced and salted martini glass. I feel that the steaks at Texas Roadhouse are a little better in quality but Longhorn offers a wider variety of top-quality side which more than make up for the slight varience in the steak. I loved the grilled corn on the cob, loaded baked potato, and sauteed asparagus! I will be a regular customer.

You turn down Bainbridge Point at the other end, then drive to the end of the street and voilà, there Amber Lantern is. Some friends who live in Chesapeake highly recommended this restaurant to us. The North Dining Room has the view of an Elizabeth River back inlet area. Our waitress was very friendly, personable with excellent attentive service. The ambiance is classic refined fine dining without the dress code. We started with two cups of their Crab Bisque. Warm, creamy and delicious. Our entrees were very generous. My Fried Oysters dish was a dozen and a half lightly breaded perfectly fried oysters with a side of thinly sliced dill pickles - which I found unusual - and a pleasant side of Aioli for the oysters. Also, some very perfectly cooked asparagus spears with some crunch still in them. If you like oysters, this is your dish. I also ordered a flight of 4 select beers from an extensive list. My wife enjoyed the Chef Special of the Night, Shrimp Tortellini. Oversize Cheese Tortellini with big perfectly cooked butterflied shrimp throughout the pasta tossed in a creamy white sauce, with a glass of Sangria. She loved this dish. We shared a slice of their Coconut Cream Bombe Cake - awesome. Moist coconut cake with sweet coconut custard, covered in butter cream and shredded coconut. A real winner. A very pleasant dining experience. We will be back.

We dined early, at 5:30 for our toddler and they happily and easily accommodated us at a nice, quiet corner booth with a booster seat. Our server was very friendly and mostly attentive - we did have to remind him of some things a few times but overall, he took good care of us. We decided to split several things: -Seasonal Salad - Caprese-style with a bed of spinach, tomato and mozzarella. Pretty light on the tomato and mozzarella cheese but good. -16oz. Sirloin cooked Pittsburg-style (extra char) -Collard Greens -Macaroni and Cheese add Lobster -Steak Fries -Steak bites and mashed potatoes for my 2-year old -Chocolate Mousse Cake and Coffees for table Everything was delicious. Pace was nice, salad and bread out quickly as well as my daughter's meal. The steak was excellent and perfectly cooked. Their collard greens were wonderful as well as the macaroni and cheese. Honestly, I loved everything about it. We will add this into the rotation for steakhouses when in the mood. Prices are very high on the meats - but, quality and execution was good. Ambiance is nice - large bar area and parking is easy in this complex with the free garages nearby.

So booking a reservation for mother's day brunch was a no brainer for me and I was super excited. Upon arrival I was seated immediately. The service Kyle came over almost immediately and explained the mimosas. We received water and our drinks and then it was all downhill from there. We proceeded to sit and wait for 40 very long minutes for our food. This was supposed to be an "all you can eat" toppas type of situation. It made me wonder was this done by design to control the amount of food that was being served??? Idk? I will say that as I looked around this was happening to everyone not just my table. As previously mentioned I've been to this restaurant several times because the food is Always delicious and the service was 5 stars. The food was not good this time. We tried steak and eggs, Deviled eggs, French toast, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, crab cake with Hollandaise sauce and yogurt ,with berries and granola. The server didn't ask what temperature we wanted our steak. My steak was medium well and the other steak was rare. We weren't told it was over easy eggs. 1 of us would have preferred scrambled. The only thing I loved was the shrimp and grits and the yogurt and berries. I will also add that $50 was taken off the bill and they comped my drinks. This was greatly appreciated. Had this gesture been accompanied with a pleasant attitude it would have been greatly appreciated.

The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go. This go round, Steinhilber's came to mind because I hadn't been in over 10 years, when I attended a tasting event here. The setting alone makes it feel like you're going somewhere special for dinner. We went on a Sunday, and there was a bit of a wait for an inside table. However, for our group of four, there was no wait at all to sit outside. The weather was beautiful, there was a nice breeze coming off the waterfront, and they have umbrellas that provide plenty of shade. Honestly, sitting outside ended up being a great choice. The staff here is also incredibly polite. You can tell they've been trained in fine dining etiquette, and everyone we interacted with was professional and attentive. They were very accommodating with every inquiry and request my family and I had throughout the evening. Now for the food! The thing I remembered most from my visit over 10 years ago was how delicious their fried shrimp were, so of course I had to order them again. I'm happy to report that they were just as delicious as I remembered! Crispy, flavorful, and even better paired with their signature "Steiny's Sauce." The twice baked potato was also delicious, and I added a side of creamed spinach, which was pretty good as well.
