    Crab dip

I enjoyed the atmosphere, service, food, and drinks! We got a drink special "put the lime in the coconut", and it was super yummy. Jake was our server, and he was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu/specials. Dinner came with an amuse-bouche consisting of a small biscuit and jalapeño, which was super tasty! The crab dip was also yummy. I liked the lighting and volume; it was a good balance of everything

This is really a good chophouse but if you go with a large party, expect to wait a long time for your food! We waited over an hour before the meals came out. And it was 1 waiter assigned to us for our party of 18. My favorite is the wedge salad. I love the dressing. And the crispy Brussels sprouts is also my go to side. I haven't had the steaks as it seems I always go for the seafood. And the seafood is always fresh and cooked very well. This place is my regular spot for good food and a chill atmosphere.

My first time trying a Tomahawk and it was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed the drinks, the sides, the service and the atmosphere!

Amazing service and food! We've been here a couple times before. What I don't understand is why people are bringing their kids (3 families with kids)here and why are people wearing jeans and tshirts to sit in the dining room? This is a nice place. Will definitely be back but hope kids are not there this time... takes away from date night!!!!

First off they have a server name Elijah. Best server I ever had I left him a 25% tip. Very friendly and knew the menu better than any server I've ever had. You would've thought he cooked the food his self. My pasta was a refreshing taste and that's exactly what I wanted for what it was. I was happy.

Upon entering the restaurant, the space was beautiful, great aesthetics and a really nice overall vibe. When we arrived, there was a group of Black men sitting together eating and drinking, clearly enjoying themselves. We were greeted by the hostess, who was very friendly and polite, and we were seated quickly. It wasn't very crowded at the time; it seemed like we arrived just after the lunch rush. Originally, we were going to eat at Neat Bird, which is one of my favorites, but I had been wanting to try Cork & Bull. Our waitress greeted us right away and was very pleasant. She brought us tea, water, and lemons, then returned to take our order. We ordered the crab dip, which was visually beautiful but just okay in taste. I ordered the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, and my friend ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The server was extremely attentive... almost overly attentive, which stood out to me at the time, though I didn't think much of it. The grilled chicken was slightly overcooked, but still flavorful and plentiful. I think it would benefit from being cooked just a bit less since it continues cooking when it's brought to the table. The sweet tea, however, was absolutely magnificent. My friend's steak was a solid 5 out of 5... very juicy, tender, and full of flavor. While we were dining, we called my friend's daughter to see if she wanted anything to eat. When she found out we were at Cork & Bull, she shared an incident we were unaware of at the time. She explained that 2 separate groups of Black patrons who were not together were asked to leave after an altercation involving only 1 group. According to what was shared with us, comments were made that were inappropriate and racially charged, including statements about not wanting Black people in the establishment. We did not know about this situation during our visit. Based on our personal experience alone, the food was good and the service was excellent. However, after learning about this incident, it's hard to ignore the impact it has on how the business is perceived. Having worked in management myself, I understand that situations can escalate quickly, especially if staff are not properly trained in conflict resolution. That said, the way the situation was reportedly handled was unacceptable. An apology should have been offered to the uninvolved patrons, along with some form of accommodation or acknowledgment. How situations like this are handled and whether leadership takes accountability matters. Based strictly on our visit: Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Hostess: 5/5 However, considering the reputation concerns and what we later learned, my overall rating would be 3 out of 5. The experience itself was good, but trust and accountability are just as important as good food. Still I recommend that you try the restaurant for yourself and experience the food service and vibe of the business and judge for yourself. Everyone deserves second chances.

Celebrated a recent work accomplishment here, and it was a great choice! The steak was cooked perfectly, but the highlight of my meal were the Brussels sprouts with bacon onion jam. DELICIOUS. I lucked out this night too, because the cocktail du jour was a gin bramble and it was perfectly made! The ambiance inside is cozy, dimly lit, upscale western. Service was a little slow but I don't fault them for a Saturday night. Would definitely return or bring people here for a special occasion.

My friends and I were wandering the the streets before we were welcomed by the lovely ambience and service of Cork and bull. Truly the best service we could've asked for at 9 PM at night and that was truly all due to our server Jacob. We got some appetizers and main courses to split and it was delicious. Shout out to the truffle fries as well as the broccolini which we did take home to eat while watching love Island tonight. The ice cream is also spectacular.

Ordered takeout from the bar for an early dinner/late lunch. I debated getting some apps and brussels sprouts but ending up ordering the pork chop and the brussels sprouts. Bartenders were very friendly and I got water while I waited and service was impeccable as my glass never got empty. After my food was about ready and I had already paid the bartender asked me if I wanted a water, soda, or anything else to go. I thought this was interesting even though I declined the offer as my hotel was super close and I was in the process of cleaning out my refrigerator as it was the last night in VA. The bartender also confirmed that the portions of food were huge and his information was correct. The portion of brussel sprouts was good and the sauce made it a little heavier, the pork chop was not a pork chop it was a double cut pork chop just not cut in half. It was perfectly cooked and super tasty and juicy. The brussel sprouts were also delicious and I think I wish I tried the restaurant earlier as I would have eaten here again as the service and food was great. The restaurant itself was large and new located in the bottom corner of a new luxury apartment building. The bar and kitchen was located in the middle portion of the restaurant. Overall, it was a great dining experience for my last meal in Chesapeake, VA.

The staff was personable and knowledgeable about the menu and entrees. Great service and food! The bathroom and dining area was clean. They also had a free wine tasting.

I had the cinnamon roll bread pudding for dessert. It was cold, hard, and didn't taste good. I'm a bread pudding fan and I highly discourage anyone from getting the bread pudding from here. The pastry chef was willing to give me a different dessert free but, after that experience, I was done and over it. I'd rather them not charge me for it but they did. The rest of the food and service was ok. I had the 22 oz aged ribeye, fries, and asparagus. Princess, my waitress, was really nice. However, If it wasn't for Resy and the Amex Plat credit, I would choose a different steak house.

Had a daughter/mama lunch date with this first time visit. Lots of nearby free parking and the entire Summit Point area was clean and bright. We decided to try a little of everything and it did not disappoint. Our server, Lindsey was efficient and friendly. She gave us lots of time to enjoy our lunch but the time span between her coming to check on us was great for us. I was really surprised on the portion size were for lunch. The peach burrata salad is enough for 2-3 people to share along with entrees. The truffle fries were awesome and the Caesar side salad that we opted for with our sandwiches almost did not necessitate apps for smaller appetites, (but I don't regret getting and trying them!). We ended up taking half our sandwiches home to also indulge in dessert. My daughter decided she wanted to try the banana foster(?) cheese cake. Again enough to share with 2 cheesecakes. My son was so jealous he wasn't able to join us due to having classes. Next time. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely come back!

I came here with my husband a few nights ago. We are new to the area and have been checking out restaurants around town. We had a reservation and were seated in the dining area, which seemed a bit more formal than the bar seating. We ordered oysters, she crab soup, the dry aged ribeye (chefs way), Brussels sprouts with bacon jam, and loaded baked potato. I have no complaints on the oysters or she crab soup. The ribeye was good and cooked medium rare as requested, but I felt it was priced a bit high...And to have it chefs way (an extra $10) I felt like that add on was not at all worth it for the sparse amount of mushrooms and onions we received. The sides are family style and meant to serve 3-4 people. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and crispy, but could have done with a little bit less of the bacon jam to make them less sweet. The baked potato was also delicious, although I'm not sure I'd pay $10 for a potato again. Our server was really nice and attentive and all the food came out timely. We did order the banana cheesecake for dessert, but after we were told they had it, we were told it was sold out. We ate dinner at 5pm, so they most likely sold out the day before. Overall, we enjoyed our experience but felt the prices were a bit too high for what we received. I have no problem paying for a high quality meal, but we felt that this one fell a bit short in terms of quality/amount for the price. I would give 3.5 stars if that were an option.

So, I was hopeful that the WXYZ lounge and bar in Chesapeake would be similar and provide a great atmosphere to get together for a fun, chill hangout with our friends. We were not disappointed. There was ample seating and a large table where we were able to share a meal and play board games. The lounge has games in the lobby area, which we weren't expecting, but was nice to see. We had brought our own games. My friend ordered a mocktail and enjoyed it. The four of us ordered chicken buffalo dip and fish and chips to share. I couldn't eat the chicken buffalo dip because I have a dairy allergy, but everyone said it was good. I did really enjoy the fish and chips. The fries were hot, thick, and well seasoned. The cod was very tasty as well, the skin was perfectly crispy but the meat was tender inside. While we didn't take pictures of the menu this time, I took a look at the menu online and there are some options listed on the website that were not printed on the physical menus we saw, but for what was the same the prices matched. The fish and chips isn't on the website but was on the physical menu and was affordable (two pieces or cod and ample fries). Our server (also the bartender) was nice and provided good service. The hours that they're open make it a great hangout spot for Friday nights and weekends. The restrooms are clean. The noise level was moderate and fine. We definitely recommend for hanging out with friends and will be coming back in the future.

The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Fire roasted tomato salsa, creamy guacamole, and queso served with crisp tortilla chips. All three were fresh and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. For my main, I mixed things up with a taco trio! Carne Asada (marinated steak, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro), Chicken Tinga (marinated chicken, refried black beans, avocado, greens, queso fresco, cilantro) and Blackened Mahi (mezcal pickled onion, red cabbage, red pepper pico, chipotle sauce, cilantro). The blackened mahi was my hands down favorite. It was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friends tried some awesome dishes too! One had the Coconut Curry Mahi (blackened mahi, jasmine rice, edamame succotash, with a rich coconut curry cream sauce) and the other had the Duck Confit Taco (with cherry salsa, pickled carrot salad, and cilantro-lime creme). We decided to stay close to home and headed over to The Egg Bistro, conveniently located just across the street from us. It's actually within walking distance, but not today--not in this oppressive heat! We love coming here because the food is consistently excellent, the staff is always friendly, and every visit is a great experience. My wife ordered the Chicken Salad Wrap with a side of onion rings, and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal. The onion rings arrived piping hot with just the right amount of seasoning, perfectly crisp and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Salad Wrap was fresh, flavorful, and every bit as satisfying. I ordered my favorite sandwich on the menu: a BLT with scrambled egg and Pepper Jack cheese on sourdough bread. It comes loaded with a generous portion of perfectly crispy bacon, which is always a treat. The lettuce and tomato were garden fresh, and every ingredient came together beautifully. I enjoyed every single bite of this incredible sandwich. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch, be sure to check out one of the several Egg Bistro locations in the area. You'll be glad you did, and you'll also be supporting one of our outstanding local restaurants.
