the interior of a restaurant

My wife and I were in the area and had an hour-long wait for a Dentist visit in the same shopping plaza. We noticed this at the end of the strip mall and decided to walk in and try out an appetizer to share while passing the time. We ordered the small boneless wings with medium sauce and two unsweet teas. The plate came with fries and our choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing, we chose the blue cheese. It was 12:10 PM on a busy Wednesday lunch rush but our server was super attentive and took our order within a few minutes of us being seated. Our food order was on our table, fresh and piping hot before we had time to start on our drinks. The boneless wings were tender and juicy, and covered in sauce. The fries were hot and fresh and tasted excellent. The blue cheese dressing had large chunks of blue cheese and was spot on. It is a clean and comfortable dining room with a wood interior and is warm and inviting. While we normally order bone-in wings, they can be messy, so we opted for the boneless on this trip, and they were amazing. Best wings we have had in Georgia. While this is a trip from home, I would definitely make the trip when we are in Gainesville for the service and food we had today. Definitely a five-star experience in all categories. Staff continued to check on us during our meal and we had our check paid and were out the door at 12:45. Our entire meal and drinks came up to $10.69, which was plenty for us to share. It does not get any better than this.

Every time I walk in here, I'm reminded why I stopped coming in the first place. After quitting because of the way they repeatedly take advantage of customers, nothing seems to have changed. They've raised prices at least twice in the past year, yet fail to realize that losing customers outweighs any short-term gains. This isn't gourmet food--it's bar food at best, and overpriced junk at worst. I can get junk food for far less elsewhere. At best, they'll barely break even with these tactics. The constant price hikes only confirm that this business is desperately clinging on to survive.

The only thing that was good was the drink

Came in super hungry, I was craving boneless wings and their curly fries. Went in, no one was at the hostess station. Waited like 5 min until Rosa came in asked me dine in or take out. I said take out. I read the menu online and asked for 12 wing boneless just like the menu said w/ fries and a drink I waited about 20 min came out the other lady was rude and said check that your order is correct. Looked through the bag and only saw my boneless wings, no curly fries or drink. I asked where the fries, she said you didn't ask for them I showed her the online menu. She said they didn't notated in the order like she was saying you didn't order them so naturally I said well can I get them??? She went back and took only like 1 min came back with a bag, I looked in they look like the fries were sitting there for some time. Got home sat down and the fries we over seasoned, my wings were dry, didn't look like they were tossed in Hot Buffalo Sauce. They were over seasoned. I feel like they didn't care about the taste. Never coming back.

Ambiance

I give this place two stars. It has really good food! The service was horrible. They took forever and got our order wrong. The ambiance; Buffalo's Cafe. NO. Buffalo's. NO. Country. Yeah somewhat. The fire alarm started going off during our visit. Over all this place is two stars.

Update: came home to find out the pasta had a piece of plastic wrap in it!

Been going here for a while now and haven't had any trouble dining in nor placing pick up orders until today. I called to place a pick up order and the manager named "Karen" picked up. She sounded like she was having a bad day. I asked if I could place a pickup order please. She said ok give me a second and hung up. I had to call back and the hostess picked up and grabbed my order. Update #2: my sides were forgotten with the chicken del rio.

Do you have Vegan?

I don't think they do. I've never noticed anything on the menu saying so but I usually always order wings and sweet potato fries so I could have overlooked.

Well now... let me tell y'all about a little place in Buford that flat-out surprised the socks off…read moreme -- 5 Spot Cafe. I rolled in there hungry enough to eat the bumper off a truck and ordered the meatloaf ciabatta sandwich with hand-cut fries, and sweet mercy... somebody's grandma must be back there running the kitchen because that thing was borderline life-changing. The meatloaf was thick, juicy, and had that "somebody's been perfecting this recipe since 1978" flavor going on. The ciabatta held it together like a champ, and those hand-cut fries? Lord have mercy. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- the kind you keep saying "just one more" until suddenly the basket's empty and you're thinking about ordering another. Now here's the real kicker: they've got gluten-free options, which means I can bring my wife this weekend without her looking at the menu like it personally offended her. That alone deserves a round of applause. So if you're anywhere near Buford and your stomach starts talking louder than your good sense, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be warned: You might leave full, happy... and already planning your next visit before you even get to the parking lot.

Crossroads Bar & Grille in Flowery Branch just nailed two lunch classics better than most places…read moreI've tried--the Cuban and the Reuben are absolute winners. Stopped in at 5900 Spout Springs Rd for a casual lunch and left seriously impressed. These sandwiches aren't just thrown together; they're loaded and executed perfectly. The Cuban (marinated pork loin, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, and pickles on a toasted hoagie roll) was a flavor bomb. Look at that cross-section--juicy, tender pork layered thick with ham, melty cheese, and that perfect pickle crunch cutting through the mustard kick. The bread toasted up golden and held everything together without getting soggy. Paired it with fries and a side of ketchup, and it felt like something straight out of a great Cuban spot. Huge portions that actually satisfy. The Classic Reuben on toasted marbled rye was equally stacked: thinly sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and 1000 Island dressing. The bread had that ideal crisp exterior with a soft bite, and the fillings were generous and well-balanced--no dry bites here. Came with crispy fries and a side of creamy sauce that tied it all together beautifully. Service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is that perfect relaxed neighborhood vibe (great for watching a game or just catching up), and the prices are fair for the quality and size you get. In a world full of average bar sandwiches, Crossroads delivers the real deal with fresh ingredients and obvious care. Whether you're craving the tangy, savory Reuben or the bright, porky Cuban, both hit the spot hard. I'll definitely be back. If you're in Flowery Branch, do not sleep on these sandwiches. Highly recommend--5 stars.

What a truly memorable dining experience. Not many restaurants manage to combine the charm of a…read morehospital cafeteria with the personal touch of having the waitress complain about the customers directly to them, but this place pulls it off beautifully. Our server seemed to feel we were an inconvenience simply for existing, which added a refreshing level of tension to the meal. It's not every day you get the unique opportunity to listen to your waitress gripe about you while she's still serving your table. Customer engagement at its finest. The food was equally impressive. The shrimp arrived thoughtfully pre-chilled -- perhaps to keep things exciting for the digestive system. Within minutes it gave me a stomach ache, which I assume was the chef's creative interpretation of "interactive dining." My brother ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which had such a powerful effect that he ended up throwing up shortly afterward. It's rare to see food provoke such a strong physical response, so clearly the kitchen knows how to make an impression. Overall, if you've ever wondered what it would be like to combine cafeteria-level cuisine with openly hostile service and a dash of gastrointestinal adventure, this is absolutely the place to go. Truly unforgettable.

I like the clear cocktail buckets vs the white ones they used to have. I can now see my drink when taking a pic (although they could of filled it up). The voodoo juice is always great. I tried a paloma, but had to send it back because it was so bad (sour old taste). My friend lined the mango Margarita, but I thought it was way too sweet. I miss the chairs out on the grass area to just sip a cocktail. They are all gone & there is only a dog house in that area now. The patio is all covered now. The tables in semi sun with the awning is gone too (husband likes this, but I'm a sun person) . The fried green tomatoes were delicious!! My husband didn't like the pimento cheese on them because they are soggy by the time you get to the bottom, but the rest of us loved them. The brisket Philly was good (& greasy if that isn't your thing). The fish tales & fries are always a favorite! They give a large portion of fish & they are always so fresh & tender. They look like they added items to menu (wings & build your own burger) Great service lije always!
