Great bar IF you are a chain smoker. If not.... don't go in there. They do mix their drinks well !! Kudos to the bartender. Wings....must come from baby chicks. They are very small. The Flavor of the "hot" wings is excellent. However they are the smallest wings I have ever seen. There were three of us dining on "bash" night which is AYCE night. This enabled me to try a couple of different flavors. The only ones that were good were the " hot and wet" ones. Service was good. The wings, although ordered right have excellent flavor, are just way too small. Thus, the experience is just ok. I would not go on any non bash night because their wings are the same price as other places with 1/3 of the meat. In fact, I am sure they struck a deal with some Gainesville chicken farmer to get dibs on all their chickens before they hit a month old! read more

The food was good, as was the service. i had the blue cheese steak and it was tender and made as I ordered. the staff was friendly and the manager stopped by to see how I was doing. Food and service are great. My only problem is that the wings are very small. Taste great, but tiny. While this might be a minor quibble, it's a pretty big problem if the place is going to make wings one of their signature items. Smoking is allowed at the bar. read more

Some reviewers complain the wings are too small? Their not supposed to be like full grown fryer chicken legs and wings. Chicken wings are made from Bantam chickens which are naturally smaller in size. I find them to be nice and plump for Bantay chicken. Love their wings and for $20 it will feed two really hungry people, but for takeout expect to wait if you don't call in ahead. read more

Top Notch Bar Staff. They really do a great job of taking care of their regulars and make you feel right at home. Management team really has done a great job maintaining the consistency and the quality of this local favorite. Buffalos has been my watering hole for many years now and will continue to be my go to oasis for years to come. Made the mistake of going here again after a poor meal experience 5+ years ago. La Parrilla was really busy but we should have waited. It started with the staff being surprised we would ask for a high chair for our two year old - ended up with a booster seat. Got menus and I started looking around the place (it is looking quite worn). Noticed cover plates on wall where fixtures once were wired in - then saw the COBWEBS being blown around by the overhead fans - gross! The table top was heavily scratched and sticky to boot. The waitress was nice enough but clueless about the menu (beverage or food). Ordered a couple beers and mine was so stale I couldn't choke any down. When our food finally arrived, the tortilla warmer had a lid that had been melted by some type of flame I'm guessing. The pickles that were specifically asked not to be on the burger were right there. Instead of asking if there was something wrong with my beer, the waitress actually asked if I'd like another - incredible! I was hoping that the hostess was going to say "See you soon" on our way out so I could reply "Don't count on it". I would have to see year 3K before I gave this chain another chance. I was so disappointed by this place that I created a yelp account just to let others see what a joke the four star (yelp) rating is. My husband and I usually eat there at least once a week. On Sunday, Oct.29 we were there after church with another couple. The other lady and I both ordered soup with our meal. It was not good. Plus, the bar smells of cigarette smoke bad, and the cliental are a bunch of old drunk men who don't have anything else better to do. I love this place! I hadn't eaten at a Buffalo's in years, and moving fairly recently to Oakwood, I thought I'd give it a try. I always get their lemon pepper and teriyaki wings. It's always so good!!! Friendly staff and food comes out fast. I will agree that sometimes the wings are a little small, but sometimes they are normal size. I think it just depends on the day.
