We had planned to go to a different Italian restaurant up the road from this one but it was closed and we are so glad we found and tried this gem in the heart of Hoschton. The food is definitely family style or huge portions so come hungry!! The bread, the caesar and our basil entree I forgot to photograph were absolutely amazing. They make all their pasta in house as well as the unique and very flavorful dishes and salad. The service was phenomenal considering they were super busy and had a wait staff call in sick so the one girl who was waiting on everyone knocked it out of the park with her kindness, her attention to detail and consolidation/thoughtful skills. The ambiance was quaint and semi quiet for the number of guests present and overall it was a wonderful experience. We will be back!!! read more

This restaurant puts any other burrito place to shame. I got a steak burrito and it was amazing and very tasty. The burrito was absolutely massive and genuinely felt like it weighed 2 pounds while being fresh and warm. I am not going to lie I am so mad right now. There reviews were great. Will I ordered a breakfast burrito wait 15 mins for it. For me to open it it was falling apart and the soggiest tortilla ever. It happened that we were in the area and very pleased that we gave this place a try! While waiting we noticed a constant number of customers come and go so even if we haven't gotten the food it must be good! The dining area was pretty neat and clean, and the staff were nice and courteous. Sure enough, the breakfast burritos were delicious! There were options to add potatoes and onions and glad we did. The newest "surprise" resto near our home and just tried their breakfast biscuits. A good alternative to fastfood chains serving breakfast in the Braselton, Flowery Branch and Hoschton areas. If you are looking for ambiance in your dining experience then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for solidly good cooking , you have found it. Mac's serves fresh home cooked breakfast and lunch . I had breakfast on my visit . First, the restaurant is very clean but is sparsely decorated. it has adequate number of tables for dining and they are nicely spaced if you are worried about COVID . The kitchen is up front and they are freshly cooking the food. I ordered a tenderloin egg and cheese biscuit and my wife ordered the country ham biscuit. The country ham biscuit was loaded with country ham that was tender and not too salty. The biscuits are sized just right "cat head " size. They were hot flaky and moist. My tenderloin lived up to its name, tender. A large fried egg overlapping the biscuit and cheese added to the rich taste. The menu included fried bologna, steak, ham, hot link amount other meats. They also serve grits. Their business seems to be mostly takeout and as I waited in my order I heard many custom orders for sandwiches on toast and other custom combinations. They don't seem to have a problem with whatever custom order you want to make. This restaurant is a hidden Jewell and is a wonderful place for breakfast. I have not tried lunch yes but I am sure it will be equally as exiting since everything is home made. read more

Looks like they are closed on Saturday now. That closes the door for my going there. I work at home during the week. I can't get there during the week. They were open the Saturday I posted the review. It is what it is. I'll be going to Pat's eatery on Saturday for breakfast. You can get a better selection for breakfast and Sara will make sure you get taken care of!! There wasn't much of a selection there at Mac's. But what we got was good. Pancakes and biscuits were good. We will go by Dunkin for our coffee to take in if we go back. Mac's coffee is like what you could expect in a gas station that does mechanic work onsite. I'm giving the food 5 stars. To start off I don't trust many new places where I get my breakfast, but I was itching to try this place out since I live walking distance from it. When I went in maybe the cashier didn't have a smile to see me, but she did recommend things on the menu after I told her it was my first time. Anyways I ended up getting sausage biscuits. They really did taste better than they look. Better than when I make them at home. The price was decent for 2 people. Long story short for me the food deserves 5 stars not sure if the service does though. read more
