I had a rodent problem due to the negligence of a tenant living a real life episode of hoarders with disgusting and filthy conditions (prompting the landlord to immediately process an eviction). Upon explaining to Eddie in great detail of the situation, I gave him the number to make an appointment direct with the tenant. Not ONCE but TWICE the tenant stood him up on both appointments travelling from the Bronx. At this stage, most exterminators would be truly annoyed traveling to the destination to perform a job only to get cancelled/stood up from the tenant/customer, wasting their valuable time and losing revenue! Eddie didn't charge me any appointment cancellation fee. He was patient and understood my very difficult and frustrating situation. Eddie assured me when the eviction is complete, he will come and perform his duties once I have full control of the apartment. Once the city marshall gave possession of the apartment, he came and performed the job the following week. Eddie reassured me that he will come again to inspect the entire property to make sure the situation was fully resolved, giving additional assurance and peace of mind. On a closing note, his pricing is very fair and wasn't charged for the revisit to make sure the job was fully completed. I am very please with the services and now have a go-to exterminator for my needs ^_^

At that time they came out and placed boxes filled with chicken and wax poison throughout our apartment. Not knowing any better, we thought that would solve our problem. And it did, for a few months. It turns out that the boxes were placed where the mice were entering our apartment--we were essentially paying At Last Pest Control hundreds of dollars to feed mice! I just hired a new exterminator (Affordable NYC Exterminators), who let us know that wax poison is outdated and simply putting boxes throughout the apartment is a bandaid solution. In order to eliminate the problem, you need to eliminate the points of entry. I paid At Last Pest Control WAYYY too much money for them to not get a better handle of the situation. As alleged exterminators, their conduct was simply unprofessional. When I reached out to them prior to getting a new exterminator, the first thing I was told was that I would be charged again since it is "a new month." Bottom line: save your money and DO NOT use this company (unless you like giving money away and still having to deal with a rodent problem). Another piece of advice: whichever exterminator you use, ask to see their license!

One Occupant told the exterminator roaches were coming up from the kitchen backsplash but thankfully exterminator stopped that "assumption" by showing tenant that the backsplash were hard rock sealed! My husband and I were getting bitten but had no idea what was doing the biting. I was allergic to the bites and the nurse practitioner in my doctor's office assured me that it was not bedbugs. "It's not the right bite pattern" she said. WRONG. I finally saw one of the little buggers on a dust cloth and called a friend who had had the problem several years ago. She directed me to Cesar and I'll be forever in her debt! Cesar talked to me on the phone for quite some time, told me what to look for, his prices and procedures. Then he came in and did a complete inspection. Instantly I felt we were in good hands. He was knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. Explained exactly what we had to do and why. We explained that, now that we knew what and where the problem was, we had to go through our landlord. The landlord insisted on using his own exterminator who came in with ineffective product, mishandled the mattress and completely botched the job making a bad situation worse. Enter Cesar. He came back immediately. He told us how to pack things up and all the steps we had to take including detailed instructions on how to heat our clothes to the right temperature in the Bugzapper, checking books, old furniture, closets, etc. AND he told us what not to do. I was about at the end of my rope. He was patient and reassuring and answered all calls and texts. If he was so great, then why is this review so late, you ask? I think it's taken me this long to believe that we no longer have the problem. Honestly, I don't think I've been bitten since a week or two after the treatments. But every little bump I found was attributed to a bedbug. I truly hate crawly things. Bottom line: Cesar offered awesome service. He knows his stuff backwards and forwards. I felt that for the few weeks we dealt with him he made us family members. I couldn't have asked for more. I would call him again in a heartbeat but hope I never have to. The owner Steve personally got on the phone with me, told me what to do, and within a few hours had his brother Lenny inside our apartment, doing a thorough inspection and spraying. This was in less than 24 hours. Even though there was no evidence of any infestation or even another bug, Rite Away Pest treated our entire apartment, the smell wasn't bad at all and they calmed down this screechy old hysterical lady. This company was amazing. The people were so nice and professional and my carpets look amazing. They had to take one area rug out to clean. I had an unexpected obligation pop up in the morning and called to reschedule the delivery. They said they were just finishing up nearby and could be right over and quickly arrived to put the carpet back down and all my furniture back just as it was. I was able to rush out the door to do what I had to do. It was so wonderful of them to accommodate me. I will always use them going forward.
