Frank from Captain Pest Control followed up as well. Very nice, very knowledgeable about pests as well as homes and architecture, and he's very professional. He didn't try to sell some "maintenance" package. When you do it right, there's nothing to maintain. Now if only "Pest Control" included lawyers, insurers, and HOAs I'd be set.

Let's cut straight to the story, shall we? I had a rodent problem due to the negligence of a tenant living a real life episode of hoarders with disgusting and filthy conditions (prompting the landlord to immediately process an eviction). Upon explaining to Eddie in great detail of the situation, I gave him the number to make an appointment direct with the tenant. Not ONCE but TWICE the tenant stood him up on both appointments travelling from the Bronx. At this stage, most exterminators would be truly annoyed traveling to the destination to perform a job only to get cancelled/stood up from the tenant/customer, wasting their valuable time and losing revenue! Eddie didn't charge me any appointment cancellation fee. He was patient and understood my very difficult and frustrating situation. Eddie assured me when the eviction is complete, he will come and perform his duties once I have full control of the apartment. Once the city marshall gave possession of the apartment, he came and performed the job the following week. Eddie reassured me that he will come again to inspect the entire property to make sure the situation was fully resolved, giving additional assurance and peace of mind. On a closing note, his pricing is very fair and wasn't charged for the revisit to make sure the job was fully completed. I am very please with the services and now have a go-to exterminator for my needs ^_^

At that time they came out and placed boxes filled with chicken and wax poison throughout our apartment. Not knowing any better, we thought that would solve our problem. And it did, for a few months. It turns out that the boxes were placed where the mice were entering our apartment--we were essentially paying At Last Pest Control hundreds of dollars to feed mice! I just hired a new exterminator (Affordable NYC Exterminators), who let us know that wax poison is outdated and simply putting boxes throughout the apartment is a bandaid solution. In order to eliminate the problem, you need to eliminate the points of entry. I paid At Last Pest Control WAYYY too much money for them to not get a better handle of the situation. As alleged exterminators, their conduct was simply unprofessional. When I reached out to them prior to getting a new exterminator, the first thing I was told was that I would be charged again since it is "a new month." Bottom line: save your money and DO NOT use this company (unless you like giving money away and still having to deal with a rodent problem). Another piece of advice: whichever exterminator you use, ask to see their license!

He initially promised to charge a flat fee of $250 for filling holes based on what he found, but after the job is done, he sent me an invoice of $350. He ended up honoring his initial quote and adjusted the fee. The next day, I found out he damaged my refrigerator, and after many text message communications, he agreed to refund me $238 for the damage. And today, April 6, not even one month later after his first visit, I found rat drops all over my kitchen. And because of the negative experience I had before, I am not going to ask him to come back for the guaranteed extermination.

He was able to inspect our attic and the outside and found that it was indeed a squirrel that was causing g all the problem. Bryan was able to crest and practically solve the problem in about an hour and a half. Price was reasonable when done and informed us of what to expect over the next few days. Kept his name and number in case of future pest issues. Would recommend and use again! Addendum: squirrel came back with a vengeance. Called Bryan back and he came over after we discovered that they returned by finding a new spot. Traps were laid and we caught him! Thank the gods! Seriously amazing! Will use in the future if needed!
