Little restaurant & bar inside Envision Hotel…read more I went here to celebrate after a football game! The bartenders/staff were nice but seemed very overwhelmed dealing with large crowds. I had to repeat my order several times. Overall the waitstaff did the best they can, kept a good attitude and I appreciate that. They didn't seem to have a full bar. They had to few dark liquors, bottles of beer, & maybe 4-5 tap beers on tab. The food was priced the same as any other bar. $10 for a plate of wings. I think it's fair. The buffalo wings were not good in my opinion. They were a bit slimy/soggy. The buffalo flavor was very light & didn't have a lot of flavor. I also ordered fries, they were not salted which is fine but all I'm saying is there was nothing special about them. They were also a little soggy. The atmosphere was good. It was set up really cute with traditional dining seating (tables and chairs) and also a chill chairs, couches and coffee tables. They had multiple TVs, playing different channels. Very nice setup. The bar was in the middle of the restaurant. The only complaint I have is that the stools at the bar aren't high enough, unless you are very tall. The bar is way too high.

Our bartender Dan was very accommodating and nice. He even offered that we try the different beers on tap before choosing.! Sadly the place seems like an afterthought as a restaurant for the hotel. For appetizers we got the fried chicken wings and nachos. The nachos had a abundance of lettuce and cheese but not quite enough meat and the tortilla chips themselves were a bit too hard for my taste. The wings though were good..! The were plain salt and pepper but real wings, freshly fried, and un-breaded. Can't go wrong except with the prep, but nope, these were fried perfectly. Still moist and good to the bite. I had the walleye sandwich which I thought was good, pretty decent. The breading was crispy and fluffy and the walleye wasn't 'super fresh' tasting but it didn't have a fishy taste so 'decent' quality? The bun and presentation of the plate itself was great. It came in a flaky and crisp, but firm bun with fresh romaine lettuce and tartar/white sauce served along side waffle style potato chips. The potato chips seemed to be old and stale and/or soft... :( but the sandwhich itself was solid. Good texture and quality but not really much flavor. I'd say the place was okay but I would be hesitant to try it again unless I was staying at the hotel.

They also offer pull tabs, a weekend brunch, and have live music on occasion. The food selection has something for everyone, my personal favorite is the turkey club. I really enjoy their waffle fries, and not pictured, but the BLVD Fries with bleu cheese, bacon and chives are really good, too. Their cheese curds are also really good. The only thing I haven't loved is the seasoned sour cream. It is a little too salty for my taste.

I've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, which is why it's so frustrating to be writing this. A visit in May left me feeling disappointed -- not just because of the issue itself, but because of how it was handled. During that visit, the fly problem was overwhelming. It was difficult to enjoy the meal while constantly swatting flies away, and we even had to cover our food with napkins just to keep them off our plates. It felt unsanitary and uninviting. I understand that flies can be hard to manage in open-air spaces, but when they're this pervasive -- including in the lobby and the areas where food is being prepared -- it becomes a serious concern. In response to my feedback, I was told that "the kitchen is up to code and that the restaurant recently passed a health inspection". I don't doubt that's true, but it doesn't address the core issue I brought up. You can't fully control flies when windows and doors are left open -- but that also means you can't fully prevent hundreds of flies from entering spaces where food is being handled. That's a problem. I've thought about this a lot in the time since, and what ultimately pushed me to write this review is the complete lack of follow-up. No additional response, no real acknowledgment, and frankly, what felt like a lack of genuine care. My concerns didn't feel heard -- they felt dismissed. I truly want to continue supporting The BLVD, but unless this ongoing issue is taken seriously and addressed, I don't see myself returning. If customers are having to cover their food with napkins just to keep it fly-free, you'd hope the restaurant would offer some kind of resolution or incentive to maintain customer retention. Cleanliness and customer care should be a top priority -- and right now, neither one seems to be.

I guess I just never reviewed this place until now. There's an outside patio area where you can look at the river and watch the boats. After you're finished with your meal, as your leaving the marina go straight at the stop sign and park in that parking lot. Take a walk down the trail and check out the old swing bridge. It's a nice view. They also have live music on the patio sometimes and also have corn hole/bean bag toss leagues and competitions. This day I came to have a beer, and enjoy the weather. I had the black and bleu tenderloin salad. It was good, satisfying. Not amazing, but good. The only thing I didn't like was that the steak came out on a skewer. Nothing wrong with it really I just would have preferred it in the salad so I didn't have to pull it off the skewer. I also ordered the fried pickles which I have had before but enjoy very much. They are very cheesy but I think the pickle balances the cheese out or something. Usually if something is really cheesy like that it kind of grosses me out, but this doesn't. As I sat enjoying my beer and food, I overheard the guy at the neighboring table say that this place has his favorite Bloody Mary/the best Bloody Mary he said, (except for the casino, he said that one is good too, not sure what casino but hey). I have a different opinion on their Bloody Mary. It is not my favorite. When I had it in the past, I thought it was watered down, lacking flavor, but maybe it was just that day. Who knows! However my mom tried one of the coffee cocktails at the same visit and had a similar experience. So, I just stick to beer when I come here.

St. Paul, this restaurant has docks for you to pull up while you are enjoying your day or night on the river. There is indoor seating and patio seating available. The menu is by and large bar food with an average selection of beer offerings. They also have a full bar if you are interested in a cocktail. Usually I don't stray off the menu for anything unique in these places. So we ordered burgers and wings. The burgers are cooked on a flat top just north of medium. the burgers had a good crust on them but still a little pink in the middle so they hit the mark. we definitely liked our burgers. the same thing with wings. we ordered the wings with a dry rub and buffalo sauce on the side. They were certainly plenty good. The only disappointing thing was there was an issue with their thermostat for the tap beer. I didn't care for any of their canned/bottled beers, so I had a 60 degree IPA. It wasn't the worst, but oh well. If I am hungry and nearby, I'd eat here, but it is not a destination place unless you are on the river.

It's not a fancy building but that's not a big deal. It feels cozy inside with the wood tables and well maybe not currently cozy with all the Halloween decor. It shows that the staff and owners enjoy and have fun with holiday decor and spirit! We came fairly early on a weekday because I was looking for a breakfast spot. I think we arrived around 9am. There was a decent amount of people already inside enjoying their meals. When you walk in the bar area is towards the right and the restaurant/table seating area is on the left. They had a good selection of options for breakfast. I was happily surprised! Boyfriend chose the Fireside Special. Which he proceeded to arrange into his own little breakfast sandwich creation. I had the Fireside Steak & Eggs. Sirloin was cooked rare and was a decent thick cut. Sunny side up eggs, hash browns and rye toast. I don't usually finish my hash browns but these ones were great! Not overly greasy and perfectly browned. Steak was cooked as ordered, and tasted really good. Eggs were great and so was the rye toast! I finished my entire plate and I don't normally eat much for breakfast. Our server was super nice and knew her regulars and their orders well. It was cute to watch. I would come back again for breakfast! I would also love to come back for lunch and dinner as well. This is a little hidden gem.
