Little restaurant & bar inside Envision Hotel…read more I went here to celebrate after a football game! The bartenders/staff were nice but seemed very overwhelmed dealing with large crowds. I had to repeat my order several times. Overall the waitstaff did the best they can, kept a good attitude and I appreciate that. They didn't seem to have a full bar. They had to few dark liquors, bottles of beer, & maybe 4-5 tap beers on tab. The food was priced the same as any other bar. $10 for a plate of wings. I think it's fair. The buffalo wings were not good in my opinion. They were a bit slimy/soggy. The buffalo flavor was very light & didn't have a lot of flavor. I also ordered fries, they were not salted which is fine but all I'm saying is there was nothing special about them. They were also a little soggy. The atmosphere was good. It was set up really cute with traditional dining seating (tables and chairs) and also a chill chairs, couches and coffee tables. They had multiple TVs, playing different channels. Very nice setup. The bar was in the middle of the restaurant. The only complaint I have is that the stools at the bar aren't high enough, unless you are very tall. The bar is way too high.

The were plain salt and pepper but real wings, freshly fried, and un-breaded. Can't go wrong except with the prep, but nope, these were fried perfectly. Still moist and good to the bite. I had the walleye sandwich which I thought was good, pretty decent. The breading was crispy and fluffy and the walleye wasn't 'super fresh' tasting but it didn't have a fishy taste so 'decent' quality? The bun and presentation of the plate itself was great. It came in a flaky and crisp, but firm bun with fresh romaine lettuce and tartar/white sauce served along side waffle style potato chips. The potato chips seemed to be old and stale and/or soft... :( but the sandwhich itself was solid. Good texture and quality but not really much flavor. I'd say the place was okay but I would be hesitant to try it again unless I was staying at the hotel.

One thing a lot of people might not realize: they actually serve more than just pizza! They make food right behind the bar (which is awesome to watch), though we haven't tried it yet. Definitely planning to soon. The service is always top-notch, no matter when we stop in. Joe is the best bartender -- he's always so kind, quick with a drink, and just an all-around great guy to see behind the bar. The venue itself is on the smaller side, which just adds to the cozy, neighborhood feel. They usually have good music playing, and whether it's busy or quiet is kind of hit-or-miss -- but either way, it's a comfortable spot to relax. If you're into pull tabs, they have them, plus plenty of TVs if there's a game on. If you're looking for a no-frills, friendly neighborhood bar with solid service, a fun atmosphere, and great music, Al's Corral is it!

They also offer pull tabs, a weekend brunch, and have live music on occasion. The food selection has something for everyone, my personal favorite is the turkey club. I really enjoy their waffle fries, and not pictured, but the BLVD Fries with bleu cheese, bacon and chives are really good, too. Their cheese curds are also really good. The only thing I haven't loved is the seasoned sour cream. It is a little too salty for my taste.

They do have a back patio that is fairly large, which I appreciated, but during the day it did not feel very inviting. Without lighting or much going on, it came off a bit plain. As for drinks, I tried a non alcoholic half and half with lemonade and iced tea, which I actually really liked. I also had a mojito style cocktail that was not my favorite and tasted a bit too strong for me. The overall vibe just was not really my thing, but I could see it being more fun at night or with a bigger group.

The burgers are cooked on a flat top just north of medium. the burgers had a good crust on them but still a little pink in the middle so they hit the mark. we definitely liked our burgers. the same thing with wings. we ordered the wings with a dry rub and buffalo sauce on the side. They were certainly plenty good. The only disappointing thing was there was an issue with their thermostat for the tap beer. I didn't care for any of their canned/bottled beers, so I had a 60 degree IPA. It wasn't the worst, but oh well. If I am hungry and nearby, I'd eat here, but it is not a destination place unless you are on the river.
