Oh my gosh, reminds me of my childhood! The workers were super nice. Clean and a convenient location inside of the Chandler Fashion Center. Of course I made one! There's never an age limit on having fun ;-)

We go to the Build a Bear in the Chandler Mall once a year at least because my daughter loves getting her birthday bear. Gave 3 stars for consideration of our prior year visits which were way more exciting and fun. Yesterday the ladies were just not very engaging, had to ask for help. We were the only ones at the store so not like they were busy. They also never told my daughter of her next steps, to go "clean" up the bear, pick outfits if you want etc. we almost forgot to do it then my daughter remembered and said let's do this, etc. Next we were close to the register where the computers are to name your bear. My daughter and I were chatting standing in that area discussing her bear possible name, the lady walks by and said "ready to check out," I said no, don't we get to name the bear and get the certificate? Then she said ok. It was such a weird visit. Just felt like they didn't want to be there. I missed the old days. We still had fun with our tradition. Just thought they should consider making it a little more exciting like used to be.

One thing I liked about BABW was the uniqueness of certain animals at certain locations. And also you could almost always find certain clothing for that state or city. Like a Chicago Bears jersey in Chicago. Or a t-shirt for a college. I loved visiting other stores for something unique. Yes, you can still find some things for that state or city, but not too often. What a missed opportunity. I feel the recent store's promotion was really not well thought out. My neice went away in tears. The lady that held the line was pretty rude to her, be rude to me, not the kids, they don't know any better. I miss the old days of Build a Bear. I hope that someone will consider this feedback as the whole company issue. It was a fun idea before it was commercialized so much.

Build a bear has changed over the years. It use to just be about the bears. Now they have branched out into the licensing deals with movie characters etc... I guess I am old fashion. It was hard just to find the plain bear you can then dress up. I didn't want the tooty frooty bears. I was able to find a decent bear and I bought him an elf outfit with skates. This is my Christmas bear for my 2nd grade classroom. My bear looks adorable. This store has a lot of accessories for boy and girl bears. Everything is set up in an easy system to follow for children and adults. The set up is very customer friendly. Staff was very helpful and kind. You can have birthday parties here too!!! My cats at home love the Christmas Bear.

The ladies here were helpful making my niece's Smurfette come to life. The whole experience is fun for the little ones and there are a million options of characters, clothes and accessories -almost too much to choose from. You can just buy the shell and come back and get it filled and personalized like we did. Don't forget to get your birth certificate before you leave. :)

Avoid on the weekend but other than that we had a good birthday celebration experience. Paid $1.08 for our 1 yr old's bear! So fun!

There's so much to do that we can easily spend the whole afternoon here. It's great that it's built big enough for adults to climb through and explore with the kids, we always have a blast. We enjoyed going down some of the slides together and climbing/crawling through the maze of padded fun. My son also asked me if he could play one of their claw machines. It's easy enough to buy one of their cards where you can load up tokens to play some of the game as well as ride some of the motorcycles and cars that are also in the play area. They offer food here for kiddos and there's even a smaller play area for babies. *tip: no non-slip socks, just regular socks since you don't want to get stuck in the middle of one of the slides (I typically always have my son in grippy non-slip socks when I take him to indoor playgrounds like this, was surprised they required regular socks). Pricing is decent as they let you return for the day if you want (but who are we kidding, what parent actually has that kind of time?). Parking lot is in a pretty busy shopping plaza. And playing with your kids in the playground itself can be quite dangerous as some kids can be quite rambunctious so just be cautious especially if you have much younger ones.

Apon arrival we checked in and signed our waivers. We had to purchase socks and at 4.99 a pair - this feels like a cash grab.. I digress. It was after lunch and we were all hungry so we ordered two pizzas. Now for $25 a pizza I'm expecting a decent sized pizza and with quality toppings etc. unfortunately our pizzas came out burnt and were very small for$25.. the staff also gave us grief about ordering another pizza because " we already had two why do we need another" words from staff. Unfortunately this really bummed me out considering we are here for my sons birthday!! I let this go in the moment because the place was staffed with just teenagers and all of them had attitudes so I wasn't going to complain to them when I doubt I would have gotten any real help. This location itself doesn't have that many attractions like the website shows the other locations having more options like slides etc. the foam in the pits were old looking and lots were torn into making it seem a bit more dirtier.. some of the courses had broken parts that didn't work exactly how it should have. Over all for my sons birthday party being held here in still super disappointed in the treatment from staff and the lack of care for the equipment there. I don't think we would recommend this place ..

My wife and I were there for the Ostrich Festival which had recently moved from Tumbleweed Park to Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass. A very different footprint from the park, but the behind-the-scenes folks responsible for the festival did a fantastic job in the new location. Known for its concerts, the festival did not disappoint. Kansas, Vanilla Ice, Baby Bash, and The Commodores, among others. Smaller national bands and some local artists graced a smaller stage as well. Top notch entertainment was everywhere this year. Megan the Bubbleologist amazed with her bubbles, Mango and Dango added excitement with their music and dancing, the Cup Guy dazzled with his juggling skills, Off-Axis Stunt Shows were fantastic in three separate shows - BMX, trampoline, and diving. There was a magic show with Sean and Chanelle and their Model T car, live ostriches, a daily evening parade, STEM games, birds, and so much more to see. Already looking forward to next year's Ostrich Festival, held at Rawhide.

Rawhide hosts various events, including bull riding and concerts. For the Fever event, parking was free. For Ostrich Festival, pre-paid parking was $13 or $15 at the gate. You really have no other choice but to park in their lot given that it's basically out there on it's own in Chandler. It's about a 30-minute walk from Gila Casino. Rawhide is a "Western Town." While there isn't any historical context, Rawhide is made to look like an old Western town, dusty roads and saloon-style buildings included. The aesthetic is pretty cool. And it's spacious too. The logistics with the parking situation and getting your shoes dusty, not so much. Depending on the event, there might be vendors selling food, drinks, and more. While the vibe is cool, as the self-appointed king of events in Phoenix, I put this venue close to the end of the pecking order overall.
