The whimsical blend of Dr. Seuss and Willy Wonka made the whole experience feel magical. The children were fully engaged, and the interactive learning elements were impressive. The cast members were well developed and genuinely talented, and the staff was welcoming and enthusiastic from the moment we walked in. I can easily see Mr. Kringle's Inventionasium becoming one of Cleveland's cherished holiday traditions, much like Mr. Jingeling. I left grinning from ear to ear.

I was taken back to see her NO ENTRY WITHOUT A MASK sign on the front door. I briefly thought that perhaps the owner just had not taken the sign down from over a year ago. I entered the store and was just standing in front of the door looking around at all the beautiful items that were for sale. A woman come forward from the back of the store and stated we don't allow entry without a mask and proceeded to direct me to the little mask station she had set up to the right of the store. I was shocked and taken back! All the lies and propaganda came running through my gut again and I simply stated "I do not buy that narrative", and turned around and walked out unable to purchase the book set. She has a right to set restrictions as I have the right to not comply. If she is that ill or sensitive to germs perhaps she would be better staying home or having customers order online. My sense is that continuing these restrictions will cause her business to fold as there was not one other soul in the store. My experience was not positive and I will not recommend this particular establishment. Such a huge disappointment and shame. Good luck Paisley Monkey. You are very woke and may go broke.

Upon getting there though, it wasn't as organized or streamlined as I was expecting. The space is very small, cramped and low ceilinged. We went on a Sunday and it was packed with people. I had to ask about the class and wait an extra 6ish min for an instructor even though we arrived at the exact time of our registered class. I did enjoy the class but felt it was more of a demo, then you're on your own instead of step-by-step. Our instructor would jump in if you really needed help. For example, another worker just ended up finishing his bowl but he gave a brave start. It was fun and relaxing choosing paints and then painting but just wish there was more inspo provided or guidance. We were just left to our own devices but wish there could've been templates, example pictures or even stencils to help out less artistically inclined (I'm not speaking of myself, of course, but for kids or anyone who who could use some extra help). Checking out turned out to be an ordeal, and they should majorly redo this process to make it faster and more streamlined. My BF and I waited for more than 15min behind only one other person trying to pay. We also had our voucher gift printed out so not sure why it took the worker about 15min to enter it into the tablet and make it so awkward and complicated. The class came up to about $80 for the 2 of us so it's no chump change and is more expensive than some of the chains like Clayground, etc. They have a tip jar and ask for tips which feels in bad taste since there was virtually no service or even guidance besides the class portion. I can't imagine paying $40 for a clay piece here, painting and designing it myself, grabbing my own supplies, returning supplies, washing brushes, then paying a tip on top of that. One more annoying thing is that the worker told me to check their instagram page to see our pieces get pictured and I diligently reviewed every single post for the entire month and our pieces were never shown... The location is also pretty inconvenient from me. I would recommend a chain/franchised place with cleaner, less clutter, more space and better facilities.

The only downside was that I noticed a girl who seemed to be in training, and the manager didn't treat her very kindly--there were moments that felt unnecessarily harsh and condescending, which was a little uncomfortable to witness. Overall though, it's a charming studio with a lot to offer for both beginners and returning visitors. I'd definitely go back!

My family and I LOVE TLG Shaker Heights! We started Birds classes when my baby turned one, and she…read morehas truly grown by leaps and bounds. She is an only child and TLG allows her to have great socialization with different babies her age while they work on a variety of skills. I have truly seen my girl grow in confidence with how her body moves, as well as with interpersonal relationships like you wouldn't believe. She is so outgoing now, with both the other children as well as adults. Learning some of the activities in class has also helped guide us for some activities at home as well to encourage walking, balance, etc. The teachers/ coaches are all incredible with the children, they never force them to do anything and always work with the child's buy-in of whatever the activity is. The entire staff is so friendly and open, you really feel like you're a part of the family. My girl especially loves teacher Evan! The space is also large (and very clean!) with a wide variety of equipment for children to explore as well as for teaching different skills. We are so happy to have found TLG Shaker Heights!

Also, most of the vendors carried the same brand of bottled water which had additives in it. I wish I would've known we could bring in our own drinks because I would've brought a lot more water. Shade: there's some shaded areas but not all of it is shady, so you'll still need sunscreen. Staff: performers stay in character but food vendors are not in character. Adult admission is $25 + $5 parking, but I got a Groupon for $18. Overall, I still had a fun time and would recommend it.
