It was two days before they could install, however they gave us two free loaner window units which they came and set up for us in the meantime. When they came out for the install, we needed a small drywall repair which was anticipated and they had the repairman out the same day. They followed up the next day and one week later they came to the house for a follow up visit to ensure we were up and running optimally. This company was so impressive all their team members are awesome and helpful. Many years ago with my last AC install, the company that will remain nameless left a huge drywall hole and didn't patch it or have a recommendation for us. We also had issues with their company extended warranty which they stopped servicing. They sucked! Post sale support was terrible! After checking out the house, he recommended the right mini split heat pump size, the best placement options, and suggested a few upgrades to improve efficiency and save energy. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions without hesitation. The itemized quote was detailed and easy to understand. It included everything from the heat pump, installation (materials and electrical), attic insulation, to even a Wi-Fi adaptor so I could control the system through an app. June 6th installation was quick and smooth, and everything worked perfectly right away. The condenser unit location was inconspicuous and protected from the elements with adequate airflow access. They helped me set up the app and even built an attic enclosure over the drop down stairs. Pricing felt fair and reasonable, especially for the quality of work they delivered. During the summer peak when it was 110+ outside, I was able to keep my garage at whatever temperature I wanted, which makes it usable year round and is a game changer in Phoenix. Daniel was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and communicated really well throughout the whole process. I'd definitely recommend Preferred Air to anyone looking for an honest, skilled, and fairly priced HVAC company. I'll be using them again for any future HVAC needs.

As of…read moreright now I will use them again because their main plumber, Rob, is excellent, and also bc they have lots of mobile home experience. If you know of others that are great I'd like to know them. My bathroom needed a rebuild and they contracted the work to their own sister company, owned by the same owner. Turns out that sister company barely runs and they didn't have a real crew when they took my job. They sent 2 barely adult kids to rebuild my sub floor. One kid cut up all the flooring wood with curving edges in several small pieces so it would fit in his car to get it to me. I came home to find a jigsaw puzzle of a sub floor that bounced and sunk when I walked on it. When I complained they sent out someone else who was excellently skilled but expressed a lot of negativity about all the other workers and about the job and ended up having too much back pain to finish. No one showed up while i missed client appointments and lost money waiting for workers who were schedule. Finally they sent out 2 more guys who said they felt thrown into the middle of a job (as they were) that they didn't quite understand. I had to ask them to redo several things that looked awful (and Rob the plumber expressed to me his disappointment at their work even after that). The two guys admitted they'd never worked on a mobile home bathroom before. After 3 months with no bathroom and WEEKS when no work was being done, the bill for part of it was double what was quoted by the plumber. Katie, who handles the logistics, insisted this was their discounted rate and has stuck to it. So I am stuck with a high bill for a nightmare where only Rob the plumber was competent. Be sure you get all quotes in writing and maybe have them contract with someone else to do any rebuilding for you. Their plumber Rob will work his butt off for you and do a damn good job though.

Technician showed up within 2 hours and gave me an estimate that I considered very reasonable. Asked "when can you do the work", he said "Right Now". He removed the heater and returned it to Home Depot since it was still under warranty, was back within an hour with a new heater and completed the installation promptly. The technician, Gannon, was great. He handled the warranty exchange, did a top-notch installation (even corrected a gas line run that was not up to current code), left the work site perfectly clean, and the final bill was exactly the estimate. Vince diagnosed the issue, restored power to the home, and will perform replacement of the broken panel switch as soon as the part is available. A crisis was averted. There is a tremendous value to having an electrician available for an emergency. It is very difficult to find an electrician on short notice, especially on a weekend. If they are all booked up and have no time then say so, the lady who called to schedule actually told me she would call back if she can squeeze us in bc there was a cancellation and the technician should be able to come but then she must've changed her mind bc the dispatch was then cancelled and we got assigned to another company that was 17(!) days out to get my AC looked at. This is unprofessional behavior to reject an assignment just bc they think it's too far. This is Phoenix valley people, driving 30 minutes anywhere is standard and 45 min- 1 hour is super common to get somewhere. So if you're looking for a reliable company, this probably isn't it if they're too good to take jobs for a home warranty company, then stop contracting with AHS. Otherwise, take the assignments you're given like a professional HVAC company. All the good reviews below maybe true, but at this point I'll never know since they won't even work their assignment on my AC.
