From there on, I would hear NOTHING from him unless I initiated contact. Then the excuses started.. I dealt with this man for three and a half months, with him ghosting me the entire time. At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.

The cost also fit nicely into our budget. The installers were experienced and polite, the process took about four hours. It did take a few weeks for the news doors to be made to our specifications, which is the only negative thing about the experience, but as happy as my husband and I are with the doors, the wait was worthwhile. Caveat Emptor on 2 Added Fees to Quote!!!…read more After seeing their TV commercial, we called Window Source to bid on replacing windows. Their TV commercial says $6567 for ten (10) white, double hung windows, with NO mention of 2 added fees! They were 1 of 4 window bidders. Window Source sent us 2 quote options - both had a $150 old window disposal fee (even though we were taking care of that disposal) AND a "4% Convenience Fee" (we were to pay by check, not a credit card, so it's not a credit card fee). We then texted their estimator on the 2 fees- the estimator texted back, saying the owners explained to him that 4% fee was because they were a small business! Note: none of the other 3 bidders added on a disposal fee or a "Convenience Fee". We then directly called Window Source on the fees - the answers were vague. Bad way to do business! We've selected Window Tamers for the work (we'll review them about the work after it is completed).

We went from anderson windows from Lowes to united windows from lowes(came in broke) to American Craftsman window (aka plygem) from home depot. Plygem has a BBB rating F and Forbes rates them a 3 out of 5. At any time we're we notified of the change untill I did some research on the installed windows and received a small credit on the difference. Out repair went on for 3 months and the communications with the office manager was really poor. On 3 occasions we phoned her for status reports on parts, appts etc and she was going to call someone and get a call back. Not once did we receive a call back. The only communication we had was on july 3rd to schedule insallation on july 6th. All customer service is done by email, i was contesting the invoice because of the window price difference ( anderson window to plygem windows) a phone call to discuss the issues would have been appreciated.
