He goes silent for the last 2 weeks and then sends me a text saying he's in a legal battle and can no longer do my project. Totally unprofessional. Never pulled permits he said he was planning on taking care of. Never picked up the phone to call. Thank God he gave me my deposit back so I guess he gets one star for that.

He went out of his way to explain issues and did not try to upsell. In fact, he noted when he thought improvements were not needed despite it costing him potential work/money. His prices are very reasonable and I ended up saving a lot of money compared with quotes from other contractors. I had him look at a number of issues and he patiently discussed them with me. He's so generous and helpful that I sometimes felt like I was taking advantage of him. I've only had him out twice so far but he seems to be someone of outstanding integrity and character.

I had left a bad review on another platform (Facebook) and they negotiated to have me take it down after offering to do my attic insulation in exchange. My bathroom remodel experience was terrible. This was in 2019. Like many others here, Brian was awesome until contact was signed and check was cashed. It took months for them to event start the work. " I can give you your money back but you'll have to start all over with someone else, do you really want to do that?" I had a leak that was destroying my downstairs so he knew I could not wait. The work itself was low quality, no attention to details, left debris outside in my yard, made promises they did not keep, failed to install items as agreed. Months later I found out the fan exhaust was directed inside my attic. The end of it was face down on my insulation and creating mold on it from the condensation. This is when I posted a review. I was tired. After the review, they sent someone. The guy who came caulked some edges I showed were horrible. They added insulation to my attic and I agreed to take the bad review down. This weekend, I had some issues with the shower being clogged. I thought some draino would solve it but the sink downstairs started overflowing. So, I took the drain cover off to try and snake the drain. Tristate-the gift that keeps on giving...the shower drain was round with a square drain cover. There was something that looked like a leftover peace of plastic packaging used a shim to keep the drain in place. I am no professional plumber but I am pretty sure drains are supposed to be tight seals. I hope there is one water sipping into my walls but how can I event know that. This was the worst project ever and it was so much money. The most expensive. Relieved to know that their terrible work is for everyone. I am guessing all "good reviews" here were people who also agreed to have it changed after they did something.

We had John come out to finish our fence for our home and things were going well until the very end. Per the contract he was to install the gate and the lock we bought for it, and the full project per the contract had a third day of work put into it. He did only 2 days of work and we kept asking when he could come to finish the gate and install the lock- he kept confirming dates with us and then no-showing repeatedly. Since then, it's been pretty much a full month since we have heard from him. Would no longer recommend and absolutely would not work with him again, extremely disappointed it ended like this.

I called, the phone was answered on the 2nd ring and Henry, the owner was at my business within 2 hours to give me a free quote. It was evident that Henry was knowledgeable and a great fit for what I was looking for (guest bathroom flooring, new baseboards, new toilet, new vanity, new drywall, fresh paint). I was emailed a quote 4 hours later and scheduled to have to work done while my business was closed for vacation last week. I trusted Henry with keys to my business and let him know I'd be out of the country with family but he could come and go as he pleased as long as the work was finished by this past Monday. I was blown away that he texted me updates with photos of the work every day which left me at ease and had the work done much faster than expected. The work is beyond perfect in every way and my business was cleaner than when I left. In addition, he noticed a floor board in the front of my business that was coming up on one side.. he called it a tripping hazard and fixed it for free. He also adjusted my bathroom door as the door was rubbing when trying to shut and he wanted to make sure it was fixed. The best part of this experience was the pricing... I ended up paying just a tad more than the remaining 50% I was planning on paying the other contractor because HG was so reasonable. My house is old, dating back to the turn of the 20th century, and has all the problems and peculiarities associated with old houses. Hammertime did the work very professionally and competently. They were very careful to clean up at the end of every day, always came when they said they would, and were pleasant and informative throughout. The job was delivered as promised. When a minor leak caused by a bad solder joint in the shower diverter (performed by a subcontractor) caused damage to the plaster ceiling of the room below, Matt Hammer, owner of Hammertime, immediately took ownership of the problem, and brought in a plaster crew to make the repair, which they also did in a first class manner. I recommend Hammertime without reservation.
