I don't live in this area, but have a vacation property; when I experienced a significant "electrical emergency", I knew where to start - and that was on YELP. I read reviews and decide on who to trust, when I know nobody in the area. After scrolling through several pages of electrical contractors, I decided on Bulldog Electric, based on both their positive reviews, but also upon the scope of work that they perform (anyone can hang a light fixture). I called and received a VM (not a good sign) - so I called my "2nd choice" and booked an appointment for the following day (the power company had shut off the power to my dwelling). Soon after, Greg from Bulwark called me to discuss my problem; I liked what he had to say and invited him to come over, even though I had an appointment for the following day. Greg arrived as promised, and quickly determined the cause of my problem, and fixed it. He went a step further, and called PG&E and informed them that he had corrected the problem, and that they could turn my power back on (he took a photo of the repair and texted it to them). I also called PG&E and said the a LICENSED electrical contractor had completed the necessary repairs. Greg did NOT charge me an "emergency fee" and also issued an discount; I was completely happy with the fee charged. 15 minutes after he left he called me, saying that the fellow from PG&E had called him, stating an additional concern; Greg successfully negated his concern, with PG&E saying "I trust you", and stating that he would be out the same day, to turn my power back on (which he did). Because the power was back on, I was able to call the internet provider to restore my service, and they also came out the same day... so in less than 24 hours I had my power (and heat, refrigerator, water heater) restored, as well as my cable and internet. I have nothing but good things to say about Greg & Bulldog Electric; if you have ANY electrical concerns, I highly recommend that Greg is your FIRST call - he is knowledgeable, prompt and more than reasonable in his charges. read more

I have had work done by bulldog electric twice now. The first time we were having an issue with our breaker. They came out the same day despite it being last minute and changed it out so we wouldn't be without power. The next time they were able to get me in sooner than planned. They were able you remove an old built in stereo intercom system , eliminate an outlet , and add a three way switch. Lucky enough to get on his schedule, the team arrived promptly in the morning but unloaded gingerly so as to not wake residents who work nights. I needed a new larger outlet in my laundry room to accommodate a new electric dryer. I also needed a new outlet in a studio that is removed from the house. They started at 10 am and were done by 1pm. Went to plug in my outdoor Christmas lights and the plug didn't work. Called Bulldog Electric and asked how much it would cost. They said $175.00. Don't believe their quote over the phone. I should have requested the quote in writing when they arrived, but foolishly I didn't. Thought that the quote was high, but didn't know if it was the plug for sure or a worse problem. When they came out it turned out to be just the cheap 110 volt electrical outlet that needed to be replaced. They were here less than 15 minutes and replaced the electrical outlet plug. They charged me $225.00. Being 86 I had asked if they had a senior discount, and they said yes. It sure doesn't look like a discount to me. For 15 minutes labor and $5.00 part I feel that I was royally taken. As an elderly woman, I have found that attempts to take me are not uncommon. I definitely won't contact this business again if or when I have future electrical repair needs. read more
