Absolutely unacceptable experience at Kia Bulldog of Athens! $600 for new spark plugs in a 2013 Sorento with 85k miles!! My 84‑year‑old widowed mother went in for what she believed was a routine oil change--only because they mailed her a coupon claiming it was "time" for service. Her last oil change was done six months prior, and she had only driven 1,100 miles since then. Once she arrived, they told her she "needed" new spark plugs and quoted her $150. Instead, they charged her $600, including an astonishing $450 in labor for spark plugs on a 2013 Kia with only 85,000 miles. Folks, that's a 30-60 minute job you can do at home! She bought and serviced her vehicle with them for years, and this is how they treated her the moment she walked in alone. What should have been a simple visit turned into a $780 bill for an oil change and spark plugs, neither of which she needed. They should have turned her around and told her to come back in six months. This kind of behavior toward an elderly, loyal customer is deeply concerning and feels predatory. While I did not purchase my 2024 Telluride from Bulldog, they have earned 5 stars and my loyalty because of the service side. This includes Matt in Parts, Beau in Service, and one of the owners that I chatted with today, Mr. Hammond. I wanted to purchase a tow hitch for my new 2024 Telly and the dealership where I purchased was less than accommodating after the sales to the point I started shopping around for a dealership that would become my go-to for service. Some dealerships even told me it was not even available although I shared a letter from KIA US that outlined the details around tow hitches for 23/24 Tellurides. I found Bulldog Kia fit the bill with my first interaction with Matt, the Parts Manager. Matt is incredibly personable and engaging to the point he may be Bulldog's best salesperson. Beau in service was helpful and answered my all my questions prior to me even ordering the hitch from Matt. Once the tow hitch came in (and much faster than I expected) Christina called to schedule the install appointment. I arrived at my scheduled day and time and was quickly checked in and within a couple of hours, my Telluride had its hitch professional installed at a fair price. As I was waiting around, I had one gentleman ask me if I needed assistance because I was lurking in the check-in area watching the work on my hitch, I said no and we struck up a conversation only to find out it was James Hammond one of the owners working and interacting with customers. Having a local engaged owner who interacts with customers is impressive in this day and age so I applaud this owner and the entire Bulldog team in Athens. Now, my only thought is how do I turn back time so I could have purchased the Telluride from them in the first place? PS: I gotta give an extra shoutout to Matt for the nice surprise he left in my car when the work was done, you will see me wearing the KIA hat that he left in the Telly. Thx again Matt! read more

I brought my vehicle to Bulldog Kia for multiple recalls, including an engine compartment fire risk and other serious safety issues because my car shut off and had a sweet smell coming from an engine fire. I had no issues with my vehicle before hand. After the initial recalls were supposedly addressed, I was informed that my engine was seized and would need a complete replacement. The battery was disconnected upon the initial engine fire before being towed in, as is protocol for anyone with vehicle knowledge. I doubt they even noticed as it was never mentioned. Once that was done, I was told all diagnostics were clear and the car was ready. However, upon attempting to drive home, less than 15 miles later, it was immediately clear that the "engine" still had issues, and additional damage had been done -- including a broken hood latch while in their care. When I returned via additional towing, they claimed I needed a new alternator and fuel system repairs as well. After the alternator was replaced even though it was less than one year old, I was told the car had been driven 20 miles to ensure it was ready. In reality this was an outright lie. I drove it less than half a mile from the Bulldog Kia dealership before the same issues recurred, leaving me stranded on Atlanta highway and putting my life at risk. Carfax shows where the engine had been previously replaced due to a major recall a few years ago, repaired at Carriage Kia, acknowledged earlier by Bulldog Kia, yet they acted as if they had no knowledge of this after the fact, claiming the vehicle had over 200,000 miles, it's year model etc as to why all of these problems occurred as an excuse for their ill management or service. I provided paperwork as proof but was given no acknowledgement. I barely made it back to the dealership after horrific attempts, Thank God my children weren't in the car. My service advisor, Ben Howell, showed no concern for my safety, no empathy, frequently failed to return calls during this process, and even changed his story multiple times about how far the car had been driven today. First quoted "20 miles" then "15-20 miles" then "at least 10 miles"-- despite admitting he never personally drove it and when asked for the name and phone number of the technician who supposedly drove my car, he provided no information. Ben Howell also later, after prolonging my deep concern, refused to personally test drive my vehicle on the highway to see for himself what the issue felt like while driving to help with the diagnosis. He claimed his "shift was over". A mother and female was assured their vehicle is safe but a young man would not test drive it himself. To make matters worse, Bulldog Kia provided no rental vehicle for my entire shop time (2 weeks) , no towing reimbursement fees (3 and now soon to be 4) , and offered no accountability for the repeated safety hazards and poor service. I was charged additional fees throughout this process and left to deal with ongoing issues they claimed were resolved. I Strongly advise against purchasing or servicing your vehicle at Bulldog Kia. The risk of lives, family's, children is tremendous! They have no fear of lawsuits as according to Ben Howell "Bulldog Kia deals with these all the time". Another customer was in the service area as well asking "what did they messed up on my car too?" They put his vehicle in the old Georgia square mall parking lot due to lack of space on site. My last 3 scheduled oil changes have taken 3-3.5 hours. You can receive coupons for their oil changes but you are required to lie on their survey that they have excellent service. You do not receive a coupon unless you answer exactly the way they say, with a perfect customer service rating. This is not the first time we've bought a car from Bulldog Kia, but it will be the last. We've had Kia's a good 8+ years. The first one we bought in Gainesville at that Kia dealership. When it was time to trade that one in, my husband went to Bulldog and had a great experience. That was about 6 or so years ago. The process was smooth and didn't have any issues. Then 2 years ago we go to find my son a used car and we were over in Gainesville and after looking at all the used car lots and no one wanting to help us we ended up going to the Kia dealership there and got a "2-fer". We got a great deal on a car for him and we got a new car as well. This brings us to the present day. My husband decided it was time to trade in our Sorento. I talked him into getting a Sportage this time. Now granted I know there is a shortage of cars, and we were willing to wait. The one we were looking at got sold out from under us. Fine, it really wasn't the color my husband wanted. So after talking about it we were ready to walk away. Our current car was fine, my husband just wanted a new one. The salesman kept listing off inventory of cars that were shipping to the lot. The one we wanted was on that list but it was going to be 2 weeks. No problem. My husband put a down payment on that car to make sure it wasn't sold before we picked it up. The day comes to pick up the car and I hear nothing from the salesman. BUT before my husband left work early to pick me up to go over there I decided to call and check to see if the car made it in. No, it hadn't. Do I blame the salesman for this? NO! Do I blame the dealership for this? NO! I get they have no control over who ships cars and when. What I did get upset about was that NO ONE told us that the car didn't ship. We would have made a trip to the dealership and our car wouldn't have been there. When I finally talked to the salesman he told us another week. Well, guess what, that week passed and it was pushed out another 2 weeks. This time I had my husband call and sure enough, the car was still not there. But they ended up having a black one with the same package. So we got that one. We were even talked into the maintenance package which would give us so many oil changes for so long. This is the reason why I decided to write this review. My husband called them up to get that oil change and they can't get him in for another month! That doesn't help the fact that we need one now. So he's going to go tomorrow and pay for an oil change at another company so we are taking care of the car. OH! And let's not forget about the salesman making me sign a paper that said I would give him a good review on the survey that gets sent out. WHAT?!?!? AND he gave me all the answers to the questions he wanted me to put down. That didn't happen. He made no effort to call us and let us know the car didn't come in, why would I leave him a good review? I am an adult and know how to fill out surveys, the audacity he had in thinking I was going to give him a good survey was just beyond belief. He knew we were already mad. I don't mind waiting a long time or if things don't go as planned but wow, my experience with Bulldog Kia went beyond terrible. Although I am a relatively healthy and medium aged adult, I take COVID-19 very seriously because I don't know what an infection could do to myself or my family. I went to Bulldog Kia on 8/24/20 to find zero employees in masks and about 20% of the customers wearing them. While it is frustrating for customers to not wear masks, it is unacceptable for a business that interacts with customers to blatantly ignore the CDC recommendations to wear a face covering any time you are around others. I was so concerned for my own safety during this visit to Bulldog Kia and had extreme anxiety the whole time. So, I wrote a Google business review saying just that - this business is not observing mask recommendations and I wish I could leave with my car ASAP. I also wrote a mask review on an Athens Facebook Mask score group. The business saw my review while I was waiting for my car and near the end of my visit the masks appeared on the faces of service technicians and sales people. I had a feeling they'd seen the review because it seemed like a quick turnaround. Well, job done, right? No. This business cannot take constructive criticism that could save a human life. Instead, the customer care manager (ironic title given what I'll tell you) found the mask review on Facebook and proceeded to claim I was making the whole thing up and that everyone had on masks, they reviewed the video. She listed all of the safety procedures they're taking - none of which I experienced- but I did see the signs telling customers they're taking precautions. Instead of "the customer is always right" Bulldog Kia took to bullying online and making excuses for their actions. If I was so wrong about this situation, why did everyone that worked there start wearing masks 2 hours into my visit? I will stay far away from Bulldog Kia in the future and I suggest you do too. I bought a used Kia Cadenza from Bulldog Kia 14 months ago and since March 4th 2020 I cannot drive the car. Bulldog Kia told me to bring the car down and they would look at it. Really; I can't unlock the car and you want me to bring it down? I took a day of unpaid leave from work to go to Bulldog Kia in Athens and they said the battery in the key fob was dead. After Bulldog Kia said they fixed the key fob, today the car told me "Get SmartKey". Now it is going to be another unpaid leave from work and still, since March 5th I have been unable to use the car I bought from Bulldog Kia 14 months ago and they can't fix it so it will start and drive. My boyfriend and I went out looking for a car with three seats for our combined family. We stopped at the Kia dealer and checked out the Telluride. The sales person Charles was very nice. But that's about all. Kia had one Telluride new in stock. With fake leather seats. Unfortunately the one they had they want over $5,000 MORE for it than a manufacturer selling price of $32k. They wanted $38. ( Yep and that's why they still have it ). The excuse I was given was well.... it's a popular car so we can charge more for it. Not. So we continued to look. We really wanted a Chrysler Pacifica due to the room and the 3rd Rowe seating but no new ones were available at the Chrysler dealership. Kia had a 2019 Pacifica limited edition loaded very nice, very clean one but they were very, very expensive. 10k less than new with 42k miles on it with a ridiculous interest rate of 18.99% and we had to put $16,000 DOWN. THAT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. so we decided to leave. On the way home we seen the Nissan of Athens dealer on Atlanta highway so we went to the Nissan dealer and was shown a Chrysler Pacifica touring a 2019. Mint, clean. Great price. They gave us the car max information.. without asking for it. 1 small fender hit which was repaired. We test drove it. They ran our credit... And we purchased it. A Chrysler Pacifica touring for $24,000k with 42k miles and we only put $2,000 down which was our tag and title . We got the best interest rate a 7.99% and drove it home. We couldn't believe what Kia wanted. Ridiculous. Sorry but I would never recommend Kia dealership in Athens. At all. My recommendation for anybody who's looking for any kind of vehicle new or used go to the Nissan dealership in Athens on Atlanta highway right behind the waffle House. I just received the first service of my 2019 Stinger GT1 at Bulldog Kia, the purchasing dealership. My car has just over 4300 miles on it, which is practically brand new. However, I have two out of town trips planned for the following weekends, so I figured now would be a good time to get new oil. I was told that new car purchases from this dealership include two service visits, so there is even more reason to make a trip. Note that I am coming from about 55 miles away, which works to about 3 hours round trip out of my way. I literally pass 2 other dealerships on my way to this one, as well as having others within a closer distance. I arrived for my appointment and met with the shop manager, Justin. I made sure to mention a few important questions before I left my keys: What type of oil are you going to use? I requested a full synthetic. Do you wash the car? If it's not touch-less, I don't want it. I need the driver tech camera sensor re-calibrated because the dealership closest to me that replaced my faulty factory sensor, somehow disengaged the Automatic High Beam Assist feature. No, problem - he tells me it's a quick settings correction with a tablet. I also mentioned the cover panel over the oil plug and my caution about over tightening the plastic oil cartridge cap. He assures me that they are aware. After stressing those few points, I was told it would be about an hour, which is standard. I was looking to get some lunch instead of hanging out in the show room; Justin and Fiona were kind to set up an Uber service to and from the nearby Chick-fil-a. After I get back to the dealership, my expectations take a turn for the worst: The guy checking me out at the counter, Colin, tells me that they rotated my tires, which wasn't mentioned as included on arrival. Just to double check, I asked if they had done a side-side rotation only. Cue dumbfounded looks all around. He goes to confirm with the "new guy" (of course) who did my service and wouldn't you know it, he did a standard rotation. They have to swap the 225s back up front, and put the 255s back on the rear like it comes from the factory. The tech later confesses to me that this was his first Stinger, but that he "took extra care of it." (That statement is bullshit) Strike 1. When checking out I also ask to confirm that the tech added the full synthetic oil that I requested. Cue more dumbfounded gaze. Colin checks with the tech again - nope - synthetic blend. Sigh. Strike 2. Now my "Oh, s**t. What kind of dummies did I just give my brand new car to?" alarm starts going haywire. So after saying my goodbyes and assuring myself that the wheels are in the right locations. I get home and double check the oil level. To my complete non-surprise it is showing well above full on the dipstick. Just an FYI, as it's stated in the manual, overfilling the engine oil can cause issues. WTF. Strike 3. Colin also assures me that the High Beam Assist feature is now working correctly again after some settings were adjusted on the shop tablet. I just sat in my dark garage, turned on the high beams, and the "auto" icon still does not show. Unless the car needs to be on and moving - it's also not fixed. OUT! So today, very dissatisfied with the level of service, I go to remedy the idiocy. I drained the oil, re-checked all the fittings/screws/covers/etc. To no one's shock, the "new guy" tech cross threaded three of the bolts that hold on the lower panel covering the oil pan. I had to re-tap and re-cut the holes and bolts so that they were smooth again. After draining and refilling the oil, I found that it had been overfilled by about one quart. I am most shocked with this error as it is known to be bad for an engine, especially with turbos. This warning is stated clearly in the owner's manual (along with how much oil to use). You may also want to check your oil supply, because what I drained from the car left visible amounts of dirt and sediment in a freshly wiped pan. I will have to continue to live without the HBA (High Beam Assist) for a little while longer as I am not keen on visiting a dealer, especially this one, again any time soon. In closing, Bulldog Kia can keep their second oil change. I would not recommend this service department for anyone expecting knowledgeable maintenance on a Stinger. Although polite, the team doesn't seem to have a good communication plan within the shop (or maybe they just don't give AF) and the tech's clearly have no idea (or training) of the nuances of this higher caliber model. KIA, especially the sales staff, love to talk a big game about how you're stealing away people from BMW and Audi. No you're not. BMW and Audi drivers expect to get the benefit of competent service, quality, and professionalism. Oh - and thank goodness that you don't wash cars anymore. I was told this was the case apparently because the runoff was going directly into the storm drains. At least you didn't get the opportunity to f**k that up. read more

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BULLDOG KIA AGAIN! I purchased my Kia Soul from Bulldog Kia 2 years ago and now I am having issues with oil consumption at 75,000 miles. Bulldog Kia is not standing behind the warranty. They have pushed it off as GMA, the company they use for the warranty, and that they refuse to replace my motor for oil consumption. However, if the motor blows then they will replace it. I purchased my car from BULLDOG KIA, not GMA. It is not me who chose to have a warranty company that will not cover the warranty. I HOLD BULLDOG KIA RESPONSIBLE! I am told that because of the oil consumption I now have a blown piston! It will cost 7-8K to fix (for a small block replacement) I paid 16K for the car! If the warranty company will not pay for the replaced engine then the owner, David Kernall, of Bulldog Kia should! They have made money off of my purchase and now they are NOT standing behind the product they sold me! I will never use Bulldog Kia again. This is my 3rd Kia and I have never had a major issue like this that was not taken care of. That's what a warranty is for! I have always taken care of my car and I have always made sure the required oil changes and maintenance are done as specified. One of the worst experiences I've had with a dealership so far. Went online and filled out the pre-approval form on their web-site for their "Big Sales Event" (which is another joke, but we'll get to that in a minute). I got a call from some guy named Mike who after a few phone calls told me that I was "approved" and that I could head down there to look at their selection. I SPECIFICALLY asked him if there was a down-payment and was told "No, that's not something that we'd require, you are good to go!" I told him I would go ahead and leave work early and head down there, as I really needed to get something done today. I leave work 2 hours early, I drive an hour and a half to get there. I pull in, get out, ask for the gentleman Mike referred me to, Mr. Hammond. The sales guy, Chris Wright says "Well, Mr. Hammond is busy, so he'll just tell me to help you. So what can I do for you." I tell him that I spoke with Mike at the office, and that he told me that I was pre-approved, no down payment required, blah blah blah. Chris tells me that he'll have to pull that up in the system. He goes and gets his laptop, then he doesn't know how to log in, so he goes and finds someone who can tell him the wi-fi password, and then he proceeds to ask me the same questions that I already filled out on their "pre-approval" form. I give it all to him and then he says "well, it says here that you were told that you have to have a co-signer..." And I explain, that no, Mike called and asked me if I had one, and I said no, but they pulled my credit file from the other bureau and they said it looked good and they could do it no problems. Chris tells me that Mike is just the "internet guy" and that he "doesn't always know what's really going on with finance". He says he's going to go ask someone about something a couple of times, and both times comes back trying to bully me into a down payment or a co-signer. I tell him no, and leave. I call and e-mail Mike the next morning. Explain what happened, what I was interested in, blah blah blah. He apologizes for the bad experience and says he'll go ahead and send the information over to finance and see what they will do. He finally calls back at 3:00 that afternoon and tells me that he can't get me approved at all. REALLY!!?! You went from "you're pre-approved 0 down!!" to "screw you, we won't finance you at all!" overnight. I've wasted at least $50 between leaving early and driving down there and back, not to mention several HOURS of my life dealing with these scum. And other dealerships have approved me, no problem, but suddenly Bulldog Kia can't. It's all just a big bait and switch. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you on the lot. Once they have you there they will tell you that someone screwed up, they can't do that, and try to bully you into handing them a huge downpayment or getting a co-signer. ADDITIONALLY, and possibly even MORE IMPORTANTLY: Their cars are WAAAAAY over priced. They are anywhere from $2000-$3000 ABOVE what Kelley Blue Book list them at. So I would highly, highly recommend avoiding this dealer at all costs. But if for some reason you do decide to buy your car there CHECK YOUR PRICES AND YOUR CARFAX!!!! Bought Kia K900 Certified Pre-Owned 164 -inspection on 09/27/19. So much for the inspection. Nothing but problems. Both Headlight assemblies had to be replaced. Has bad valve stems on both rear tires. Tire low tire pressure light is on. Can't put air in them. A rear tire had a bubble on the side wall and will have to be replaced before the valve stem can be replaced. The vehicle has been in the shop for 10 days so far and need more shop time waiting on ordered parts that will be in for a week or more for that repair. They have too shop out the repairs to another dealer they don't have a Tech that can work on it or something to that effect. Bulldog Kia assisted with a purchase of a car I was arranging for my sister who had totaled her car and was in the hospital. They were having a large sale and in fact that's how I ended up going with Kia. They were open on Sunday when every other dealer on car row was closed. Things I liked: -Cars had prices clearly marked. -Sales staff was friendly and interested in my needs. -Personal sales attention: Justin, the sales rep, was able to bring the paperwork to the hospital to close the deal and get my sister's signature. -Home delivery - Justin and another sales rep, followed me home to deliver the vehicle because I was managing the sale on my own. -Financing staff offered clear details about finance options. Things that need improvement: -Not enough sales staff. I spent approximately half my time at the dealership waiting on one thing or another. -Long wait time for hand over. On the day of the handover, I waited some 5 hours as detailed were worked out and delivery set. Luckily my flight home was very late, because I was forced to leave Athens 2 hours later than I had planned to head to the airport - you know how unpredictable Atlanta traffic can be... -No female sales reps. No complaints about the way Justin treated me as a female customer but frankly I would prefer to do business with a woman. You can imagine how it may feel that the sales staff might be abusing your lack of experience in car purchasing as a woman - not that women can't rip you off too, but one likes to cling to the chance you might be treated fairly at a car dealership. I would feel better if there were at least some female sales reps. Overall, positive purchasing experience. Not sure the price was as lean as one might hope but they did provide the personal touch I needed in making a deal under the especially awkward situation. read more

I am absolutely furious with the way Bulldog Kia has treated me as a customer. I brought my car in to be serviced, and they told me it would be about 2 weeks until it would be ready. I was okay with that and told them to let me know when I should come pick it up. A little bit more than 2 weeks goes by, and I have to call them to check up on my car. Then, they said they were still waiting on some parts to be delivered. ANOTHER 2 WEEKS GOES BY, and they still haven't felt the need to contact me AT ALL about my car. Finally, I called them again and they told me it would be another 2 weeks. I am beyond frustrated with their lack of communication and treatment of their customers. I will never be going back to Bulldog Kia ever again. They will act like you are a priority to them, and then just do the exact opposite. Totally unexceptable. read more

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had. I bought a used car out right they had it for two days said it would be cleaned an serviced. When i went to pick it up it had a cigarette butt laying on the floor in front and cookie crumbs in the back also they left gas tank so low check engine light was on an told me deal with it. I got home stuck my hand under driver side n there was a broken blood veil. I emailed gm to let him know of the problems i encountered he didn't seem to care one bit an instead of apologizing he defended the wrong his employees did. In 2015 my parents bought me a 2013 Kia Soul - which I absolutely love! The salesmen, Brandon I believe, was great. He made sure I was happy with every car we looked at. But the service department is lacking, big time. The car does seem to have a lot more "technical" issues lately, for instance, about 12 months ago Bulldog Kia had to replace the radio controls on my steering wheel because they stopped working correctly. Well now my cruise control controls don't work either and my usb port - that I have never used - isn't working. I took my car to get an alignment done about 6 months ago and they came back and told me they had to do a more extensive alignment because it was so messed up, they never came and got my approval and I got charge an fee for them to update my information - I can't remember the exact name of the charge. And to make matters worse, once I got home I was looking at my car - which I already had damage to the back end, I am aware of that - I noticed a new scratch and paint missing. And they didn't even tell me that they hit something. So, I will not be using the Bulldog Kia for anymore repairs or service on my car... read more

I am very upset about this place. I purchased a car last year from here. Biggest mistake of my life. I have had so many issues first after just 4 months the car started having issues. They kept the car for 2 weeks then they returned it and I started having more issues. My mom warned me not to buy it but it was so nice. The. After about 6 months I had to replace all the tires. I come here for my oil change and the service is horrible they have you waiting all day and they try to add extra things. I wish I had of kept my Kia that I purchased through Toyota. At least they had great service and never mad me feel this way. My car had a lot of issues when I bought it and they hid it, they also got upset every timeI brought it to them to look at. I would never buy a used or new car here again. I wish I never would have came here!!!! Please don't waste your time or money cause they don't care about you car they just want your money!!!!! read more

My wife and went to purchase a 2012 certified pre-owned Sorento SX(10k miles)on December 19, 2013. We couldn't get the deal done on Friday. However, on Saturday the 20th we got a phone call with some changes and we were able to come to an agreement. We knew after the test drive Friday the sound system needed repair and the tire pressure light was on. We were told the parts were on order for the radio and the tire light was probably just low pressure. During the purchase the salesperson Chris was very helpful and the overall purchase experience was good. That was the end of the good experience. I guess I should have known where we were headed when I got home to see the new car. I had to work on the 20th so my wife had to pick it up by herself. Much to my chagrin when I arrived home I got in the car and noticed not only was the radio not repaired, the tire light was still on but now the gas light was on. My wife informed me the radio parts didn't come in and that the tire light was not addressed and to my utter disbelief they did not send her home with a full tank of gas! I know it's not required but I have never paid that much for a car when the dealer didn't fill the tank up. While I was at the gas station I checked the tire pressure and filled the tires(that car owner 2, Bulldog Kia 0). ... Moving forward to our trip to NC on 12.26. During the trip their was a rattling that started. When I pulled over I found the black trim under the nose of the car had come loose on the driver side by the tire and rubbed itself against the tire creating the rattling. When I investigated a little more I noticed that of the 6 holes that hold the nose trim on there were only two bolts in place! To bring it all together today I go in to the service dept today top get the original sound system repair done with an open mind and a hopeful heart. I explain to the service dept adviser(nice young man) the problem with the sound system and the newly discovered problems with the usb port(not working) and the nose trim that was loose and I also mentioned the oversight of the gas when we took the car.I left the car and returned around 5:45 at which time I was told the sound system was repaired, the gas was just an unfortunate situation and then it gets good... He told me it looked like to them I hit something to damage the trim even though there is no damage of any where except for where the trim rubbed the tire(IT'S A MIRACLE, LOCALIZED DAMAGE IN A WHEEL WELL!!!) Then for a finale- The USB port I was informed really doesn't work it's just a sales tool by KIA to draw people in and that it will work if I'm willing to buy the $30 cord from KIA. When I explained that I had KIA's before as rentals and the USB port worked fine with a standard cord in multiple vehicles he didn't know what to tell me. In closing, I now have to take it to a different dealer and try and get the repairs done to the USB and hope to appeal to their good nature since I didn't buy the vehicle from them and they don't know the condition the vehicle was in. I am going to send this to the GM at Bulldog KIA and I will post my results here. As an aside- We LOVE the car, it's great but right now I've got a very bad taste in my mouth over this dealers unwillingness to do the right thing. Worst car buying experience I have ever had. Extreme waste of time. After wasting 3 hours here at Bulldog Kia, after the price we negotiated was not the price that ended up on the sales order (jacked up $7,000 from original price discussed) my husband and I left and went to Hyundai of Athens down the street and bought a car there instead. My boss had a similar experience with Kia as well and had warned me as she and her husband had picked out a vehicle, agreed on the price, and arranged for financing through their local bank. It was when they arrived at Kia to pick up the car that they realized the price they had agreed upon was not what they sent over to the bank to be financed. In fact it was over $5,500 more. Their explanation was fees. Seriously $5,500 worth of fees on a car that only costs $11,000 to begin with... I guess I should have listened to them. Next time I am looking for a new car, if a Kia is something I am interested in buying, I will drive to Atlanta instead. Anything to avoid dealing with these people at Bulldog Kia. read more
