They will tell you they have identified the problem with your car and how to solve it, yet after they have implemented their solution they will inform you it did not solve the problem but they will still charge you for it. You still need your car repaired so now you are trapped, next they will pacify you by assuring you this time they have definitely identified the problem and how to solve it, so you give them the go ahead and cross your fingers. A few days later you will receive another call informing you their new solution did not solve the problem either but they will still charge you for that too. They will drag this process out for weeks and squeeze you for 5 to 10 times the amount of their original quote. I am not the only person to have this experience with Japanese Motor Works, they are notorious for it, ask around and see for yourself. You would think they would notice the lack of repeat customers and see it as a sign they might not be doing good business. Charging people for something that does not work should be illegal. What a pathetic way to make a living.

They called two days early (Tuesday) to say the car was ready for pickup, and the total bill was approximately $1100. They said the cost was lower because the job had gone much better/easier than expected. I'm over 60, and I don't recall ever having a repair cost so much less than the estimate. They could easily have parked my car in their parking lot until Thursday (or better yet Friday) and charged a little over the estimate- but they didn't. Why not? I think it's because they are honest. And my car is running great, I definitely recommend CCOR. Other reviewers complain about having to wait because CCOR was booked up; my experience is a crappy mechanic can work on your car today.

As I had already rearranged my entire schedule for the day, I could not wait the anticipated 3 hours before they would even start on my vehicle. I paid almost $6,000 for five sets of tires on my work vehicles, and they can't even make an appointment, or tell me the truth about what time they open? Flat out lied to me, and completely failed to take care of a long time loyal customer who spends big money with them. They will no longer be doing my fleet management of any kind!
