This place was super packed this afternoon when we visited and the single employee working was definitely having a busy day, but she was banging out orders fast and her effort was greatly appreciated. The menu here has maybe ten or so fully loaded hot dogs to try and I settled on going with "The Luxurious Dog" which was a pork wiener, mushrooms, truffle mayo, and roasted nuts on top for an extra little crunch. This hot dog was absolutely delicious and if I didn't have to fit 50 more places in me in my 3 days here, I probably would have ordered another. Overall, Bulls and Dogs is a fantastic choice for lunch if you are at Foodhallen and a definite recommendation from me. Although I may not return during this trip, I may have to in the future

So I have this addiction that Yelp helps to enable. I love hot dogs. Whenever I travel somewhere…read more- I make it a point to look for hot dogs. While in Amsterdam on business, I was able to find Bulls and Dogs near my hotel. Upon arrival, I found that this place is in a food hall. As I searched for Bulls and Dogs, my interest was piqued with other options. I saw noodles, chicken, sushi, desserts, and more. I was on a mission, though. I finally located the local hot dog for which I made the trip. I ordered the classic dog. At first glance, the dog was like the passenger side mirror on a car. Objects are closer than they appear. My dog was a pork dog with a pretzel bun. They default to onion crisps and ketchup (don't revoke my hot dog card - I did not in any way shape or form ask for ketchup -- I know in Chicago I would get dis-barred.) The dog itself was good - it came out hot and was made to order. Maybe I am too instilled in my religious hot dog beliefs - I really couldn't get past the ketchup. While it was good, it did not wow me. I didn't save room for a different dog so I will have to come back and try other options. Overall, solid pick with this place.

For a fast, affordable lunch while you're hangin' around the Museum Quarter, there's Lunch Kiosk…read more In between museum-hopping I needed a quick snack and found Lunch Kiosk while I was walking around, as it's located right in the center of all the museums. Lunch Kiosk is an outdoor stand where you order at the counter and take a seat at one of the outdoor tables nearby. Based off the menu, Lunch Kiosk seemed to be known for their various hot dogs with different toppings, so I ordered a hot dog with sauerkraut and fried onion. I think I would've liked the hot dog better had it been more simplified, as two of the elements of the hot dog were overbearing. The bun of the hot dog had a similar texture to a baguette, so it was super thick and hard to take a bite with the hot dog, which was unfortunate because the star of the meal was actually quite good. The hot dog tasted more like a kielbasa, so it had great, smoky flavor and was a thick sausage. But you can't taste much of it when the bun that's holding it is so much. Same with the fried onion. The fried onion should've really been more of a garnish, just to add some crunch with the finishing bite. But it was heavily topped on, so distracted from the sausage. I ended up tearing off most of the bread, to enjoy what I liked most about it - the sausage and sauerkraut. it's great that Lunch Kiosk is available for museum patrons and visitors of the area, especially when you have a full day of sightseeing in between the many museums. It offers food that's quick and cheap; but with that said, I find that more than anything Lunch Kiosk is convenient above anything else.
