The quote included removal and disposal of all the old fencing and even took a small section that my neighbor removed from his yard. Nivaldo and his two workers were very mindful and left the yard a walkways cleaner than when they started. The cost was right in line with what I expected. After he left, I texted him my name, address and email address. Afterwards, Allstate disappeared. The texts which I sent on Mon., 8/3 and Wed., 8/5 looking for the promised quote have gone unanswered (today is Friday, 8/8). Allstate may or may not do good quality fencing work, but in my case at least their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I encountered Travis, and when I tell you, his professionalism and customer service was above and beyond. Ryan was my sales person whom we hit it off instantly I explained to him that I had other vendors come. I wasn't looking to beat around the bush. This was my budget and from there the contract was signed. Ryan quoted me on the spot, took the necessary measurements and pictures And beat all competitors pricing. The installers Jimmy and Anthony came in the morning and was done before 1 o'clock in the afternoon. My house was clean as though they weren't even there in and out with no hassle and no mess. They were super friendly professional, and did an amazing job I couldn't recommend a better window company and I'm so glad I went with Markeys. I feel an instant difference on so many levels with the new windows. No more outside sounds no more bugs and my heat actually stays in the house no drafts no breezes. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

They have old school customer service, which is why I love supporting local/small businesses. I don't like those 1-800 numbers because they don't answer questions, give quotes and you don't know who is coming. They unlocked my door. After being passed through 4 different phone numbers and each time a different person (I never spoke to the same person twice), when the installer came to the door for the installation they demanded literally more than 2x the telephone quote and they demanded it in cash, before they did anything (They had never mentioned cash on the phone). This was at the front door of the house. When I refused, they demanded a $25 fee in cash for showing up. (see my review on South Brook Locksmith for more details on the attempted scam) I called Frank back at Armour Lock as they had given me a little bit higher initial quote, but they were very honest, professional and upfront. As the other reviewer notes, they charge reasonable prices. They were on time and everything went as promised. No surprises. Not one. And they took a check, as they said they would on the phone. A few months later, I was having a problem with the same lock and Armour came (again on time) and fixed it as part of their warranty on the work they do, for no charge. Armour Lock and their affiliates are a completely upstanding and professional business. I would recommend them to anyone.
