Shoutout to our local community heroes here at this venue! I really appreciate the layout. A nice shop with knowledgeable staff and a nice variety of products. There 's lots of paper target configurations to choose from. There's cleaning supplies, ammo holders, boxes of ammunition, and even water bottles for sale. You can't bring any liquids in the range for safety reasons, preventing slip and falls. Don't forget to empty your firearms before you come in because you will be added to the bucket of shame. Safety FIRST! The range is nice for an indoor environment. Lots of fans to help ventilation of gun smoke. You will need to be aware some gun residue will be in your nose later! There's a fair amount of lanes and there are some busier times than others. They do offer training, memberships, and backgrounds checks for purchasing firearms. The staff is very cool, calm, and professional. I like that there's a good decorum and respect in the atmosphere. I have not experienced any braggadocio or false bravado nor Beavis and Butt-Head. Respect to the team here! Good range time, hearing and eye protection available, and quality products. We were able to shoot both rifle and pistol. They have clean restrooms as well... one for women and one for men. read more

This was my second time shooting here and John's 5th time. We went around the area checking out gun shops and ranges a couple months ago and really liked the staff here. The range gets a little warm, I don't remember that from the first time shooting- so I wonder if their AC was just struggling today. I don't have a lot of experience shooting handguns and that's why John wanted me to practice with today. I have some experience shooting rifle and shotgun- shooting clays, but handguns... So today we went through a couple boxes of ammo, banging out shots. We had 2 guns with us and I learned that I prefer a bigger grip. I shoot more accurate with dad's gun than with our smaller grip one. I had one real startling shot- but it still hit cardboard. Scared me! At least I didn't hit the ceiling! lol- which is riddled with bullet holes. John says I shot better than him- I am not sure, because he fills the space you stand to shoot in and I couldn't see him shooting the target. The range was very busy today and a lot of couples were shooting. Fair prices and great staff made us a return customer. I am sure we will be back to shoot more soon. read more

Although, he did try to joke with some people and convey an easy going demeanor he was also accusatory and belittling to others. I'd put this man in the back sweeping the floor. Drinking before going to a shooting range might have been a bad idea. I didn't do it. But it's one of the many thoughts that occurs while you wait. Which only makes me think I should had had a drink so that I wasn't thinking so much. Too much time in the country has me worrisome over indoor ranges. Hair pulled pack, shoe laces tied tight, noise cancelling headphones on. First time I walked in was sometime in late August. Hunting season! So a few AR pistols and rifles. The place was just too packed to do much of anything. Just felt like I walked into a guys club. I head back sometime after my birthday. Surprise - gun range filled with women just a few weeks before Valentine's Day? This place isn't as friendly as others I've found in Jacksonville. Professionals at the couter are great but I find more novice shooters in the range. Good that they know they need to practice but I didn't feel there was enough staff presence to correct bad habits. For example, this Nicki Minji titty chick in a black tank is trying to work a Tomb Raider vibe. Whatever! To each their own. Until Ms. Tomb Raider's arm bounces straight up with her gun ready to fire because a shell casing has landed on her boob. Scared the ish out of me! I'm just more use to open ranges in the country. Duval seems to pack heavy and the close confinement just isn't my vibe. This is a good range just wish people took the safety training courses offered. Again, to each their own. I went to Bullseye gun range today, and met B Jay who gave me excellent customer service. I have never shot a gun let alone have gone to a gun range. I have had my gun for a year and was not able to get anyone to go with me. He was very patient with me and walked through the steps and also mentioned the class they have that would help me reach a level of comfortability. They do not rent guns. It is not updated on their website. You will not know until you get there. Find something else if you need to rent.

Range is hot and not well ventilated, but is pretty good. Overpriced. The staff likes to think they know what they're talking about, but are more like barbershop know-it-alls with too much testosterone: especially "Napoleon" (the "little bald man"). It's one thing to be safe and demand safety (Gateway does this, and errs on the heavy-handed side with "non-members"--but they're just on the annoying side of the line of safe and reasonable expectations). The Bullseye staff (both guys) talk down to everyone and come off as jerks (note: though I'm white, I've noticed they're even worse if you're young or a minority, but VERY HELPFUL if you're female). Shooters and Gun Gallery have more knowledgeable staff and much better prices; the latter has a better range and better attitude. Frankly, I don't know how the gun store stays in business with the high prices and misinformed staff; the gun-range is centrally located, and with only 2 other ranges in town (one that closes between 5-6pm), it's no surprise that they can keep business even when they're a$$hats. For $17 + other fees, I'll take my business elsewhere except on a few occasions when I'm in a hurry. read more

I've been here 2x. First time, was the day I picked up my gun, so I received a voucher for the range. That was nice. At the range, the guy at the desk was a bit arrogant or at least came off to be talking down to me. I mean if I saw that a person bought a gun from our place I would think you'd be more helpful. The range itself has plenty of lanes and was really open. There are fans set up so the earlier complaints of it being to hot, has improved but the middle bays are still cooler due to the AC. The second time there I brought my wife. I now realized that the range fee is $17. There was a different guy at the desk. Nice guy and very helpful. Now, 17 dollars for us to use the same handgun seems a bit steep when using logic, but there's no one else there so I'm not driving to another place and wait there. From now on I will not go there, bc I found a place in Orange Park that's newer and as close from my home. read more

My wife and I had a great experience here and I'd highly recommend Bullseye for both first time and advanced shooters. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful in every way. After our first visit to the range, my wife and I decided to take their basic handgun course. We couldn't have had a better experience. First the training was very reasonable and consisted of a holistic introduction to firearms (revolvers and semi automatic). The course was designed to give a complete beginners guide to firearms, their handling, the laws and even 1 on 1 instruction in small groups for the safe handling and range practice. It even qualifies the students for the concealed license. The instructor Ronald has a wealth of experience in both law enforcement and military and really took the time to ensure we were comfortable with handling the weapons - especially my wife. We then spent some time with Elvis looking over a few options for our first gun. He helped guide us to our first gun by getting to understand our lifestyle, wants and needs. He even took us out on the range to practice with their rental and offered crucial one on one guidance... for free. You can tell the staff care and are looking to build relationships. We'll be back for practice, more purchases and continued training as we advance. They won our business. read more

Great place to blow off some steam... First time here and I will be back again... Ammo is fairly priced or you can bring your own as long as you don't have any steel projectiles... Staff is helpful while not overly friendly however not rude. I did make the mistake of going to show them that the gun was unchambered and unloaded and that was a mistake there... Most ranges want the guns unloaded and cocked back so they are visually safe. Range is well ventilated and somewhat cool. The side ranges were cooler, the middle range was kinda warm. 17 dollar range fee is a little steep in price but not horrible read more

My daughter wanted to go shooting with a couple of friends for her 17th birthday. We have never done anything like this in so I had no idea where to begin. I called a ton of different gun ranges, and Bullseye gun range was the only place where I got to actually speak with a person! Elvis was incredibly nice and accommodating. I booked the time in February and just went tonight. It was fantastic! Bill led us through the first time gun training and then let us shoot a 22 and a rifle. Not only was his instruction incredible, but you could tell he enjoyed what he did and provided wonderful feedback and encouragement. This was the absolute WORST experience I've had at any range IN MY LIFE. I highly recommend no one ever go here, I will never go back. The day before I called ahead and the person that answered mentioned that rifle calibers are not allowed (fine) and that a silencer would be ok with paperwork. We arrived and I noticed on the door that there was "no concealed or loaded firearms". I unloaded my carry pistol, locked the slide back, and made it visible. Almost immediately when I walked in the old guy behind the counter had a problem. The other sales rep didn't seem to be a jerk, but had to put up with the old guy. Him: What are you doing walking in here with your pistol like that, like you're a cop or something Me: Huh? Your door says no loaded or concealed firearms, as you can clearly see it is not loaded or concealed. (I found it really odd a gun store had a problem with people carrying unloaded, open guns) Him: are the guns unloaded in your case Me: Yes (as I open it) Him: oh you have a rifle, those aren't even allowed in here Me: (trying to be accommodating) I can put it in the car. Him: Well show me what ammo you are shooting Me: (hands him a few boxes of ammo) Him: this ammo didnt come in this box! Me: Right, that is a wolf box, that is brass cased 147gr subsonic ammo. I flew with this ammo and the wolf boxes are smaller and fit better in my bag than the factory boxes this ammo came in. Him: This is reloaded ammo! Me: No it isnt, all the headstamps match, there are no extractor marks on the brass Him: You reloaded this and put it in a different box Me: So you think i went to the trouble of making this brass look brand new, matching head stamps etc, and put it in a box that the ammo obviously didnt come in? Why would I go to that much trouble and miss one detail? Fine I'll buy ammo, do you have any 147gr 9mm ammo? Him: No Me: Then how am I supposed to shoot my suppressor Him: Oh now you have class 3 guns! Me: They are title 2 weapons, not class 3 (not really caring at this point) Him: Do you even have paperwork for that thing! (very accusatory) Me: you think I'm walking around without paperwork to my silencer? Really?! Of course I have it on me. And at this point I got bored of arguing with him, they clearly dont care about treating customers with any level of respect. Their ammo is also over priced ($20 for a box of 9mm), and reading other reviews they dont let you pick up your own brass or shoot steel cased ammo. They make up rules as they are talking, and run the worst gun store I've ever been to. At this point we left and went to gun gallery who were much more reasonable. read more

The range is a little dated. No distance markings other than unmarked painted lines, so unless you ask the staff you don't really know at what distance your target is positioned. That being said the staff is very helpful and friendly. Don't expect touch screens or anything fancy like that on the firing line. No rifle shooting here either. Just pistol calibers. Overall it's a fairly average range. You can bring your own ammo but they have to check it. And no gun rentals but not a problem for me since I'm a gun owner. read more

They are alright if you just want to squeeze off a few rounds, but their training leaves a lot to be desired. Their instructors only have a very basic knowledge and conduct themselves in a very unsafe manner. I personally witnessed a negligent discharge due to the instructions provided by the NRA certified training counselor and I too witnessed their training counselor carrying a loaded pistol into the classroom. If you need a document to satisfy state requirements and can ride out the instructor's pompous demeanor, then great. But if you really want to learn safe and practical gun handling and marksmanship, go elsewhere. After seeing the instructor's unsafe acts first hand, I find their posted "baggy pants," "no loaded weapons," and "no concealed handguns" policy ironic and laughable. But since when does Bullseye have a range master? I have never seen one present there. read more

I endured 1.5 hours of traffic to drive the meager 7 miles to get to this place. I just moved here from CT and I had asked around about this place and I heard nothing but bad things about it. I decided to give it a shot because it was close and when I arrived I thought the place looked really cool. It looks very professional and updated outside but inside it looks like a barn was converted to a shooting range. It was warmer inside then it was outside. To be honest I don't really care about temp or aesthetics but I know some do and in light of my encounter I figured I would set the expectations of those who may consider trying this place out accordingly. What bothered me was I walked in and asked for a lane, the person behind the counter quickly rattled off all the rules and what the eye safety and ear safety protection requirements were and also what to do with the cardboard and the location of the stapler for securing the target. The location of the entrance door was a side-note and I thought when he indicated the location of the entrance to the range it was to the left of the counter. So when he was done I went to the left of the counter looking for the door and then as I scanned the room I noticed it was to the right. The person behind the counter thought it was necessary to embarrass me in front of the other customers with a loud wise ass comment about not following directions when I simply didn't catch the location of the entrance of the range upon him noticing that I finally realized where the door was. I entered the door and as I thought about the poor customer service experience I thought better of giving them my money and proceeded back to the counter and requested my id. The guy was very rude and inconsiderate when I explained that I didn't appreciate his wise ass remark because I didn't hear the location of the entrance of the door correctly. He then twisted the knife by showing no contrition by stating once again that you have to follow directions. This place is represented by rude inconsiderate people who have no concept of good customer relations. I would highly suggest going to either shooters, on target sports, or gateway outdoor range. I would say visiting this place would be a regretful action for sure. read more

No problems here. Yes the staff is serious. Guns are serious. Fine with me. Another word for it is professional. I went once, liked it and came back for a membership. As I live very close by it is very convenient. Ammo for 22LR was $25 per 350 last time, this time they only had 50 round boxes at $5 each. That doesn't reflect on them much as it is hard to find a lot of places I've tried. 22 short is very hard to find. read more

If you are renewing your "G" security license, be aware that the parking situation at this range is terrible. You are not allowed to park in the main parking lot and must park in a small side lot by the trash dumpster which fills quickly. I find it hard to believe that you are paying $85 and you do not have the right to park in their main lot. When asked why this is, I was told "well that's just the way it is"! Please realize that there are many other indoor ranges like On Target Sports and Basics Gun Range in Jacksonville that treat their customers with respect and are glad to have your business. The only way that this situation will improve is to take your business else where and vote with your wallet!!! read more

They were talking to this much older gentleman like he was a child and then another guy rushed over to take another man's gun to put it back in it's case and the guy was telling him he's been shooting since he was a child and that pretty much he knows how to do it but the guy working there didn't care saying "you wouldn't believe how many people come in here that don't know what they're doing" so rude. If only I can put negative zero I'll do it. The customer service is terribly, horrifically worst of the worst. I talk to a guy named Brian.... he is not nice at all. I feel like he don't want me to ask any question. Whenever I ask him a question, he look down and answer me that it seems I don't know what I'm talking about. Maybe because I'm minority and thinking that I cannot buy any item. He did not know that I want to purchase several guns and ammunition that day.
