The minute was fresh baked rolls, what I assume are house made pickles, pasta salad, potato salad, chicken, pulled pork (& I grew up southern: this might be the best pulled pork I've ever had), green beans & carrots, mac n cheese, cheesy baked ziti, meatballs. I wish I had taken a picture. I also loved that they were present for the event. I work nights, so it means a lot that they would actually be there for service as well as the human touch. My first experience was trying the Sausage, Pepper & Onion sandwich ($9) and Onion Rings ($4). Keeping in mind that I've generally made at least one annual excursion to a competitor about 2,000 feet East on this road to satisfy my sausage sandwich and onion ring craving for the last 25 years, I was curious if anything here would come close to satisfying. It had good texture, flavor, and spiciness. Peppers were a combination of chopped red, yellow, and green, and the onions did not overpower. The roll was fresh and soft. This may be my new preference. The onion rings were a surprise also. The coating was thick, very crunchy, and did not fall off the onion. The other standout was that there was no oily mess.
