This is the number one reason why I went to Dr. Gissel in the first place more than 10 years ago. I was told by another dentist that I needed three or possible four root canals and a couple other things. When I told one of my co-workers, she told me to go to Dr. Gissel first to ask for a second opinion because she told me that Dr. Gissel has been her dentist for a long time and he is nothing but honest with her. Boy, was I glad I went to him because it turned out that I only needed only one root canal at that time. Dentists are like mechanics for people like me who don't understand a lot about cars. We trust their opinions and recommendations because we believe their expertise. 2. PROFESSIONAL. Dr. Gissel and his team members are nothing but professional. They know what they are doing and yet they don't talk down to me. They explain things very well and they allow me to make the decision; they are never pushy. 3. CARING. What good is professionalism without love? Dr. Gissel his team members care about their patients. For the past decade, I can testify that my oral health has been a priority to them. Oh sure...they get paid for what they do but they make it a priority to make sure I come out of their office with better oral health. My wife hates going to dentists. I was finally able to convince her to go to Dr. Gissel for an annual check up. She is now a permanent patient of Dr. Gissel and she is now excited going to his office for annual check up and cleanings. 4. DETAIL-ORIENTED. Details. Details. Details. Quality is all in the details, and Dr. Gissel is all about details. He cares about his quality of work and therefore, he spends the time to take care of those details. I could hear him communicate with his assistant when working on my teeth and he would go back in to ensure the work was done to his satisfaction. He would not stop until I heard, "Perfect."
