He was nuzzling Petey and then this other woman (wife? owner?) comes in and barks at him in front of everyone. "PUT THE DUCK DOWN and LET'S GO," she snapped angrily twice. Sorry. Average flowers and rude customer service. Very disappointed. I won't be ordering from them again. I even gave them a chance after the first rude experience, ("eye-rolling" employee) when I just commented how expensive the lei I ordered was. It was an average orchid lei, with no extra adornments or embellishments. Apparently they fly them in from Hawaii, hence the hefty price tag. I didn't know they didn't make them there, so I inquired about the high cost. (Don't they know how to string a lei?) I think $60 is a bit much for a single strand orchid lei. But, I gave them another chance, as I think all businesses should receive one.The second time I ordered from them, I ordered a boutonniere in advance. I then called the day of the event to order a 2nd one, because my daughter's friend needed one and had forgotten to order. The woman who answered the phone cut me off as I was explaining why I was calling and just abruptly put me on hold. We used Bunches for our wedding a few weeks ago. They were and are a wonderful place to get beautiful flowers. I was really pleased with all of my boquets and additional flowers and everyone complimented me on them as well. They even added a fingerprint charm and picture charm of my Daddy who passed away three years ago for me( i brought them in) so I could feel as if he were walking me down the aisle. I also called twice to change my order and they were great in accomodating. My only complaints.. which are minimal is that the customer service when my coordinator and sister went to get my flowers the day of the wedding was NOT okay. They were spoken to rudely and in a condesending tone when asking a simple question. I dont appreciate that ever, espesically on my wedding day and especially when I am spending so much money on flowers. I would hope that I, and ANYONE that comes in for me to pick up flowers would be treated kindly. This was not the case. My other issue is that I asked for ALL WHITE flowers for my boquet specifically.. and got pink/peach along with white. Regardless, the flowers were beautiful so all worked out just fine. Overall I give the shop 4 stars because I do LOVE what they do. Just food for thought on customer service.. which I think can be hit or miss. read more

I absolutely love this place, too bad they don't have the Santana Row Location anymore because that was a lot closer to me, however Los Gatos has more flowers there than The Row store ever had, and its quite a cute lil store, when you walk in, it doesn't feel all stuffy like other flower stores that I've been to...I always see fresh beautiful flowers there and I've always had good service there also! read more

Having been tempted by how their storefront spills over onto the sidewalk in a very European way, I decided to try Bunches today to purchase flowers for my boyfriend's birthday. The selection was diverse and well presented (though I think they'd be well served by listing the name of the item as well as the price). I enjoyed the selection of less traditional foliage. Though there was a small rush happening right when I happened upon Bunches, the two ladies attending the store managed to handle the surge with grace. They made certain to touch base with everyone while still promptly and attentively handling those customers they were currently with. I can't say the same for the customers. It's a shame when the clientele has a negative impact on the shopping experience when the employees are obviously so competent. There was a distinct lack of common courtesy and too much entitlement bustling around the counter... jostling for position in an already-small space. Overall: Selection: Above average and fresh Space: A bit cramped, but charming Price: A little expensive. Mother's day morning, all the grocery stores are sold out of their ugly bouquets or only have dead ugly bouquet's left. In desperation, I tried the LG farmer's market...nada.. Then went to bunches and hit a home run. My mother and a neighbor both commented that my $26 bouquet was the most beautiful bouquet they have ever seen. My mom just stood there and stared at the bouquet for a few minutes when I gave it to her because it was so beautiful. (they combined a beautiful $16 dollar bouquet with additional mini-roses I picked out for $8, at my request). It was a whimsical shabby-chic bouquet. just amazing. I'd say the prices are not cheap (like the $10 ugly mixed flower bouquet from Safeway), but they are fair. I spent a few extra bucks and got a bouquet that wowed my mother! I have taken my daughter here since she was baby, and is now in college. We have bought many wonderful flowers here over the years. My daughter loved coming with me to see the duck, Pete, while I would chat with the owner. When we came back years later, we could not believe Pete was still there. However, I was deeply disappointed and left furious at the way I was treated. I was yelled at by a young employee that we were standing too close to the duck because she has anxiety, yet we were a good four feet away. I have spent thousands of dollars on flowers at this little shop over the many years, and was insulted in front of many other costumers for being too close to a duck that is wide out in the open for people to visit. It was a completely unprofessional and disrespectful response, which has led me to this one star review for poor customer consideration. read more

I called the shop at 9:20a.m. yesterday 12/22/20 (yes, an extremely busy day!) and was told they could accommodate my order & delivery to send my mother some beautiful Christmas flowers. She is in a nursing home only 4 miles away. There was never a mention that they would arrive after 5:30p.m.-but they did arrive. The arrangement was so subpar and disappointing. The reason for the 3 stars is the communication (or lack thereof) of the management which almost made me drop them as a vendor. Do not try and get in touch via email (even if you are encouraged to) as they tend not to respond. I was able to schedule an appt to consult with one of their designers and after being very impressed by her, decided to go with Bunches as my wedding florist. I emailed them to make payment and lock down the date. After a few of my calls were also not returned, I visited the shop to find out what was going on, and after responding very gruffly to my inquiries the owner (I believe) said she would have my designer get in touch with me. The designer (Sara) was amazing! I would give her 5 stars if this review was solely about her. She was able to give smart advice on substitutes for out of season flowers and really understood the look we wanted for our wedding flowers. She made efforts to contact me once she knew I was trying to get in touch with her and the flowers for my wedding looked fantastic! My mom had no trouble picking them up the morning of. read more

Love this place! The staff is warm and welcoming and their willingness to really spend time with you to pick the perfect arrangement is a blessing if your unsure what you want. Pete the duck is a bonus! So sad to see the previous persons review ridiculing the "narrow" size of the place. We are lucky to have a family owned florist shop in Los Gatos where real estate is at a premium. And by the way... there are signs everywhere about Pete the duck. Again in reference to the previous negative review, if you have that much time to write such an extensive review, you've got the time to read the sign at the entrance. As a dog owner, I take it as MY responsibility to ask if it's ok before entering any place. This place is awesome and the owner / staff are very kind. Bunches is AWESOME! I work for a nonprofit and I was planning a fundraising event. I had literally no budget for centerpieces for this event so I called Bunches to ask them what I could do. They gave me a great idea - purchase my own vases and then come by their shop to pick out as many "bunches" as I needed that would fit into my event budget. The ladies were extremely helpful, even going as far as helping me pick out the flowers and colors that would go well with my theme. The flowers looked great and were all pre-arranged. All I needed to do was trim the bottoms and put them into my vases. At the very last minute, I had to add another table and I needed another centerpiece. I had someone go to Bunches and they helped to put together a beautiful arrangement! Bunches is great and I will definitely be going back to them for all my events. read more

I've been happy to drive the 10 miles to hit these guys up every time I want to give somebody flowers for several years now, in spite of there being a Citti's 2 blocks from my house for a couple of reasons; Bunches has a relaxed, no pressure atmosphere. Its open, pass-through environment makes the place smell fresh. Everything they have is right there in front of you, ready to mix and match. The staff is always friendly and helpful without being pushy. One of things I despise about the chains is their constantly aggressive attempts to not let me walk out for less than $100. I can usually walk out of Bunches with a gorgeous bouquet for $20 -30 - that I get repeated compliments on as I walk to my car. Most florists feel like I'm preparing to be wed or dead.
