The roads obviously flood and often. They had the road closed sign off to the side when we entered the scenic drive and several signs about roads may flood~ obviously- the water is right there! If fact- you should be careful driving or you could easily find yourself taking a corner too fast and ending up in the water! I wouldn't want to drive this at night. Lucky for me- we drove it in bright beautiful daylight and I hung out the window taking snapshots as we drove by. Plenty of people were fishing! Just a good day to be outdoors. I know there is some hiking trails too~ we obviously didn't do that part.

Would recommend bringing some kind of shade covering for beach area but there's a covered picnic table area by the restrooms and hoses designated for the dogs to rinse off and community dog bowls for drinking in case you forget your own. Worthy to note- walking on The pier is not permitted for dogs after 10 am because apparently it gets too hot to walk on so there's alternate sand paths, you can definitely bring a wagon to help cart your stuff, an umbrella or shade to protect you from the sun might be needed since there's no natural shady areas, it's $11 to park all day with ability to go in & out throughout the day, and they have a hose to rinse down the dogs so WOULD RECOMMEND FOR A NICE DAY OUT IN NATURE, AT THE WATER WITH THE PUPS!!

You get to bring your own food and drinks. They also have a concession area where you can just your own food and drinks. At the state park, they have a concession booth and a restroom as well. The park is open from 8 AM to 6 PM and I have a recommend staying at the full day. It was so nice and relaxing plus parking was only three dollars. 10/10

We had two encounters with the ranger / maintenance team and both of them were pretty rude. Even if the information is valid they need to work on delivery. The authoritarian regime at Kelly Park is the only con to this gorgeous place.

This exhibit started November 2024 through April 2025 We missed 3 more sculptures because we were so tired after running around and running in and out of The car. We will continue to show you the last 3 asap. This is A must for locals and tourists also. In the brochure is a map where you can find them. We live in Ormond by the Sea so we started at the corner of A1A and and East Granada boulevard and worked our way down to the bridge. I can continue more when I update this review. I was in heaven taking pictures. With plenty of benches to sit and admire the view. Some of those benches have funny sayings. Towards the back of the park, there is a walking long bridge. A good place to walk. It has a nice view of the water. In the middle of the park, there is a Historic building that now is a church. It's a cute, old fashion looking house. It has a plaque that tells the history of the place. It was the first place for a Christian marriage in north America once upon a time. . This little park has its own parking lot. Is not too big. I liked my time here. I was glad I stopped. I got great pictures.
