The bathroom was big and everything worked great. You get bath robes as well and the AC worked well. There wasn't a TV in the room, so that kinda sucks. There's a fridge and they supply water daily. The pool was okay, didn't really have a view and there was nothing happening up at the pool. There were cabanas but no music and the pool water was very cold. The breakfast that was included was good. You get choice of egg and a meat on the eggs, some fruit and coffee. The breakfast is at the pool which is the rooftop. I enjoyed the breakfast. One thing that downgraded the hotel for me was they ran out of water for about 4 hours. They said the City occasional have water shut downs. We weren't able to shower or even go number #2 or anything. It was weird. We asked their neighboring businesses and they confirmed that yes sometimes the city run out of water but theirs was working fine today. Later we saw a truck with a huge water tank parked in front of the hotel. Also upon leaving, we booked a shuttle through Expedia and the Sayulita taxi cartel gang extorted us for money and they didn't do anything. It was right in front of their hotel and the front desk and other hotel workers were watching and didn't help us one bit. There was an argument with our shuttle driver and 3 Sayulita taxi guys about Expedia shuttle not being an approved shuttle to pick up in Sayulita. We had to pay $500 pesos to leave. I know it's not their fault but help us out a bit.

Absolute nightmare! Stay anywhere else besides this Delta (Marriott) property. Want to wait two…read morehours for a buffet with no food, or when there is food it's worse then a school cafeteria, want to be sprayed with commercial grade pesticide while swimming with kids, want to pay three times what the locals pay to be told you showed up the wrong time of year, listen to everything your neighbors say and do, listen to them blast music until 2am and start again at 5am, hear every toilet in the building flush, then this is the resort for you! Don't get me wrong, the property itself is breathtaking. I mean just beautiful. More pools than you can swim in while here. You are in the jungle and it's great. Has a breath taking view of the Bay of Banderas. You get excited when you see the iguanas as they are large and fun to watch. Until you are floating in the lazy river and have multiple pieces of iguana fecal matter floating next to your face and realize why the water is so murky. Some of the daytime staff is really nice and want to be of service while you are on vacation. The rest of the staff, especially the night staff do not care. They will remind you over and over you traveled during the wrong time of year, apparently we came three weeks late for international travel. This is according to Management, Carmine (Night Front Desk Manager) made it clear we are not welcome and should have known this time of year is for locals only. Even met a Canadian family who had the same experience with management. That you have to be ok with the extremely limited food options and hours of operations. That running out of hamburgers or potatoes is a normal thing. That you are at a Mexican resort with NO Mexican food. This is hands down the worst service I have ever dealt with. Especially when they tell you the commercial grade pesticide they spray multiple times a day on property, while swimming in the pools, is safe for you and your family to breathe in. Yet, the employees spraying it are wearing commercial grade masks to go with the commercial grade pesticide being sprayed. Four different occasions this happened, covers your entire body, you get a mouthful of bug killer and chemicals while trying to relax on vacation. They are saying it's safe to their patrons, safe to breathe bug repellent. Just absolutely floored over that. They could spray in the middle of the night, instead middle of the day while it's at capacity. Off property is great. Lots of things to explore and do. Will be coming back to Mexico, will not be coming back to this property.

To me there are two things that really make this hotel special- the fantastic owners and the amazing staff who are so hospitable and accommodating, and the tranquil environment. Once you come in off the street and head back to the bungalows. Also the grounds are meticulously cared for, the decor is fantastic and authentic Mexican, and the bungalows come equipped with mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven and microwave along with dishes, cups etc... Everyone goes above and beyond to make our stays relaxing and fun. The pool is great and usually very quiet. They also have Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels that you can take to the beach which is a couple minute walk, so you don't have to bring any of this stuff or worry about renting it. If you're looking for a great experience give Hotel Vogue a try! They are simply the best!

We felt so incredibly safe at Hotel Vogue. We often even found that we were leaving our bags out on our open patio for long periods of time because Hotel Vogue is so safe. They had someone at the front door always and a private security gate PLUS a coded door at night so that you always felt very safe. The facilities in this hotel are BEAUTIFUL. Everything is very clean, comfortable, spacious and you feel like you are in a private oasis when you enter. It's right in the middle of town, but you don't feel like it once you enter Hotel Vogue. The amazing plants and wildlife makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The rooms are very spacious and extremely comfortable - they have made a beautiful space that is so authentic to the Mexican culture which is what we loved most. Even though the owners, Marv and Mary, are from Michigan, they have created the most authentic and beautiful space at Hotel Vogue. There's a lot of Pro and Cons to this hotel…read more First off, this hotel seems to be new and incomplete. A lot of things are just half way done but they are opened for business to help with cost I'm assuming. The staff are really nice and accommodating but won't be upfront and honest about the things that they know visitors won't appreciate. I am listing the cons first because I know that it can be easily remedy Cons: They accept cash only, we ended up paying in US dollars. For 3 nights it was $370. A bit much for all the cons we experienced.... 1. The A/C unit is mounted on the wall but we were fooled as it wasn't hooked up yet. This is a problem when its over 90 degrees and 80% humidity. We brought this up to the front desk and they apologized and asked if wanted a full refund knowing it was too late to look for another hotel nearby. 2. The kitchenette wasn't set up, no cooking utensils, no pots and pan, and the stove wasn't hooked up for cooking or reheating. 3. Rooms with the street can be really loud, if you have a hard time sleeping (especially when it's hot), don't stay unless they have the A/C hooked up. 4. They only set up with 2 pillows, 2 towels, an all in one shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Limited supplies. 5. No entrance to pool, not that we were really wanting to take a dip since the beach is nearby... the layout was just unwelcoming. 6. Wi-Fi: if you need to work while on vacation and need to have reliable WiFi, don't don't don't. I think it only works if you're in the lobby. 7. TV doesn't work. Isn't hooked up. Works only on Wi-Fi. 8. POWER OUTAGE, there's nothing like a hot night with no fan. 9. They changed the locks on us.... They gave us a set of keys and on our second night we tried to get back in but the key wouldn't turn. We went to the front desk and they said they upgraded to a new set of keys... Yup.... Overall, maybe I should have negotiated my price, but it is done and I get that they are still learning, PROS: 1. Cute layout. Once it is complete, the room will be very welcoming. Just call ahead to make sure that their AC is working. 2. The staff are friendly. 3. Location is perfect to the beach, it's walking distance. If you walk down towards town (pass the school) you can see the chicken grilling man, walk down that path. Voila, there's the beach. Walk to the and you will happily stumble upon the beach bar. Pretty sunset spot. :) Once they have it figured out, most of my cons can be pros. Good luck if you choose to stay. Let me know if they've improved!
