I went here for part of my 30th birthday celebration and I'm so glad I did! There were great happy hour drinks and someone got karaoke started early! I had so much fun singing and hanging out with friends. The bar had a very nice vibe and the people working there were very nice and wished me a happy birthday. Doorman "Brent" was disrespectful and rude to us upon arrival while checking our IDs. My man is 45, and definitely doesn't look 20. He also proceeded to tell the bartender not to serve us. This bar has always been a flagship of the Uptown neighborhood. The concept of a Cold War era bar was beautifully generated and executed by the original owners, opening in 2017. It's been through many seasons and phases, I was fearful that it would be another place that succumbed to the affects of the COVID 19 pandemic. OKC has lost so many great places! However in June 2023 ownership changed hands and Bunker Club has received the necessary attention and improvements to restore it to its previous glory. All of the taps operational. Inventory is full. New items added to the menu. Bartenders are happy to showcase their hard work and mixology skills. This is a place that you can be proud to call your neighborhood bar/hang out or bring your friends and family to. I attend trivia here every week on Wednesday where I've had some of the best times and made new friends. I've even won a few times and used the gift certificate to pay my teams tab. If you're reading this and intrigued go check it out for yourself! Mondays they show weird movies with a couple of locals who host and discuss the movie afterward. They have tiki Tuesdays equipped with Karaoke. Thursday night bingo. Friday night DJ. Get a shot of Rocket Sauce and have a walking taco. If you don't drink check out the NA section of the menu or ask the bartender to create something based on your pallet! I believe there are a couple of NA beers too. I visited the bar tonight, got all my favorites: dr strange love, pain killer, and a 405 red. The bar is still very chill but I definitely miss my favorite bartender of all time (Thomas.) I asked James and he said he doesn't work there anymore which is a bummer. However, James did a phenomenal job mixing drinks and attending all the many patrons at the bar. We stopped in this place during an impromptu Uptown pub crawl for a couple of cold beers. The beers were cold and the service was friendly. The decor in here is in keeping with the Cold War and the ongoing nuclear threat of the times. It is dark and hip and even romantic here. Good date night drinks spot. So this bar is nestled a couple doors down from Tower Theater. Tower let us check in and then go wandering, which brought us to The Bunker Club. We were not disappointed as it is great retro styled bar with comfortable bar chairs and booth seating. The decor, lighting and art is unique with some great touches. This is a cute non-smoking bar on 23rd Street. I love it. Music is playing, but I can hear enough to talk. They really don't have food (I mean, is frito pie FOOD?!) But it's a cute small bar with interesting decor. It's just fun! They have a ton of beers on tap, and I got the "Oskar Blues Death by Coconut" and it was coconut flavored dark beer. Mmm. First and last visit here, got here around happy hour and ordered a hot dog what I received was a dried up crusty dog that must have been on the roller since yesterday. It was really that bad. Came in sat at the bar and waited quite a while for the bartender to acknowledge me which didn't happen until I went and stood in front of him, then he was friendly enough I suppose. The place may come alive at night but happy hour was a bust. Whatever huge cocktail that was bubbling did not look fresh and the build up on the side of the plastic containers gave it away. Fun dive bar. Solid drinks. The menu has a good mix of creative cocktails, house wine, and cheap beer. Food menu is very sparse with just a handful of fried options. For cocktails, we tried the Sputnik and Blacklist and both drinks were excellently balanced. We stopped in the Bunker Club to check it out and were very glad we did. Small bar near the Tower Theater, it stands out because of it's fun Cold-War theme. Vintage pop art, fun music, TV's that loop the black & white "duck and cover" message. Check out the bathrooms, fun decor! Although there is not a typical menu, they offer chili, cheese, or onion hot dogs and Frito Pie in a bag! Seems appropriate. The Bunker Club has a DJ booth and once a week a DJ is featured. They also have Karaoke nights and seasonal parties. We are probably older than the typical customer but felt welcomed and comfortable. Man am I glad we decided to come to Bunker Club for New Year's Eve! It was our first time going and my friends and I had a blast! It's kind of a dive-y bar but smoking is not allowed so you don't leave smelling like an ash tray (thank God). Our bartenders were super cool and fun, and all of our drinks were good. I also enjoyed the crowd of people it pulled in. At first, I thought it seemed pretty hipster but there was a good mix of people as the night progressed. Good vibes here. What bar serves you till you are so intoxicated you don't even know where you are? Or what type of bar serves you when you come in super intoxicated? That is what I walked into here at The Bunker... this is rather weird to say the least... So on 9-28-2021 a group of 13 of us went bar crawling for a birthday party! Something most of have never experienced, and for the most part it was a blast... There were 3 people in our party that were sober. Me being one of them. So we walk in to the bunker around 1:30, all of us in our party are very aware of the time... we stopped in making The Bunker, the last of the bars for us to attend that evening. We walk in and all seemed fine. They had 2 other customers and a dog.... The guy with the gentleman seemed normal. Normal conversation etc, and there was this other girl... we will call her "B".... She was apparently there at the bar alone.... And when we all showed up she automatically started talking the the entire group... she swore she knew us and was giving all of us hugs... ok... she is clearly drunk, but we are at a bar... all of us in our party decided to all do a shot because they were calling last call already... you know; "bar time" and all.... So he poured the shots of grey goose for 11 people, then I asked how much. Not because I can't afford it. But because some people in our party wanted to share the cost... like we have been doing all night long. After I asked the bar tender, the bar back or whoever he seemed to be snicker randomly... so I ask what was funny, and he said "oh, there is a lot going on right now", um.... Ok, right, we all have a lot going on right now. After that they guys got really short with their words... also one guy in our party went outside with his GF and "B", they were making sure she had an Uber or Lyft, unlike The Bunker, who either served "B" until she was that drunk or allowed her to come in that drunk and continued to serve her... either way, the guys at The Bunker clearly only cared about themselves and not the safety or security of anyone else. So as our friends were outside assisting the super drunk "B", the bar tender notices everyone has paid but our friends outside... I assure the guy will be back, he isn't the type to skip out on a tab, and tbh if he accidentally did, 11 of us were still inside, we would had made sure all was legit before leaving... but the bar tender was so obsessed about dude coming back inside none of the staff asked why he was doing or where the super drunk "B" was.... In that moment I had to step outside. The energy in The Bunker was horrible. So if you are a single female please be careful when attending this bar. Because no one who works here will care about your well being, just your money. read more

I'm not sure how long The Bunker Club's been hanging around Uptown 23rd, but I wish I'd crawled out from under my rock to find it sooner. It's an awesome addition to the district! The atmosphere is amazing; the spacey, divey, 50s-y decor make for all sorts of eye candy (and also invoke crazy levels of Fallout nostalgia). The staff and patrons are super nice, and it's a great place to chill out for a bit. The drinks really compliment the theme, too! I tried the JFK and was dubious of the avocado infused rum, but it was so. Darn. Good! I'm craving one now just thinking about it. read more

I wish I could give this place a solid review, but unfortunately my experience was cut short. The bartender wouldn't serve me because my license was expired by 8 days...ok, so maybe they are a little overly cautious, but I get it. I told my husband to go ahead and order a drink and I would just sit this bar out, but then she told us we had to leave because no one under 21 is allowed in the bar. Are you serious?? She clearly saw on my license that I'm 29 years old (same age as my husband, which she also saw on his non-expired ID) but yet we both are kicked out like a couple of high schoolers trying to pull a fast one? Ridiculous. I'm in town for the week to visit my husband who is here for work, and in all the bars/restaurants we have gone to before and after this one, not one has refused to serve me or made me leave the establishment. I honestly think she saw my out-of-state ID and got paranoid, but you would think a small bar like this with such few customers would welcome the business. Luckily we found some other great bars along the same street that were much more welcoming, but based on my experience here, I can not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I liked this bar. It was quiet and the bartender/staff was friendly and polite. The drinks were okay. I got the 3 Mile Island Iced Tea which was good, but a little too sour. I still enjoyed it. The second cocktail I got was The Dr. Strangelove which was good. The bar was clean with cool vintage decor. I loved the mural and the odd Betty Boop vintage figurine. Bunker Club is a little bar next door to the Tower Theatre and Urbun. I visited on a Friday after having dinner at Hall's Pizza Kitchen for the first time. It is a casual, kind of hole in the wall place that has a fun theme. It was definitely fun to look around at all of the bunker/fallout decor. It is very unique and different from some of the other bars that are in the area. I will say that I wish that the space was larger for it being a bar. Majority of the seats are up at the bar and they do not have a waitstaff. I believe that there are only about 4-5 tables.This made it a little difficult for us to find a spot to sit all together (there were 4 of us) and to be able to have a conversation. The bartenders are nice, attentive, and go out of there way to make sure that you have a drink/cocktail that you like. They definitely like for their patrons to try their cocktails. Everyone in my group ordered one of their house cocktails. I tried the 3 Mile Island Ice Tea. The bartender accidentally made it with strawberry, so he made me another drink and didn't charge me for the first drink. I really appreciated this and was grateful that he noticed that he made it wrong and immediately wanted to make me the correct drink, instead of just having me take the drink that was given to me and walking away. My sister ordered the Sputnik and did not like it at all. The bartenders were great about making her a different drink that she liked. While, the Bunker Club is a fun, little divey bar. I will say that I noticed the flow of patrons coming and going very fast. It seems to be a one-drink type of stop. I will probably visit again, but it will probably the same sort of visit. Go in, grab a drink, and then move on to another bar that is in the area. It just kind of has that type of atmosphere and I think part of that is because of the lack of sitting. I was here for the second time over the weekend. It's a great place to chill. The bar does get crowded but you will always be able to find seats. I think the over flow of patrons come from the pump, which is fine by me. I prefer to be indoors with central ac! You order your drinks at the bar as there is no wait staff. The friendly bartenders will definitely take care of you. The drinks come super strong and you don't pay a premium for the "overpour" unlike other places nearby. Don't freak out when you are on your way to the restrooms in the back. There's a see-through glass floor right before heading to the restrooms. It looks as if you are falling into a deep hole. It's a nice touch. The whole Cold War theme is also pretty cool. read more

For my 300th review, I will show a local new hotspot some love. I totally dig the Cold War theme of the BC and the specialty cocktails that are concocted by the talented bar staff. On my visits, the bartenders have all been especially courteous and aren't shy about recommending something out of the ordinary. My favorite specialty cocktail as of this review is the Dr. Strangelove. I'm not usually one to venture into the realm of specialty cocktails, but I found myself unable to resist the urge to try one at the BC. I will return to the BC and recommend this laidback spot to anyone that is wanting to have a few libations. read more

I visited Bunker Club during my annual visit to OKC and damn am I pleased to find yet another amazing local establishment on 23rd street. This area is slowly coming back to life as great local businesses like Bunker Club find their way in! I went in with a couple of friends for a late drink and we were happy to find the place busy and the bar service stellar and quick! Their menu of specialty drinks was off the hook and their local beers on tap was also impressive. The prices were also amazing considering the atmosphere of the place. I had a Strawberry Sputnik for $7 and it made my heart sing. My friends and I loved this place, the vibe, the drinks, the bartenders, the clientele, and the location. When I first heard that Ian and Hailey of The Pump were opening another bar in Uptown, I was so excited because it is one of my favorite districts! With The Pump's success, I was confident they'd kill it here too. It has a unique theme based on the Cold War years, and the decor couldn't be more authentic. The old TVs are probably my favorite part. They have a great cocktail list and serve up the basics for cheap. Pretty good selection of local beer as well. The same couple that opened the smashingly successful bar, The Pump, brought their signature funky style just down the street to open this Cold War themed bar. Bunker Club is a bit smaller than the other bars on this strip but it feels cozy and inviting. They also do not allow smoking inside which is a huge selling point for me. The drinks are very well-priced. They have prosecco on tap which is one of my favorite things. They also allow you to bring in food from neighboring restaurants if you feel so inclined. There is always a crowd on the weekends and occasionally a wait. During the weekdays you can typically find a seat for two or more. Certainly a place worth spending some time with rad people. read more

Undeniably, the interior is cool and trendy, but the bartenders seemed more interested in flirting with each other instead of helping the 10 or so patrons in the bar. Took at least 15 minutes of sitting at the bar top before they came to ask what I would like, and another 10 minutes to get my beer and shot. Drinks are standard cocktail bar things, with some interesting cocktails and all the standard liquors and beers (and wines, which I believe were on tap). Would have given five stars but it was a little stuffy and crowded for my personal taste. Hard to criticize a place for being too busy! This is a "sister bar" to the Pump, nearby. Take Cover! Bunker Club is a Cold War-inspired throwback to a bygone era. The music is rad, the drinks rule and the atmosphere is very, very cool. So come on in and sip a Sputnik or an Up And Atom. I love this place! They have an old school Galaga tabletop (free to play), board games, and darts. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the crowd always seems pleasant.
