Formally "By George's" (it took us forever to remember the name of the old place, they've classed it up quite a bit with couches, redone pool table, new dart games and wooden floors. I wouldn't call it a dive bar, but I love dive bars and this was a great option for people who love that vibe but don't like smoking. Mix of young and old, there was definitely an older happy hour crowd that rotated out around 7 with younger people filing in. read more

Great dive bar, and I also like the location because it's not by a bunch of other businesses where parking can get super crowded. I love that there's a private parking lot, and inside is comfortable to walk around and have a few drinks with friends. They have your typical bar games, and the drinks are strong and fairly priced. Perfect place to have a low key girls night out, or even a guys night out. Our friend from Texas even enjoys coming here when he visits family and friends. There's something about Kat's that's special--can't put my finger on it, but it's a fun hangout spot to catch the game--its a cozy spot--great winter bar. It's dive bar meets Cheers kinda place. Everyone is welcome. They've got massive TV's hanging all around + a pool table + dart board + some other games. The service was good, not exceptional, but very average. It's a rather dark bar. So wouldn't be my first pick if I wanted to feel connected to outside in any way. It's a non-smoking bar so kudos for that. We and other patrons brought in food while catching the game. At one point somebody in the bar ordered pizza delivery, so that's an option, too. The bathrooms were clean. It's really a tucked away spot. They have ample parking. read more

One of OKC's hidden gems. This place has a cute, cozy, home bar vibe- one of those places where you can go and always find someone to chat with, casually network, or just sit at the bar and unwind. The service is great, prices are affordable, and the crowd is always full of interesting people from travelers to locals. It's one of those places I like to go when I'm looking for interesting conversation with strangers or when I want to bump into a familar face without the hassle of making plans. The place is clean and smoke-free with plenty of entertainment from TVs, karaoke, and cozy seating. The layout is great for conversation- not too big, just the right level of noise, and a great crowd. I noticed another review that mentioned safety/harassment so I'll comment on my experiences, which have all been positive. Regarding safety for women, I've never had any problem with groping, impolite advances, or otherwise being harassed here. However, as the other reviewer mentioned, creepers gonna creep and I'm sure anyone could have a negative experience here as with any other place. I haven't experienced people asking for money- everytime I've been, most of the crowd consisted of white collar professionals and familiar faces from nearby Nichols Hills. I have never not had someone offer to buy me a drink here, but also have never had anyone act disrespectful or been harassed if I declined, or if I accepted but was not highly interested in conversing. The people I've met here have seemed more concerned about a woman buying her own drinks, being gentlemen/gentlewomen, or not wanting to take a shot alone versus trying to hook up or having sketchy motives. The inside feels safe but since the location is a bit far from other night life attractions, it's quiet and feels a little dark. Anytime I've visited solo, I've waited inside until my ride arrives and found someone to either walk me out or make sure I get in safely. Overall, this is one of my favorite cozy spots in OKC and I consider it one of the better places in the area to go alone as a woman, whether you're looking to just hang out alone around other people or connect with potential long-term friends. read more

If you love darts they do tournaments on Sundays and a giant patio which is great for spring and summer! Bartenders are always nice and take great care of you, even when they're slammed! You'd think we as humans have outgrown that. Then again, what else can you expect in a bar predominantly full of Caucasian men? They will approach you. And they will offer you a shot of fireball. Other than that, pool tables are good. Found some good sticks. Shuffleboard was fun. It may need a little more sand. People like karaoke here. Oh, and the bartenders are pretty cool. We had 1 drink here before we left the bar to twist my ankle on the stairs right outside the front door that has no warning of the step and the bartender laughed and asked what we were expecting out of it. I couldn't even walk to the car because I was crying on their step over my ankle that I felt was broken. The excuse was how do they know that I wasn't messed up leaving the bar; It's 6 pm and we came here for ONE drink after shopping. They had no compassion and held no responsibility or accountability. Heard about this little gem from a friend and decided to see it for myself. It's a little hidden but worth the stop. Nice bar with a comfy atmosphere. There is a few games- golden tee, foosball and a pool table with lots of tv's. Bartenders are super friendly and attentive. Hasn't officially opened yet but I definitely expect great things. They have 6 TVs, Darts, a pool table and everything needed for a good dive bar. They have Black Box wine for $6 a glass and everything else. Only gets a a two bc they have Crystal running karaoke. Two of the worst bartenders I've ever encountered. Maybe one was in training? There's maybe 15 people in here right now. This flip of the old "By George" is welcomed. The atmosphere is lighter and a bit more sophisticated, which eliminates the straight-up grungy feel of a dive bar. Seating is strange with various types and sizes of tables and chairs, including a super comfy royal purple lounging couch area for reserved parties when needed. Bathroom is still dingy and could use color, but functioned properly. The long bar, dart board, golf game, and pool table are still there. Drinks aren't cheap, save a beer special posted on the wall; but the selection isn't bad. This has turned into a regular Friday night karaoke spot for my crew. read more
