A place that is constantly a star 5 review. For starters, I have yet to find another place that has the quaint charm and delicious coffee/bowls this place has to offer. Everything is made fresh on the spot. There coffee is always delicious and never tasting burnt or overly sweet. Perhaps, my favorite part is the fact each month they have new flavors to try. (My favorite is the cookie butter and Cinnamon Toast Crunch with oat milk iced). Thank me later! Honestly though! I drive an hour and half sometimes just to break away from my normal routine just to enjoy this place. It is a picture perfect coffee car. Offering only the best vegan options. The Bunkhouse Coffee Bar is a great little respite in the wonderful downtown area of Jensen Beach. Just take a right at the train tracks and it's right there. The inside is very warm and welcoming with seating areas right at the bar, or around the perimeter. Outdoor seating is available as well. Hot Wife and I had been meaning to stop in here for a while as they have a sign outside saying they have "Vegan baked goods" mmmmmmm vegan baked goods......drools...... and while walking by we popped in. They only had the chocolate muffin at that time and I was kind of taken aback at the price ($5 for a muffin) but why not. I like to support local businesses like this so I happily got a muffin. The Vegan chocolate muffin was incredibly good. As we walked back home we sampled it and oh man it was good. Dense and chewy, full of chocolatey flavor and it was great knowing it's Vegan! So tasty was this muffin that it inspired Hot Wife to recreate it at home. (I of course enjoyed those as well) They have lots of teas, coffees, breakfast items and the people working there are very kind. Every time I drive by I remember the tasty Vegan chocolate muffin and know I will stop in and sample more tasty baked goods. I highly recommend! read more

Bunkhouse Coffee Bar represents a taste of Key West in Jensen Beach. I'm pretty sure the space used to be the old cigar shop. They've transformed it into a full fledge coffee shop with bar seating, a community (ish) table and outdoor seating. There's a tight focus on health food, especially the acai bowls, which are prepared right in front of you. They are behemoth in portion size and flavor. I (shockingly) couldn't finish my Acai Bondi Bowl, which was jam packed with fresh fruit, granola and chia seeds. Fruity, nutty and refreshing! They don't roast their own coffee, but they craft innovative lattes and all the staples. The Cold Brew packed the punch I was in dire need of on a warm day. Also, their gluten free muffins looked outrageously awesome. Too bad I didn't have any room after the acai bowl! A few quirks about the shop: the owner's dog hangs out inside, there are community books to read, and the vibe screams island life. The only constructive criticism would be to monitor the bathrooms and check up on the dog, who was drooling all over the floor. Great addition to the Downtown Jensen Beach area! read more

Only has milk alternatives. Been here a few times to try different things but haven't found a good thing yet. Manager has a reputation around town for being rude to the staff, especially in front of the customers. The lattes are not too good. They taste like milk and nothing like espresso. We were staying at Ocean Breeze Resort in our camper and we walked by this place at night and decided we wanted to give it a try before we returned home. We went on a Sunday morning around 10 ish. We were greeted with a friendly hello and told we would be helped in a couple of minutes. The owner Kelly Adams was working along with another girl. These two are quite a team. They were both working very hard at getting food prepared as well as the drinks made. It's not easy to make blended coffee drinks, regular coffee drinks, iced teas, smoothies, and create all these beautiful bowls and breakfast sandwiches as well as pastries. I personally would have freaked out with how many people were there and all the drinks that had to be made. It appeared to me as though Kelly was in charge of the coffee drinks and the other girl was in charge of the smoothies, the food, and the dishes. If you are an inpatient person and you think this is Starbucks quick, this isn't the place for you. If you want a cup of coffee that is made with love and patience and taste delicious, then this is the place for you. There aren't eight barista's behind the counter. There is a woman and her dream to have a coffee shop and to me that's what I go on vacation for---to experience local flavor and hospitality. We had coffee, tea, a blueberry scone and a cranberry muffin.... all delicious. We enjoyed everything and the atmosphere was pleasant. I really liked Lil Bean, the dog. I'm wearing my hat I bought from there and it is nice and light and comfortable. Looking forward to returning to this place on our next camping trip. Kelly and staff keep up the good work. Such sweet staff and in the absolute cutest beach cottage-y location! I got the GF Bondi açaí bowl and a GF, Vegan chocolate chip banana bread treat for myself to enjoy on my day trip to Jensen and it was absolutely delicious (general rule of thumb for Celiacs: if granola or oats are not certified as gluten-free, just don't risk it)! I dislike açaí that tastes too sweet and full of unnecessary sugar, but Bunkhouse's tastes so refreshing and natural - to say I loved every bite would be an understatement! The actual coffee bar is very relaxed and has such a chill, hippie, free-spirit vibe. Plus, their outspoken support against the use of animal products is certainly heartwarming and in alignment with my values. The staff is full of absolute delights! Overall, I highly recommend stopping by, either after a nice beach trip or just to hang out and get some work done. read more

First thing you should know is that this place does NOT alert customers to the fact that this is a VEGAN coffeehouse. It is impt. BEFORE you order your overpriced cup of coffee. A friend mentioned this cute little shop and so this morning on my way to the beach I stopped in to grab a cup to take w/ me to the beach. The gal who greeted me pleasantly asked what I wanted. I replied "just a cup of good coffee." She told me about the two choices of brewed coffee and I made my selection. She asked me if I needed room for cream. "Yes please." I replied. Next thing I asked when she hands it to me is where I can get the cream. She tells me they don't have REAL cream, only nut and alternative options. THAT'S NOT CREAM! CREAM IS DAIRY and hopefully always will be unless the vegans have their way. I'm asked $3.25 for a cup of coffee I cannot happily enjoy without REAL cream. I am pissed, but I give her 50 cents in the tip jar despite my annoyance. $3.25 for a cup of LUKEWARM coffee which is what was poured into my personal travel mug for which I cannot enjoy. PUT A DAMN SIGN OUTSIDE YOUR CUTE LITTLE COTTAGE FOREWARNING TRAVELERS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE REAL CREAM/DAIRY FOR THOSE WHO ENJOY IT. read more
