Buttery, flaky croissant, thick smoky bacon, fat juicy tomato slices - typically I wouid never order a BLT on a croissant, but I went with Carol's (the manager) recommendation and it slapped! Hard. 11/10 My wife ordered the Dubai chocolate croissant and let's just say: it flexed harder than Schwarzenegger in his prime. Layers so airy they almost levitate. Smooth dark chocolate and pistachio. It's sweeeeet. If you like dubai chocolate style creations - this is otherworldly. I asked my wife what score she gives it. She didn't skip a beat. "Numbers are insufficient for that masterpiece." There ya have it! We swing by when we can for their sourdough loaf which are always 10/10. A huge shoutout to Carol, the manager. She's not just helpful - she's encyclopedic. Ask her what's in a pastry, what's not, what pairs best with coffee - she'll walk you through like your own pastry tour guide, always kind, always thorough. It's tiny, yes - you'll eat outside, in your car, or at home. But trust me, when the food hits this level, location doesn't matter. Sucre is a heavyweight champ hiding in a shoebox. An inviting and cute little bakery with tasty goodies. We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon without realizing they were closing in a few minutes. We've always enjoy Sucre but we had a really bad experience this morning. I sent my daughter down to pick up paste for a group of friends at our house and she was treated very poorly . The woman that waited on her was totally rude to the point that she left before getting everything she wanted. My daughter was told " do not point at what you want" and " how many different things are you going to get?".... Bad experience , we will not be sending her back to pick up for us . read more

Hidden, little gem. Decided to try this place based upon a recommendation from our foodie friends... what an experience. Patrick greeted us with his wisdom of the remaining selections... I came here at 11am on 4th of July. They were pretty much out of product due to an unexpectedly busy morning. I was able to get a basic croissant. The croissant was flaky but the lamination and butter flavor lacked the plugra buttery taste and texture i look for in a good croissant. While not meeting my expectations, I would say it is one of the better croissants in Stuart. The outdoor seating area has much to be desired...doesn't exactly remind me of a "European cafe" as some reviewers say but it works. read more

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife. The request was to have chocolate frosting with strawberry cake. Two layers. But I was surprised to get vanilla frosting and three layers cake. The price was also raised 50% more. I had no choice but to pay the price because I didn't have another place to buy a cake. The manager/owner promised me for some compensation on the errors, however, she insisted that I should come back to the store for something she could offer. Ignore Sucre French Bakery's décor, and enjoy the flaky croissants with filing of choice. I loved the lemon blueberry with toasted almond, and my wife the Strawberry Napoleon. This is a great little hidden gem just outside of the downtown Stuart area! They make wonderful looking and delicious tasting baked goods of many varieties! Their muffins are wonderful, and their croissants are decadent and delicious and come in so many flavors. We love the pumpkin filled, pecan pie topped fall flavor! They have almond chocolate raspberry which is another fabulous combo! Blueberry croissant! And many others- I'm not sure you could go wrong. They also make gorgeous tarts, fruit pies, and many other delicious treats. I just wish they would sell whole loaves of freshly baked breads like brioche loaves and baguettes, etc.! That would have me in here weekly to purchase! Service is always friendly and efficient! The inside is standing room only and fits about 3 people inside at a time. Stumbled upon this place during the Stuart art festival. Let me just say wow. Had their lemon bar which looked absolutely divine and it did not disappoint.
