The bride and groom had to pull out of having the reception at the Silo. Management turned from kind and helpful to rude and disrespectful. He defiantly showed his true colors. We were not allowed to use the inn during the ceremony which made it hard to keep tradition for the bride and groom not to see each other before walking the isle and the bride and groom were charged twice. It was childish behavior of management and unprofessional. I was vary disappointed, but the ceremony was beautiful. The chairs and arch where set up when we got to the site, but we never saw anyone one from management to answer questions for congratulate the bride and groom. I would be carful working with the Silo for any event, but if you are a tough cookie I think you will like the Silo ceremony site.

Diane, the owner of Carriage House Qulits was a terrific coach who gave us the history of crazy quilts and helped each of us become confident stitchers! She is going to finish the edges for us as none of us are as skilled as she is. We can't say enough about how welcoming she was to our group of nine that ranged in age from 4 to 74!

Breakfast offerings change daily and she uses the freshest ingredients; I'm super picky and every option sounded scrumptious. It was hard to choose just one! HIGHLY recommend the Gazebo room; it is a standalone room situated towards the back of the property and is very private and romantic. The decor is simple, yet elegant. It includes an oversized jet tub, spacious bedroom and bathroom and mini fridge. There is also a fireplace in the room and is stocked with lavender toiletries. My boyfriend and I appreciated the attention to detail in this room. We will absolutely be back! Madeline and Ken were happy to recommend activities and restaurants as well. There is a lot to do in the area and I cannot wait to visit in the fall. Parking off-street, wi-fi, delicious cookies and juice served in the evenings, beautiful grounds and the list goes on. It was fine going down, not overly flavorful despite having a very flavorful ingredient. However, it was not fine on the way up. And trust, it came back up. Spent the rest of the day sick and throwing up. The only highlight was the coffee; the brown sugar and spice latte was great, would return for that and only that.
