The sale man made a drawling of the fence out line with measurements. The sub contractor did not follow it at all some short some long. Not one of the polls are in aline with each other in a line. We had almost given up when we saw a posting from Don and East Coast Landscaping. He came out, took measurements and gave us an estimate and then came back and sat down with us to go through everything with photos and mapping things out. It was definitely not an easy (or short) job, but everything was done as promised and we are very happy with the results. He and his crew were friendly, courteous and always cleaned up when done. I would recommend them without hesitation and we are having some more landscaping done next! Hopefully he will be able to add some pictures here.

On a side note, they only put handles on the outside of the gate doors. Very odd & inconvenient. Pre-install, we told Rodney's son we wanted a gate that would fit our riding mower & asked if it would be better to put a 2 door opening instead of one. He said it wouldn't matter so we chose the one door gate. About three months later we noticed the gate wasn't lining up when closing it. We called them & eventually they came out to fix it. Less than a month later it started dropping again. Today it has continued to drop causing it to not close securely. At least 3 calls to them with a promise to come fix it, yet no one has shown up. Im not sure about the quality. I think the gate issue is related to an install error. The picket/slats slide up & down allowing me to pull it out completely. The price was competitive with the other estimates we got. In the end we are very disappointed. I chose them because I wanted to support a small business. I certainly cannot recommend them.

They worked safely and avoided any property damage. On the technical side of things, I was satisfied. The bad: The quoting and scheduling process was very disappointing. The estimator visited my property (without me present) and provided a quote after walking the site. A month later, when the scheduled workday came, the technician suddenly said he couldn't honor the quote. He claimed I had poured a new cement driveway since the quote, which was simply not true -- the driveway had been there all along. He explained that using their truck might damage the driveway, so the tree would need to be climbed and removed a different way. That's fine, but the $800 price increase should have been acknowledged as their mistake, not blamed on me. I even offered to meet halfway, but he refused and insisted on the full amount. With no other option, I agreed just to get the tree down. Bottom line: the tree was removed safely, but the lack of accountability and the last-minute upcharge left a very bad impression.
