The only downside that I see is that it's a takeout or outdoor dining only, but the food is really good and it was ready in about 10 minutes. You can build your own Bowl or they serve Sandwiches, Mac & Cheese, Sandwiches, Salads, Sides and Desserts. They also offer Vegan Meatballs & Vegetarian options. You can take a box of their Bronze cut Pasta or a bottle of their Marinara home with you or order it online and have it delivered to you. I got A house favorite-- The Chicken Parmesan. It was a good portion size and I could tell it was freshly made. It was delicious. It has a Buttermilk fried Chicken breast atop their Spaghetti topped with house Marinara, Fresh Mozzarella and Fresh Basil. My wife got the Meatball sub with fresh handcut fries. The sandwich has hand rolled Beef Meatballs topped with house Marinara, Provolone, Mozzarella, Basil and Parmesan served in a fresh baked French Roll. This is a full size sub. It was about 8 or 10 inches. She gave it a 7 out of 10. She said she would get it again. It's worth stopping in and eating or getting some pasta and sauce to take home and make yourself.

Like, it's good enough that you *will* contemplate eating your order in your car before heading home. It's well worth the drive and it will live up to everything you've heard/read. It will. You absolutely need to patronize it. TdG had been on my radar for a minute but I'm not often in Hermitage* and I couldn't justify driving out of town for food when I have other options closer by. BUT I had to find out if the food was *just* that good. I'd read rave after rave. It's just pasta. Can it be that great? So, on a chilly late fall Saturday night I decided I needed to find out. I'd done my research so I knew the place was small. I knew I might need to play human tetris in the waiting area on a cold day. I knew what to order. But I also 'knew' that the 'say Yelp' phrase would offer a discount. The phrase was uttered but no discount came my way (which is the reason for the four stars instead of five). Lack of discount aside, everyone with whom I interacted was very polite and welcoming even despite the place being a madhouse of activity and orders. My food was ready in an appropriate amount of time and the bag had adequate weight/heft. The pleasant aroma filled the cold air as I walked to my car and surrounded me all the way home. I came home, poured a glass of wine, plated my food and... wow. This was/is phenomenal. I ordered the 4 cheese gnocchi and, without a doubt, one of the best gnocchi dishes I have had in life (and I used to be paid to eat**). I think I uttered the word 'perfect' between forkfuls. Each 'perfect' pillowy dumpling was lathered in a combo of mozzarella, asiago, gorgonzola, and pecorino. That alone would have been delicious but woven into the dish were ribbons of crispy prosciutto. Other.Worldy. It's getting cold. Sweater weather is here. Bathing suit season is months away. You're free to eat heaping plates of some of the best pasta you've ever had. *I came before they had a second location. **Among other things.

I think it's rather funny that everyone and their mom continues to make the location of the place…read moreseem scary. In short, writing that it is in a low-income area. And to those people, I ask, "Have you ever been to Antioch?" No, this place isn't scary or in a rough neighborhood. It's definitely not Brentwood, but it's safe to say you can leave your pitchforks and torches at home. It is, for lack of better words, located in a hole in the wall of a micro-tiny strip mall, next to a sports bar. Inside, it is sweet and cozy. In this cozy place, you will find the friendliest of staff members. To have an entire staff give their customers the utmost respect is one of the most challenging tasks of any business owner. So the fact that this owner was able to achieve such a difficult task is something to applaud. There is no board with an entire menu, but there are small pamphlets off to the side with the menu. I ordered the pepperoni pizza along with the meatballs as an appetizer. My friend and I sat outside, where they have outdoor seating and tables. That, I have to say, is the only downside to this place. The seating. No indoor seating, and with how ever-changing Middle Tennessee's weather is, you might have to drive it home or eat it in the car. But with humidity changing texture in a box or to-go box, it might take the freshness away from the experience. After the food was brought out to us, which is a plus and highly appreciated, we were ready to eat. I did have to run inside to grab some packets of crushed red pepper. You must ask for it, which, without hesitation, the man minding the wood stove gladly grabbed for me. Separating a slice of pizza from the others was a sight to see. What you typically want to see separating pizza. The ooey gooey cheese in entanglement. I took a bite and fell in love with the freshness. Every ingredient is fresh, and you don't feel that awful sloth feeling that a Pizza Hut pizza would leave you with. The pepperoni was to die for. Although the meatballs had a flavor that I wasn't too happy with, I knew they were good, even if my flavor profile didn't desire it much. The meatballs were incredibly soft, and the sauce they bathed in, with a sprinkle of ricotta cheese, was divine. My friend happily downed the entire box they sat in. This now will forever be one of my go-to pizza places. And yes, it's worth it to eat in your car, if need be.

I live close to this place and would love for it to be my go to pizza place, but over the years this place has had consistently bad pizza The pasta my wife and I have tried is actually decent, but the pizza crust has had a cracker consistency, but not thin enough to be like a tavern style pizza - It doesn't resemble New York style pizza. The cheese/sauce is average at best. I've gone in to try it by the slice also tried sharing a whole pizza in person with some folks. I thought maybe I was crazy by how poor the quality of the pizza was when the reviews were actually in the four star range. The nail in the coffin for this place was when we decided to order pizza at the house. We ordered 2 large pizzas and no one could finish a slice because they were not good at all. I hate giving negative reviews to local businesses - I'd be glad to come back if the quality improves and give this place another shot.

I especially love it when simplicity and genuine passion is served, not just presentation. Anyway, to start off - this market, and it's a market, not quite a restaurant. When my friend and I stopped in, there was one table, four chairs. Since we were there late, we were able to sit and dine in. Sitting and eating there allowed us to chat with Kojo - the owner. Learning not just about the market but his history and his passion for what he does. Switching gears again - the market is in a huge shopping plaza. Lots of parking. And free. As for the food - see the pics. Dinner pics is mixed in with what was left in the market. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed the flavors of the dishes he made on the spot for us. As we were there late in the day, most of the popular dishes were sold out however, he made a few suggestions, even two that were off the menu and made it to order. When we were there, it was a one man operation. So he was also our host and server. If you couldn't tell - service was excellent. Chatting about food. About seafood. About the beginning of Gulf Port. And about life in general. This is one of those places, that if I lived there - I'd frequent the place just because of him. It's just too bad that me going there requires a plane ticket and a five or so hour flight. But, also know this - next time I fly into Nashville, I'll make my way to Hermitage and have more delicious, fresh seafood.

**April 2025: Saturday Evening Visit**…read more My friend and I wanted to eat somewhere in the Hermitage area since that's where we were staying and Gulf Port Seafood had really high ratings, which were 100% well deserved. I should preface this by saying that Gulf Port is a seafood market first and that they have one table (4 chairs) so you can dine-in - but space is limited. Kojo, the restaurant owner, has both raw and hot options for patrons to enjoy. We came pretty late on a Saturday so many of his popular items (gumbo and lobster roll) were sold out, but we decide to try his other offerings which were delicious. We ordered the 2 orders of Cajun Crawfish Roll (methinks $15?), Seafood Mac & Cheese (methinks $20?) and Shrimp and Grits ($20? maybe) and all were made to order and brought to our table in a timely manner. The Cajun Crawfish Rolls came out first (I guess one order is given two rolls) and we demolished it. The toasted bun had a nice char, but was fluffy on the inside and the cajun sauce gave the crawfish nice flavor. We devoured this and were really impressed with the item. Next the Seafood Mac and Cheese came our as well as the shrimp and grits. The Mac and Cheese had such a great blend of cheeses and the noodles were cooked al dente. The grits on the shrimp and grits were scrumptious - not mushy at all and the shrimp was cooked through. Everything tasted very comforting and the prices are very reasonable! Overall, this was definitely a highlight meal of my Southern States travels and the next time I'm back in Nashville I hope to try the gumbo and lobster roll!

Felt the pizza could have been cooked a few minutes more, but that is my liking. It wasn't very busy, but had a lot of staff on hand. When it was slow the pizza makers would sit at the tables in the dining area on their phones, didn't mind that, but wasn't sure if they washed their hands afterwards when it was time to prepare pizza orders. But, speaking to that, it had a couple of intersting aspects. One, they would literally give you 10-20% more if you ordered that dish to go because their to-go containers when filled were noticeably larger than the dishes your entrees came on. And, two, their "spaghetti" was actually linguine and is 100% the reason linguine is my favorite noodle when it comes to traditional rope pasta. I told you that to tell you this, Fayzano's "linguine" is definitely fettuccine. Those noodles were super wide. Not that that's a huge deal, but much like getting linguine when you're expecting spaghetti, the mouth feel for fettuccine is not the same as the mouth feel for linguine. It holds the sauce different, it retains the clams different, and the proportion of sauce to pasta is super different. I mean--it was good. Clams in red sauce will always be my preferred go-to order, but I still would've rather had the skinnier flat noodles of a linguine than a super wide fettuccine noodle. It's just more satisfying to me. The service here was good. They got our food quickly and with minimum banter. And then they got out of the way, checking in maybe every five to ten minutes, which is the perfect amount. The ambiance was good. It's a good neighborhood pizza and pasta joint like Carmine's. It's not very big but it has a lot of spacing between the tables as not to feel cramped up in there. It's also deceptively laid out to feel fuller than it is, which is nice. It gives the whole place a nice energy. I still wish thru had real linguine, but if that's my chief complaint then you know this place is doing something right.
