She never cried at drop off & she was always so excited to go there. She was practically potty trained there & caught on to the idea so quickly! Although you can bring your own snacks they also provide it at the school & is organic food. One of the best comforts for me as a mom when my child was so little was the small group she was in because I always felt she had the attention she needed. We appreciate that they have their own kids, and as a family care center the most they can ever accommodate is 8 children. This means that our children get much more attention than they would at a larger facility. They really treat us like family! For us this matters because we don't have family in this city, and like family, they've been there for us and very flexible with their support when needed. Further, every now and again our children come home with a special craft or seasonal activity they've completed for Mom and Dad. This is Miles of Smiles going above and beyond. From the moment I first spoke to Riyesha, I could tell she was patient, kind, and genuinely caring for the people in her life. I immediately felt at ease with her experience and unblemished licensing record. Handing over a premature baby at 8 weeks adjusted was so hard, and she made sure to check in frequently about how I wanted to approach things and making sure that both my son and I were comfortable with the care she provided. Riyesha and her mother truly love the children who attend Miles of Smiles like they are their own kids. Along the way, I really felt like we were part of their family as we got to meet and get to know their children. We ultimately decided to move out of California, and informing Riyesha was one of the conversations I dreaded most because she had seen us through some of the hardest parts of my son's first 18 months. I cannot recommend this daycare enough and still keep in touch with Riyesha as a result of the relationship we formed. They are the absolute best!

She greatly enjoyed her time there and as parents we were extremely happy with the school. Ms Angela who is the headmistress of the school is wonderful. She loved the kids and we used to have great conversations with her during pickups. Our daughter started right after the covid pandemic. After being cooped up at home during the pandemic she greatly enjoyed the activities at the school. She stayed there from 8.30AM to 5PM. There were special classes for Yoga, Karate and Gardening. There is a lot of space in the front yard and backyard of the school. The kids played there in the afternoon. We attended the Christmas ceremony where the kids performed songs and yoga on stage and it was awesome! However, the most important aspect of this school is hands-on training. Our daughter became quite independent after she started attending the school. She started to take care of her things such as picking up her toys, cleaning up the papers after her scissor work, and eating with her own hands. We know that Ms Angela had put in a huge amount of time and effort to encourage her to eat on her own. As parents it was a huge boon. On the teaching front also we saw huge development. The school focuses on the Montessori method of teaching. Younger kids did a lot of fun activities with drawing, singing, dancing, painting, scissor work, playing with shapes and beads. Ms Jasmine then taught them the sight words, counting to 50 and addition. It was a very smooth and easy transition for her in kindergarten. Overall, we have very fond memories of the school and the teachers and would recommend it highly to all parents in the Burbank/Glendale area.

Montessori is so important and this school's approach is full of love, play, independence, nurture, art, music, dance, and strong education. My daughter's confidence, independence, learning, and social skills have soared because of this school. She has so many friends and I have made friends with the sweet community of parents. The layout of this school is so special. The outdoor area is massive and the classrooms have so many toys and books. Most of all, these teachers are the most compassionate women. They are expert teachers. My daughter LOVES her teacher. They have the most special relationship. All of the teachers are warm people that I feel very comfortable with. They transform these little balls of mush to independent big kids in the most loving way. I feel like I can call any time and when I have, any 5 of the teachers would magically know exactly what's going on with my child at that moment! In the beginning, when I needed updates on my daughter, this was the biggest comfort. They were so loving and kind during that difficult adjustment to school for the first time. I know as a teacher myself, this time of life is precious and goes by very fast. I want my daughter to have this time learning through play and toys, learning through friendships, learning through art and music, and learning outside before she starts kindergarten. Sorry, but as a teacher myself, I have observed TK. Not doing it. I want my child to have one more amazing year before public school. She will have 12 years of public school; Montessori is special. My son gained so much from an early age--learning how to color, hold a pencil correctly, write his name, and even begin addition and subtraction. We are fortunate beyond belief to have found this incredible school. It has been the most wonderful launching pad for my little one, setting her up for a healthy, curious, kind, and loving life. I found this school after trying many others in the area. New Generation is both play and academically focused, always clean, and has a GORGEOUS backyard play area (I always say it feels heavenly back there). I'll never ever forget how wonderful it felt to pick my daughter up in such a safe and loving environment every day and have her run across that playground to hug me. The school is not only kid-friendly, but parent friendly. They have always been kind and supportive in a way that parents of preschoolers need... they just get it. The front office empathizes and gives of their time and attention, always making me feel safe and seen. They also throw a great party!! The Fall Festival every year is seriously so much fun - we're still planning to go as a family even after we've left! There are always holiday activities, celebrations, shows, adorable Graduations... everything is just so perfect. Most importantly, the teachers are INCREDIBLE. We had Ms. Claudia, Ms. Laura, and Ms. Favi throughout the years, three of the most lovely women, always with a focus on learning, growth, development, and kindness. The kiddos spend so much time at preschool, it has been very comforting to know it is such a wonderful environment, complete with care and attention from very involved teachers. Ms. Favi, our current teacher, truly looks at her students as if they were her own, and treats them as such.
