Great pharmacy! Burbank village pharmacy has been a pleasure to deal with. They are helpful and answer all my questions. They call when my prescriptions are ready. Pick up is easy and quick. Walked in with great expectations based on other reviews but, though I was the only one in the pharmacy, none of the four people behind the counter seemed to want to acknowledge my presence. No one responded when I said hello. No one smiled. When I directly addressed the woman with red hair she clearly didn't want my business. She barely looked at my prescription before telling me "we don't do." I asked if she knew of a pharmacy in the area that could fill my prescription. She said no and went about her business. I'm not sure if my appearance made them feel like they should treat my business like a burden or if this is standard for this location but k won't be back. read more

The St. Jo's hospital complex tends to recommend a compounding pharmacy that lies within their complex, but after yet another poor experience there, we decided to see if this other local compounding pharmacy might be any better, and what a difference it was! Rafi (the pharmacist at BVCP) is that prototypical neighborhood pharmacist that one rarely finds these days: professional, thoughtful, concerned for the patient, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we - and our medical concerns - are being addressed and cared for in the most respectful and helpful manner possible. Rafi spent days actively working with our insurance company, in order to accurately fill the complicated prescription, whilst also giving us the most cost-effective solution available. He was incredibly helpful, and kept us up-to-date on his progress - ultimately getting us our prescription as needed, and at a price that we could afford. Initially I was not satisfied with the service until I began going there more frequently. Before I would walk in, pick up and head out; with no engagements but most recently began to speak with the employees. I want to specifically point out Yester's customer service. She goes above and beyond not only for me but also my mom (and pretty much the rest of my family that's fills prescriptions there). Very sweet and friendly person. Raffi has also been of great help. Whenever we have questions on prescriptions or anything, he is available. Everyone else might need to work on their lack of friendliness. Overall good and quick service. read more

This place is GREAT ! I know it seems weird to get excited by a pharmacy but I literally wandered in with a prescription that my insurance company said I wasn't covered for but I knew I was. The pharmacist listened to what I was saying, got on the phone and fixed the whole thing with my insurance company ! It was AMAZING customer service which really rare these days and I think is something that needs to be respected and rewarded :-) Also prices are VERY reasonable and the service is truly top notch ! Pretty disappointed with my experience which is surprising considering the stellar reviews of this place. Initially, I thought the service was great because I was attended to pretty quickly. The lady that took my prescription had a very meek voice, so she was hard to understand over the boisterous voice of who I think was the owner talking to a patient or a buddy. She gave us an option to wait or come back after 20 minutes. Since there were chairs (which was great by the way), we decided to wait. This is when the experience went from good to bad for me. She had follow up questions. Since the owner was still talking to the patient I couldn't really hear/understand her very well. She had an annoyed tone as we went along because she had to repeat herself several tie. When I understood that she had asked "Do you have any allergies?", I said, "Shrimps/ shellfish allergy". She responded very snarkily" What? What? So....it's not.... medication?". She EVEN shook her head as if I was wasting her time. While I understand that most of the time people only ask for medication allergy, especially in a pharmacy that type of attitude does not fly. And there are some food allergies that correlate to possible medication allergy. I thought she was being thorough, but no. I was going to brush that experience off but the most unprofessional thing happened in front of my eyes. During my wait another customer came in for her father's pain prescription. She was in a rush because he had ran out and needed it immediately. Everyone was explaining to her that the earliest they could give it to her was Monday. That conversation took a few minutes but she eventually left. Then the small room of pharmacists and assistant pharmacists broke into conversation with the person in charge of my medication specifically leading the chatter. They were actually making fun of the customer's eyelashes and appearance. I don't think I'll be coming back with this type of atmosphere. read more

There are no better pharmacies to go to than those that are owned by an independent owner and are not part of a chain. Rafi and his team here at this pharmacy really take the time to not only get to know what you need but they anticipate it so your medicine and your families medicine is ready prior to you even asking for it. I was so excited to see a pharmacy open up across the street from my office. I love being able to support local businesses! Rafi is such a sweetheart! I was not surprised that a couple of my medications had to be ordered out since this is a new business but I was able to pay for all of them at once which made it easy. I look forward to this being my new home pharmacy. Thanks for the great service! Update 04/17/2015: I just wanted to stop by and update this. Three years later and I am still a happy customer here. Rafi has been able to hire a lot of help due to business booming and with the customer service there it is not surprising. The hours might not be as convenient for some but I think it is worth it to adjust things to come here. I highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone in the area. read more

It was my first time at this pharmacy and I can tell you that it was a fast service specially on compound prescription that it takes a day or 2 but mine was ready in an hour ! Since I walked past this place everyday I decided to stop in and ask about transferring my prescriptions from CVS to here. My insurance card had the CVS logo and didn't know if I would have to pay more? After talking with Rafi I found out that co-pays are the same wherever you go and the CVS logo on the insurance card is just a marketing thing. So I had Rafi call and transfer all my prescriptions over with not even a phone call on my part. Thank you Rafi! read more
