This pharmacy is excellent. I live in Glendale, and I'm not sure if my experience applies to those outside the area. But my prescription was called in by my doctor and they delivered the next morning. They offered to deliver the same day, but I wasn't available. I wasn't even charged upon delivery. They took my debt card over the phone the next day. The same person spoke to me on the phone for both calls, and was super helpful, informative and friendly. They made everything absurdly easy. Got our vaccines today! What a cute little place, a true local neighborhood pharmacy. The pharmacist was the best! Very nice guy, he explained the side effects and was very informative. There was no one else there so he took his time. We were a bit nervous, but it turned out to be a better experience than we expected. Felt fine until the evening when it really started to kick in. Great pharmacy in Glendale for all your needs. They deliver your medications and have great customer service. The prices are very reasonable if your insurance does not cover the medication, but they will go to war with your insurance to get the medication approved first. They quoted me a cash price that I was happy with, but later got my medication covered by doing something called Prior Authorization, which my old "chain" pharmacy did not even mention as possibility. The United States is in the midst of an opioid crisis yet it's nearly impossible to find a safe & legal method of disposing of old pain medications! After a decade of searching, I finally found a pharmacy that offers a drug take-back program! This mom & pop pharmacy is doing such an amazing community service! So, my husband had back surgery in 2007 and never finished his prescriptions. We had a ton of narcotics in our house just waiting to get stolen or worse. Back when I was a kid, you could turn in your old meds to just about any pharmacy or law enforcement agency for safe & legal disposal. Over the years it's become nearly impossible to find a place that will do this necessary job. Royal Pharmacy Drugs took on this responsibility as a drug take-back facility in July 2017. It took them a long time to put this FREE SERVICE in place for our community. They are one of only a handful of places that offer drug disposal in all of Los Angeles County. In addition to offering a wonderful service to the community that helps keep our environment clean & our streets safe, the staff at Royal Pharmacy Drugs are SUPER NICE, on top of being good pharmacists. Even though they are kind of a drive for me, I am going to get my future prescriptions filled by these guys, because I want to reward them for their good work. FYI: The pain meds I brought for disposal were in their original pill bottles that included the Rx number etc...I recommend calling in advance of driving over to discuss the meds you want to dump. I would like to acknowledge the responsiveness of the staff at this pharmacy related to accepting old medication for safe and responsible disposal. After seeing this service referenced online in connection with Royal, I called to confirm that they accepted liquids and inhalers, and the woman who took my call did a great job explaining the simple procedure and the limits they could accept. When I arrived the next day, I was able to hand over the medicines, saw them placed in a secured box for shipment to a disposal facility, and that was that. I also learned that the pharmacy absorbs the cost for this disposal service, provided free to the public. Thank you, Royal Pharmacy, for providing this service, for it does not seem to be widespread or easy to access in the LA area.
